Chapter 5: My roomie
Lilaac's POV
" So Lilly! Why didn't you applied from the start but wait until now? Is this your plan to be my roommate? I'll have to say I'm impressed." Diane said smirking in the middle of unpacking my stuffs. Wow this girl and her delusions , I know she's hot but really? She already assumed I'm after her when we just met , I have to say I'm speechless for a moment.
" I originally plan on staying home and commute . I have to change my plan because of some circumstances. Please don't assume everyone is after you just because you look good . There are also people just minding their own business . And for your information, I don't like girls, I only date boys so your concern is unnecessary." I replied without looking up still finishing my unpacking .
" That's too bad because you already spark my interest . You still admitted I look good though so I'm not really buying your ' I'm so straight story ' . I know a gay girl when I see one and you're definitely one of us ." She continued talking as she stood up done with what she was doing.
" You can think whatever you want but I'm sticking with what I said , I only date boys and it's not uncommon to notice when someone looks good without being attractive to them . It's like you're saying I will date a cow because they look good , does that make sense to you ?" I try to sound as calm as possible. I'm not going to give in to her games.
" I guess if you say it like that." She shrugged about to go to her side of the room but she turned back to me as if she remembered something.
" I don't know why you insist on dating boys but I'll have to say you're missing out A LOT . Boys are just trash, you only keep them around for some time. It's hopeless being serious about them. It's either you play him around or he played with you. On that note, do you know your boyfriend is still after me ? Do you see how they're like? I rejected him of course , I wouldn't want to hurt you ." She said giving me a 'see what I mean ' look . What does this girl even have against the male population? She's speaking they did something terrible to her .
" Actually I already broke up with him. I have no place for a cheater . You can do whatever you want with him . Both of you enjoy playing around anyway." I replied slightly annoyed.
" Wow ! Don't get too feisty. I'm just looking out for you. " She said chuckling .
I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. I didn't know hot girls can be annoying too. Doesn't she knows it'll be a sore spot for me . Of course I know he'd still be chasing her, that bastard didn't even bother checking up on me even once . It's obvious he doesn't give a fuck about me anymore. It doesn't take a genius to guess what he'd be doing in the meantime. But even if I know all this , it still didn't feel good to hear it directly from her , my supposed to be rival in love. She may really be looking out for me as she said but to me who has been cheated and abandaned so mercilessly, it feels like she's mocking me .
" Also don't you it's a little harsh judging me before you even get to know me ? I'm quite upset about that." She continued.
" I already know everything I need to . Now can you please keep quiet? I am already tired from all the unpacking. I just want some peace and quiet now which I can't seem to find with you running your mouth non-stop." I sighed tired of bickering with her . She just can't stop talking huh . It's already night time when the unpacking is over and it took a lot of my energy.I'll need a good night's sleep to restore all this energy.
" Fine! If you find me so disturbing, I'll leave you alone. I'll spend the night somewhere, you can lock the door ." She stood up and walked out of the door.
" Hey I don't mean it like that . You don't have to leave." I shouted after her but I guess she didn't hear it or perhaps she's pretending not too. I felt a little bad now. This is her room too and she was here first in top of that. Maybe I was too harsh? Whatever I'll just apologize later , it's not like I kicked her out anyway , she went on her own . I don't have to worry about her , she'll be fine right? . She's probably just going to sleep with one of her followers. I'll just sleep for now and worry about it later .
