Chapter 236: Chapter 235 "Liberation"

Though Skyler never personally targeted these two individuals, the harrowing experiences of Hector and Lucinda unfolded before Irina and Miles. The wretched screams, desperate cries, and gruesome scenes became etched in their memories.

Even though they were not directly involved, the terror they witnessed haunted them, causing their souls to shudder. The fear of becoming the next victims enveloped them, plunging them into a perpetual state of anxiety.

The concept of peaceful sleep had long eluded them. Closing their eyes brought forth involuntary replays of Hector and Lucinda's tragic fates. No matter their efforts, they couldn't dispel these haunting images. Attempts at Occlumency only intensified the vividness of these horrific memories.

Regret gnawed at them, regretting the choices that led to their current predicament. They would never have dared to provoke this perceived demon if they had foreseen their fate.

Indeed, Skyler had transformed into a demonic figure in their minds—a being of unparalleled terror and malevolence. If there were categorizations and gradations of demons, Skyler would undoubtedly represent the most fearsome and malevolent entity in their perception.

Footsteps echoed on the stone steps, causing both Irina and Miles to involuntarily shudder. The ominous, all-too-familiar sound heralded the arrival of the devil himself.

Irina was no longer clad in her original wizard robe from the bottom of the lake; instead, she adorned a form-fitting black leather jumpsuit.

This snug ensemble encased her from slender legs to the neckline, extending even to her palms. Oddly, the jumpsuit lacked any discernible buttons or zippers, perplexing in its method of donning and doffing.

An invisible force seemed to cinch her waist and abdomen, akin to an unseen girdle, accentuating her chest's fullness and highlighting her alluring curves. Her long brown hair, fashioned into a high ponytail, cascaded down like a genuine pony's tail.

Miles, on the other hand, sported a goblin-forged copper-colored metal breastplate. This slim piece connected to a metal collar encircling his neck through delicate iron chains, complemented by metal guards on both left and right shoulders.

He wore dark green louvered trousers coupled with skirt armor on his lower body. The leaf-shaped scales, densely arranged on the armor, gleamed with the luster of jade and emitted mysterious magical fluctuations.

Muscles protruded prominently on his back, adorned with a pair of lifelike wings intricately tattooed with magical ink.

Completing the descent down the stone steps, Skyler now stood on the cold lime floor of the dungeon. Irina and Miles simultaneously knelt, crawling on all fours toward Skyler, and reverently kissed the hem of his dark green wizard robe.

Under the weight of extreme fear, despair, and prolonged mental torment, the will, dignity, and personality of these two individuals had already crumbled. They willingly entered into a magical contract of lifelong servitude, pledging to serve Skyler as their master until the end of their days.

"How are they?" Skyler inquired softly.

Irina raised her head, presenting her pretty face, and with a flattering expression, she replied, "We strictly adhere to the master's instructions, administering a nutritional potion every three hours to ensure their vitality remains boundless, never hindering the master's affairs."

"Very good. Your loyalty is commendable," Skyler commended, extracting two bottles of potion from his robes. "This is the Slytherin Blood Potion. Drinking it will enhance your magical power, allowing you to reach at least the peak level of an adult wizard and better serve me."

"Yes, it is our mission to serve the master!" The two of them simultaneously lowered their heads, agreeing in a deep voice.

"When you leave here and go out to work for me, forget your past!" Skyler displayed a cold smile. "I will give you a brand new identity—"

"From now on, you will be in the organization. Just act under the code name!" Skyler asserted solemnly. "Irina, your code name is 'Night Cat,' and you are responsible for contacting the underworld and scattered forces in Knockturn Alley, helping integrate them. You can seek assistance from my other contacts, who will inform you when you reach there. Remember," his tone suddenly turned cold, "Anyone who resists or disobeys will be dealt with mercilessly!"

"Yes!" responded 'Night Cat,' who had already assimilated into the role.

"Miles, your code name is 'Hawkeye.' You are responsible for contacting those creditors owed by Ludo Bagman, arousing their resentment and grievances, and uniting them in shared hatred. Then, find ways to create an opportunity to form a debt collectors' alliance. Agatha Timms, the owner of Eel Farm in Leicestershire, has been acquired by me. She holds half of the shares in Eel Farm and is Bagman's primary creditor—"

"As long as you successfully form the Debt Collectors Alliance, she will elect you as the leader. Remember—" Skyler smiled, "Our target is not Bagman, but this group of creditors who have too much money. Since Bagman is at the end of his rope and can no longer repay the money, you can operate appropriately and ask him to pay back part of the arrears every year on a regular basis to prevent the alliance from disbanding. So you have to carefully calculate the amount. The money you get back cannot be too much or too little. It should be just enough so that this group of creditors always maintains the hope of successfully recovering all their debts."

"Your biggest obstacle is the goblin—" Skyler said coldly, "Bagman owes the goblins more money. They have been closely monitoring and tracking Bagman. Any amount of money you take back from Bagman, no matter how small, is seen as eroding their interests in the eyes of the goblins. But you don't need to worry about them; you just have to let go and do what you should do. Leave the situation with the goblins to me. Do you understand?"

"Yes!" "Eagle Eye," who had seamlessly embraced the role, responded.

"Very good. After you leave here, go directly to the Malfoy Armor Shop in Diagon Alley. Someone will change your appearance there and create a new identity for you." Skyler waved his hand, "Now, go!" The two left. After that, Skyler's eyes suddenly turned cold. He looked at Hector and Lucinda, and said with a smile: "My old friends, I have been here for so long, and you haven't said anything.?"

Hector opened his eyes slightly and saw Skyler's harmless smile. His whole body trembled as strongly as if he had received an electric shock. A fishy smell emanated from below him, enveloping his lower body. A stained piece of brown burlap had large water stains—

He was incontinent. The dark yellow liquid dripped drop by drop from the hem of the burlap to the ground, making a ticking sound.

"Oh! Look at this," Skyler tsked and said: "Our eldest son of the Fawley family, the next head of the family appointed by the family, and the majestic chairman of the Ghost Society, he was so frightened that he became incontinent when he saw me... ...I wonder if your supporters will continue to support you as the leader if they see this scene?"

Hector opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He was so ashamed that he wished he could die immediately rather than suffer such an insult. He wanted to cry, but found that the dry corners of his eyes could no longer shed a single tear.

Lucinda managed to open her dry and peeling lips, shouting in a hoarse voice: "You, you devil! You...you pervert!... You don't keep your promise! You clearly promised to let us go..."

Skyler spread his hands, adopting an innocent expression, and said, "Miss, if you say so, I can sue you for slander and defamation! It doesn't matter if you call me a devil or a pervert. I haven't broken my promise. When did I break it?" He walked forward, gently lifting Lucinda's chin with his hand. "Tsk, tsk, such a beautiful woman has turned into this inhuman, ghostly appearance. Forget it. Considering your miserable situation, I will not pursue your slander and defamation this time."

Skyler put down his hand and stared at the two of them with cold eyes.

"In order to convince you, I will try my best to explain! I promised you that I would not kill you, and I would also let you live, but—" Skyler's lips raised slightly, "I never specified when it would happen."

"No, right?" Skyler said with a smile. "Then when you say that I don't keep my promise, is it slander or defamation?"

"Besides," Skyler ignored the two people who were talking with resentment. With eyes blazing with desire, he said to himself: "I'm here today just to fulfill my promise——" Skyler paused for a moment, with a rare smile on his face, "I'll ask the two of you now. Are the two of you ready for liberation?"
