Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Hidden Dungeon (1) Survival Quest
100,000 years ago, two mythical beings engaged in battle. One, a reptilian dragon of pure black color with black eyes, was known as the Abyssal Dragon. The other, a serpentine dragon of pure white color with white eyes, was named the Celestial Dragon.
In the war, The Abyssal Dragon, the King of the Abyss, sent his army throughout the worlds to capture any and all forces that could be used to harm the forces of the Celestial Dragon.
The Celestial Dragon, The King of Celestia, sent his army to protect the worlds from the rampages of the Abyssals in name, but in reality, he used the act of saving to enlist them in his army.
On a planet on the verge of maturing to handle the mana, a young dragon witnessed the birth of an unparalleled genius. Her soul was the most beautiful he had ever seen, and her appearance didn't lose out to it.
He witnessed her growth and hoped for the world to mature faster so that he could enter it and claim her as his own.
But fate was cruel to both him and her, as she fell in love with someone else.
The young Abyssal Dragon raged, and in his fury, he cursed the humans of that planet with the Physique Corrosion Curse, a Legendary Rank Curse, at the cost of his own lifespan.
The Dragons are prideful creatures. If they claim something as their own, they desire it fervently. But if it cannot be theirs, then they believe no one else should possess it either.
The ignorant humans on the planet assumed the curse to be a kind of disease and did everything to find a cure for it.
The woman whom the dragon desired continued to grow, eventually giving birth to a boy. Tragically, she passed away immediately after childbirth, leaving the boy and her husband in profound pain, while the dragon watched solemnly.
After some years, the woman's husband became cursed, opting to sacrifice his happiness for his family, who did not appreciate him. As the years passed, he found himself unable to bear the pain and loneliness, leading him to ultimately commit suicide.
The time in which he endured, the idea for the cure came out to be, although even if the cure was made it will never work for it is not a disease but a curse.
After some years, another girl was born, the granddaughter of the woman whom he had loved.
Her appearance and soul, when compared to others, could only be described as beautiful, while others seemed ugly in comparison.
The young dragon couldn't identify the talent of the girl, except for recognizing it to be extraordinary.
The dragon took an interest in her, for she possessed the same beautiful purple eyes as his beloved.
To her misfortune and his grief, the curse he cast in rage afflicted her.
He regretted his decision to cast a curse on the humans of the planet, but he couldn't do anything.
To cast it, he had used an immense amount of life essence, and now he was powerless.
He watched as her family perished at the hands of thugs because they couldn't repay the debt they had accrued.
He watched her grow, witnessed her relentless fight against the curse without giving up, observed her tears, and saw her gradually losing emotions. Over time, he grew fond of her.
As he started to see her as family, to his grief, he watched her die.
And he swore to revive her, not as a human but as a spirit, one of the mythical beings.

754 Km North of Villette City
Villette Mountain Range

In a cave somewhere in the middle of a snowy mountain to the very north of the continent Eusia, mana suddenly started to gather at a single point.
The mana slowly became visible, eventually forming a spherical portal of blue color.
From within it emerged a beautiful young girl with brown hair, red at the tips and striking red eyes.
The moment she emerged, she glanced around, immediately bent slightly, and took off running without pause, not glancing back.
The portal, which was stable for a moment, suddenly started to suck everything around it inside, eventually imploding and destroying the cave system, causing rocks to fall around the place.
Elysia continued to run for 10 minutes without pause, eventually slowing down until she came to a stop at a dead end.
She stepped forward and touched the rock with a spiral mark on it and said, "Reveal what is hidden, for I am Elysia Soubuelle, <Revelation>"
The moment she said it, a white magic circle manifested on the wall, causing it to disappear like mist and making the spiral-marked rock fall down.
She picked up the rock and entered the hidden area, revealing a vacant space with a magic circle drawn on the ground.
After entering the area, she moved to the east side of the magic circle from the entrance and crushed the rock in her palm. It revealed a platinum-feathered pen that shone faintly. Using the pen, she drew the same spiral mark on the ground inside an empty circle. She then stood up, went to the center of the magic circle drawn on the ground, and spoke,
"Oh, the natural forces that govern all, heed my call.
I implore you, guide me to the chosen path.
<Teleportation>"
With each word spoken, she imbued the magic circle with mana, causing it to shine with blue light.
The more she spoke, the brighter the circle became until, with the magical word, it abruptly shone with a bright blue light. The light slowly started to die down until eventually, all the radiance dissipated, revealing an empty room devoid of any life.
After a minute or so, the cave started to tremble, and the ceiling collapsed, burying the room and destroying the delicately drawn circle.

On top of a different mountain in the same range, but 10 km away from the previously mentioned mountain, a snow Sakura tree resides.
In front of the tree, a blue-colored magic circle suddenly manifested on the ground, revealing a beautiful girl. Upon arrival, she immediately looked around, spotted the Sakura tree, walked towards it, circled around a bit, and upon seeing the same spiral mark on its trunk, she pointed the feathered pen. With the pen, she created another spiral mark beside it and a line at the base between them (@_@).
The moment she drew it she took a step back and said, "Reveal what is hidden, for I am Elysia Soubuelle, <Revelation>"
The moment she finished the chant, a white-colored magic circle manifested in front of the mark she drew. Afterward, another magic circle came into existence near her on the ground, revealing a set of stairs leading down.
The moment the stairs became visible, she immediately descended through them.
After walking on the stairs for five minutes, a door appeared in front of her. Drawing the same mark on the tree (@_@) caused the doors to open, revealing a small space with just a test tube and a platinum ring on top of a wooden table.
She stepped inside, took the ring, and placed it on the ring finger of her right hand, infusing it with a mystical energy known as soul energy. After inspecting the contents, she smiled for the first time and then turned her attention to the test tube. Swiftly, she picked it up and examined the blood inside, which seemed to stir at her touch for some inexplicable reason. After a moment of contemplation, she carefully placed the test tube inside the ring.
Next, she took out a scroll from her ring and immediately tore it, which turned into particles of light and eventually created a bronze-colored arrow which spun around like a compass and pointed towards north.
She looked at it, then went upstairs and started descending the mountain filled with trees.
Throughout her journey towards the north, she kept releasing small amount of soul energy scaring the hell out of any being near her.
After walking for an extended amount of time, she suddenly stopped and looked at her legs.
She frowned and removed the sandals, leaving her feet bare, the moment she looked at her feet she frowned, for her toes were covered in disgusting black lines.
She immediately wore her sandals and said, "Curse Status", aloud resulting in the appearance of an ethereal screen only visible to her.

"It dropped from the time I made a contract with Lily, perhaps due to her transformation into a false vampire," she mumbled aloud, eventually releasing a sigh and closing the screen.

"Yup, talk about complete. Hmm? Ah, I didn't heal myself." After looking at her new status screen, she nodded in satisfaction. When her gaze went towards her additional ability, she exclaimed in realization, remembering that her body is injured due to the mana pressure emitted by the golden-eyed beauty.
Without warning suddenly her body got surrounded by platinum flames for a few seconds completely healing her from inside out.
"Come to think of it, she seemed similar to one of the protagonist's mothers, Emilia Silvester, the fifth strongest human at SSS Rank. The other one must be Amaryllis Astaseul, the second strongest human similarly at SSS Rank. Hmm... I wonder if it's another variable, as Amaryllis wasn't at SSS Rank but is an X Rank individual. Perhaps she is hiding her rank from everyone? Whatever the case, I have to watch her live performance after coming out of the Hidden Dungeon."
She shrugged off the thought regarding Amaryllis Astaseul and resumed her journey albeit this time she ran towards her destination following the arrow.
After running for another 5 Km, she came across a clearing in the middle of which a shining white colored portal resided not giving any kind of indication of its presence.
"I just hope the system doesn't give me too tough a quest." After saying so, Elysia took a step forward and entered the white portal, taking her to the Hidden Dungeon.
