"You devil SCUM!" Raynare snarls as she creates a pink light spear in hand.

"Oh. Are we doing this?" I ask as I glance over to see Freed pulling himself from the shattered pew. "Please tell me we are doing this."

The two fallen beside the black haired woman create light spears as well, but I notice the small blonde look over in surprise before relenting and summoning a light spear.

I abruptly hold out a hand to the side, causing several light bullets to bounce off an invisible barrier that I conjure to 'protect' myself.

Freed lunges for me with a crazed laugh, light sword raised above his head. "WE'LL SEE HOW COCKY YOU ARE AFTER YOU'RE FULL OF FUCKING HOLES YOU DUMBASS DEVIL SON OF A BITCH-"

I step to the side and catch his wrist before he can even make a single attack. "You shouldn't be worrying about me, Freed Sellzen."

My elbow smashes into his nose as I bend my arm, I toss him aside like rubbish as I look to the four light spears rocketing towards me.

"Oh no." I blandly state. "Whatever shall I do?"

The four spears crash against my body, the light creating them bending and deforming as they wash over me, leaving me shrouded in smoke as they detonate a moment later.

I swipe my hand through the smoke, clearing it as a figure dashes into view, Freed, who was stabbing his light sword towards my open back abruptly whirls around and blocks a slash from a red sword that pulls back before it could cleave completely through the fragile light blade.

I casually duck under a swipe from a blue light spear as I smirk at the fedora wearing fallen holding it.

"God. You really are wearing a fedora and trench coat, hn?" I vocally observe as I step into his guard and twist around him, I give him a small shove that causing him to stumble slightly.

The blue haired fallen is next, swinging around a yellow light spear, as I continue my small spin I hop over her, completing a single flip over her body and landing on my feet behind her. The spear in her hand leaves a golden arc in the air from how fast she is swinging it in the dim church.

A pink spear crashes into my open back, washing over my body with a small explosion.

I look over my shoulder to see Raynare rush forwards with a deep violet spear with thorns protruding from the sides.

I casually slide in between her legs on my knees, avoiding her slash and doing a kip-up to regain my footing once I am behind her.

She whirls around and goes for a slash, but I calmly rotate around her, staying just out of range of her attack the entire time.

Dohnaseek stabs at my side as Kalawarner goes for an upwards diagonal slash.

"Are you even fighting the real me?" I ask suddenly as I stop moving. Just as the three attacks reach me, I shatter like glass, reappearing a short distance away, sat on the statue the small blonde was sat upon a few moments ago, one leg crossed over the other.

The three attacks clash, causing the three spears to detonate.

The three fallen are blown in opposite directions, sliding to a halt a good twenty feet away from the original detonation sight.

"My... you are starting to bore me." I drawl, announcing my presence to the room.

The blonde shakily looks over her shoulder, her eyes wide. There's a slight shake to her hand, the light spear in her hand dimming and brightening as if it is struggling to remain materialized.

I shoot her a smirk and a small wave, my gaze going past her to see Arthur wordlessly deflect Freed's attack with his singular red blade. His sword flashes through the air, deflecting three quick point-blank gunshots as he glares at the exorcist with frown.

He dodges a slash and slams the pommel of the blade into Freed's nose. There's a small spray of blood as the psychopath's nose crumples.

Three light spears crash into the statue, causing me to shatter like glass once more as the upper torso of the broken statue detonates, sending pieces of stone flying around the destroyed church.

I appear behind Dohnaseek, my hand placed across my eyebrows as I gaze in the direction he is looking. "Did you get him?"

He whirls around, light spear forming in hand as he goes to cleave my head off.

My left arm crosses my chest as I catch his elbow, stopping his attack dead in its tracks.

I place my other hand on his torso, palm facing his chest.

He is shot back by an invisible force, he is rag dolled through the air, blood spews from his nose and mouth as his ribs snap, he crumples to the ground a good thirty feet away.

That was nonlethal? Damn lying metamagic. I liquidated his internal organs.

"Dohnaseek!" Kalawarner shouts.

A frown crosses my face. "Now... that won't do."

The entire side of the church the man landed on is engulfed in black and white fire as I raise a hand.

A moment later the flames clear, revealing nothing has been scorched.

Kalawarner who had been caught in the blast has her arms crossed in front of her, eyes wide in terror.

Dohnaseek sits up with a gasp, eyes wide as the blonde fallen drifts downwards and collapses onto her knees, a horrified expression on her face.

"SO WHAT IF I ATTACKED THE BITCH?! I'LL GO AND RAPE THE DEVIL WHORE RIGHT AND FORCE YOU TO WATCH YOU HERITIC BASTA-"

I point an arm back, my hand with index and middle finger extended, without even looking I cock my thumb back like a gun's hammer.

*Sprt-*

The man's forearm is blown off by an invisible force, his hand flies through the air, tightly gripping a pistol. "MY ARM! FUCK! SHIT! FUCK SHIT! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!"

The blade in Arthur's hand ignites as he swipes it through the air, the priest attempts to fling himself backwards in an effort to get out of the blade's range, but Arthur takes a step forwards before completing the swing, cleaving the exorcist from hip to shoulder.

There's a shower of gore as the priest collapses back onto the floor in two pieces.

Raynare lunges forwards, her blade arcing for my neck.

It breaks like all the others, causing me to turn my attention back to her.

My hand comes up and grabs the top of her head. "Good try."

I put pressure atop her head, forcing her legs to buckle and for her to collapse onto her knees. "Now be a good little girl and stop being so annoying."

The black haired woman stiffens up as I release the top of her head. She stares up at me fearfully.

Frankly, all of them look at me like I'm some sort of monster.

They're not wrong. I can regenerate my head after it is literally atomized.

Arthur looks over as he begins cleaning the blood off the blade with a handkerchief. A truly large undertaking considering the color of the blade.

"So." I begin slowly as with a wave of my hand the four fallen are tightly gripped in the power of my fifth level Telekinesis spell. They are swiftly lined up and left there on the floor as a large pew slides across from them, a good ten feet away from their kneeling forms.

I calmly take a seat. "Why, pray tell, are there a bunch of little shits in my town, murdering my peerage's contractors and assaulting the people I care about?"

"As if we would tell you anything!" Raynare growls.

"I could always just kill you." I shrug. "I'm fully in my right to. You brought a literal small army into the town I am overseeing."

Raynare opens her mouth to respond.

"Yes, I know about the schmucks in the basement." I deadpan, interrupting the black haired woman. "Cut the shit. Tell me why you're here or I'll make it so you wish you could die."

Raynare glares challengingly, Dohnaseek stares impassively, Kalawarner looks at the floor.

"We... were sent here to monitor you." The blonde at the far end begins slowly.

"Mittelt! You traitor!" Raynare snarls.

"I am not a traitor. You let that fool Sellzen off his leash. Why you even BROUGHT him here in the first place is what confuses me! We all knew he was an insane psychopath! But you JUST had to bring him, hm? What did you THINK was going to happen?! This is all your fault, Raynare."

"It was by Kokabiel's orders!" Raynare snaps at the short blonde. "If I had it my way, that sickening man wouldn't have even set foot in this town."

"And what's so special about little ol me?" I ask with a small smile personally enjoying their little squabble quite a bit.

"Azazel heard that you created a holy sword that is about on par with the strongest holy sword, Caliburn." The blonde answers slowly. "We were never supposed to contact or even meet you."

"I see... so that means you are here on official orders." I note with a frown. "Hn... killing you would be an annoying hassle to deal with."

Raynare perks up, along with a majority of the other fallen. Dohnaseek just looks disappointed for some... reason?

He must be one of those 'die in the glory of battle' sort of dudes.

"Tell you what... I'll let two of you go free... you can decide amongst yourselves who can leave but the other two-"

*Schlick*

I blink slowly.

A fedora wearing man's head flies through the air as the blue haired fallen leaps to her feet and slashes a light spear through the neck of the seated fallen, beheading him.

"KALA WHAT THE FUCK?!" The blonde shrieks as she leaps to her feet, pink light spear appearing in her hands.

*Sprrt*

Her eyes grow wide as a pink light spear impales her from behind, causing blood to spew from her mouth. "W-why?"

"You are... Naïve, Mittelt." Raynare slowly stares as the pink barbed spear winks out of existence, causing a second spray of blood to pour from the gaping wound in the petite fallen's stomach. "This is how the world works."

The girl collapses back into a puddle of her own blood.

The two remaining fallen look at me with maddening greed.

Not to myself of course, but greed for survival. For life.

"We are free to go, yes?" Raynare asks.

I frown at her. "You two are free to leave... this mortal coil."

I hold up two fingers, and in the next moment two beams of white and black pierce cleanly through the torso of the women, their eyes grow wide as they seem to comprehend what just happened, there's now a softball sized hole in the center of each of their chests, going completely through.

The two women fall as if they are puppets with their strings cut. The wounds are cauterized so there's no blood, no gasps or final quips, just the silent realization that they are both very dead.

"Tch." I let out a low click. "People should really let me finish what I'm saying."

"You... Lied to them?" Arthur mutters. "You made them kill their friends then you executed them..."

"No... I didn't make them kill their friends... and I didn't lie." I deny. "I was originally going to say 'Two of you can go free but two of you can stay' as in, two can go leave a message that I'm keeping two hostages. But they just turned around and killed their two teammates. Thus, I decided to just kill them as rewarding that sort of behavior is honestly not a good idea for anyone. If I let them go, they'd spin some sort of lie about how I 'forced them' to kill their friends like I'm some sort of savage. It's best to nip that in the bud."

"I... see." The man mutters slowly. "This all still was uncharacteristically evil of you. The toying with them. Playing with their minds like that."

"I never said I was a good person." I scoff. "In fact, I remember telling you and Le Fay over and over again that I was a bad person. I just can't stand it when someone tries to hurt what's mine... my peerage... my friends... my town."

"Well. I suppose I'll tell Serafall about those stray exorcists in the basement. See how she wants to play this against the Grigori."

I blink as I hear a certain sound, quiet sniffling.

I look over to the blonde fallen's prone form to see it shuddering.

I get up slowly and walk over to the blonde and look down at her she is crying, blood pooling around her mouth as tears leak out of the corners of her unfocused and dazed eyes. "I-I don't want to die. I-it hurts... I-I it's so cold. I-It hurts so much."

"There's so much I want to do." She whispers "S-So much I want to see. I-I can't die here. I-I won't. I won't d-die here."

I look down at the girl and cross my arms, staring up are those two blue eyes, her blood stained pink dress, her matted blood stained drill-styled hair, I quickly blink, returning the girl back to her original black maid-esque outfit and messy pigtails.

I could save her easily with my healing fire... but... nothing in this life is free.

"I can save you if you want." I announce.

Arthur shoots me a confused look as the girl seems to actually realize I am here instead of staring at the space in front of her.

"But if I'm going to do it. You'll become a devil." I slowly state. "Do you accept."

"You'll... save... me?" She whispers. "Why?"

"Who cares about 'why'. Yes or no. Tick tock. You're dying."

"I-"

She falls silent for a second, then her voice echoes out, barely a whisper. "I accept."

"Oh joy." I boredly hum as pull a single non mutated pawn from my pocket. "You can rest, then."

I cast a sleep spell on her, push the pawn piece through her chest, and heal her stomach wound with my healing flames.

"You... forced a dying girl into your peerage." He observes.

"No. I let her have a choice. Normally I would have just let her just bleed out, but for a second... do you want to know what I saw in her? Ravel. I saw Ravel. The only reason I decided to save her was because of a whim... but thinking back on it, realistically she was the most professional of her bunch. She prioritized her mission of not angering the devils here far more than her allies. The only reason she attacked me is because they forced her hand."

I look back. "Besides. A fallen angel could potentially be of use in the future after she gets stronger... and this is a useful connection to Azazel."

"And speaking of making contact with faction leaders..."

I pull out my phone and quickly type out a text.

"Heeeey, Serafall, a Stray exorcist that's allied with the Grigori attacked one of my peerage members and murdered a contractor in Kuoh. I tracked him down and killed him and defended myself from the fallen he was with. Now there's like a small army of stray exorcists in the basement of the building I'm in. What do?" - Gaius 5:43

This message has been read

I see three dots appear at the bottom of the screen, then disappear a moment later as she seems to be trying to formulate a reply.

They reappear a moment later.

"Where." - Miricle Sera-Tan Levi-Chan 5:44

"The abandoned church." - Gaius 5:44

Nothing happens for a moment.

I look to the healed fallen in a puddle of her own blood and gently pick her up and place her unconscious body on the pew after casting prestidigitation to rid her clothing of the blood. Leaving her with her usual clothing, just with a large hole roughly where her belly button is.

I tap my fingers on the arm of the pew lazily as I wait.

I look back to Arthur. "You can leave if you really want. We've accomplished the goal, and now all that remains is the probably annoying talk about straining relations within the factions and such."

"I'll go..." He nods slowly. "I'll tell Le Fay her contractor has been avenged."

I look over to Freed's corpse and let out a sigh. "I just wish they didn't have to be avenged."

He leaves the room as I look to the unconscious girl.

Hn. I'll have to keep watch over her for a while, but her light weaponry would be of some use in killing the old satan faction when they become an issue.

Besides. She does look a lot like Ravel... and a lot like Le Fay now that I think about it. Blue eyes, blonde hair, short, the only difference I see is the fact that she's as flat as a washboard.

It's a short wait, about thirty minutes, and during said wait, my new pawn remains unconscious.

"Gai-Taaaan. Why do you keep making your precious Sera-Tan's life so hard!"

"It's not my fault Azazel can't control his fucking minions." I scoff with a shrug as I look over my shoulder. "I mean, really, the SECOND I found out that they were here, all but this one tried to immediately kill me!"

Serafall slowly walks through the broken doorway and looks around... Primarily at the carnage.

"Gai-Tan." The Satan sighs. "Normally I'd yell at you for being reckless, but in this situation, you did the right call. Azazel didn't tell anyone they were here, and since they attacked first, you were in your rights to kill them."

"But what about the guys in the basement? I'm fairly certain they've realized something is wrong."

"I'll round them up and ship them back to Azazel after I get a little... information." She states ominously.

"Can you tell him to keep a tighter leash on Kokabiel? He's probably the main reason all this went to shit as he forced these four idiots to take the psychotic priest."

"I... will not be able to say those exact words, but I will suggest that Kokabiel should watch what his actions may cause." She slowly states.

"Okay, good." I nod as I slowly stand up. "In that case I'll take my new pawn and get out of your hair."

I pick up the unconscious girl in a bridal carry and sling one of her limp arms around my shoulder.

Serafall stares at me for a long moment.

"You... reincarnated one of them?" She whispers.

"I mean, yeah." I nod. "She was stabbed in the back by her supposed friends. And I mean that in the most literal sense. Spear through the spine. She also looks a lot like Ravel. Are you saying you wouldn't reincarnate some random black haired, glasses wearing girl that looks suspiciously like Sona if she had potential?"

"…" her silence is damning

"That's going to cause strain between factions." Serafall points out.

"Eh. She agreed to it and she's just a two winged fallen." I shrug as I walk past Serafall.

My eyes lock onto the side of her head as I slowly walk past. "By the way... you still haven't paid me for the cake."

"Oh, I'm working on something that'll be more than enough payment for allowing me to see So-tan's sweet supple body!" The woman drools slightly but wipes her mouth a moment later. "Speaking of your... payment... roughly how strong... are you? Like... in a fight?"

"Who knows." I shrug. "I've never had a situation where I've needed to go all out. I'm definitely within ultimate class, though. Just not quite so sure where my limit lays."

"Hnnn. Okaaaay! I'll drop by to question your new pawn a little when she wakes up! She probably has far more information than any of those humans in the basement!"

"Bye Sera-tan." I call over my shoulder as I leave the dilapidated church with my prize.
