Chapter 1: 1. the Assassin's Ended in the Emperor's Warm Bed
Lord of Darkness, The Morphe, Emperor of the Night. These are all nicknames for the main male character in the novel <I Want to Kill My Ex-Husband>, namely Adam del Radford.

But I have to say that the word 'soft' here still makes Rubby feel tormented and that's what I felt last night. I was so tormented by Adam's tenderness.

This is the first time I feel tormented. Even though usually I often carry out torture. Before entering the world of novels, I was a hitman who sometimes got paid to kill by torturing my targets.
Even so, I am a person who can live a peaceful life with my dirty work. I have luxury facilities in the city for me to relax when I don't have work. Well, of course I get all these luxuries from my work and I quite enjoy my life which is colored red.

The novel entitled <I Want to Kill My Ex-Husband> has an outline of the plot which tells the story of the main character named Rubby Carnelia who wants revenge on Emperor Adam del Radford who is her ex-husband before she can finally divorce and escape the clutches of the crazy Adam and likes torturing her.
Emperor Adam's marriage to Rubby was not based on love but because of force and obsession. In fact, initially Rubby was just a comfort woman who was chosen and forced to warm the Emperor's bed until Adam finally decided to marry Rubby because of his obsession with Rubby, who in fact had many similarities with Ruvina, the woman Adam once loved to the point that he was willing to go down to hell.
"Good morning, Your Majesty Ruby," said someone. It was a maid and it seemed like she came to do my make-up.
"Morning..." I replied then the maid came in and did all her work. Helping me prepare for bathing, preparing my clothes and putting on my make-up. She was very careful combing and doing my hair because that was one of the things that made Adam really like Rubby's character.
As I said earlier, Rubby has similarities with Ruvina and one of them is the color of her hair, which is poppy red.
After finishing my make-up, this maid then escorted me to the front door of the palace dining room.
"Then I'd like to excuse you, Your Majesty," said the maid and then she left me. Ah, it would be nice if I entered the world of this novel just to be that maid. But why do I have to be Rubby Carnelia?.
I stared at the door for a moment before the guard finally opened the door and I couldn't help but have to go in and have breakfast with the man. The main male character in this novel is Emperor Adam. This is the second time I will come face to face with him.
The first time I laid eyes on him was when I suddenly woke up in Adam's bed. Whereas before, in my world it seemed like I was on the beach at night and enjoying the sea breeze while watching my target.
But that night I was like a trapped animal and to this day I don't know when I can return or how I will return to my original world.
"Good morning, Your Majesty," I said. I greeted and respected Adam who was cutting meat for breakfast.
"Sit down and eat," he said. I just obeyed and did what he ordered. From what I know, Rubby's character at this time is very obedient and doesn't dare to argue or fight Adam. So I had to play the role of a timid and fragile female lead.
Actually, I'm just trying to adapt to this world without causing chaos. Let's just say I was watching my target before I finally killed them with a single shot to the head.
Yes. For now. I chose to watch Adam silently. And watch this world so that it doesn't fall into its grip so deeply.

And because her hands were shaking, she dropped the knife she was using to cut the steak, then the next thing was Rubby who quickly picked up the fallen knife.
But that was a mistake. As the wife of the emperor Adam and queen of the Pyrrhus empire, she should not have knelt down just because her dinner knife fell to the floor. That is something that is inappropriate and not nice to look at.
Luckily there were only Rubby and Adam in the dining room so outsiders didn't need to see this inappropriate thing. But again it was a mistake for Rubby because things like that were only seen by Adam, someone who really loved her and was obsessed with her.
"What are you doing?. Why did you kneel on the floor just to get that knife?!. Is the knife more important than looking at me so you would rather look down?!" Adam said. It was a dialogue he said to Rubby that went awry in his eyes.

The next scene in the novel is when Adam steps on Ruby's hand who is about to pick up the knife that fell on the floor.

Yes. No one can hurt Rubby except Adam himself. That's something crazy about the main male character in this novel. It's very clear that Adam is the Red Flags Male Lead.
His actions and words are often contradictory and this makes Rubby not know what to do to face Adam.
But not for me. I think I can handle this crazy guy. No matter how. Even though I have to be the main female character with Black Flags.
But that doesn't mean I'm going to fight him head-on. Besides, I'm actually one of the readers who really likes Adam's character, I mean from the visual side of the character.
But I didn't expect that after seeing it directly like this, I would still like the main male character in this novel and maybe I wouldn't be able to hate Adam like the original Ruby character.
