Chapter 3: A Terrible Day to Be Alive
"Wait, a beyond skill!? Isn't that, like, the second strongest type of skill? Hell yeah! I'm set for life!"
"Now hold on a minute there, let's take a look at what your skill is-" The secretary stopped speaking very suddenly after glancing to his left to look at another scroll, and opened his eyes wider, pushing up his glasses again.
"What? What is it? Did I get a super overpowered skill? Are you so surprised because you've never seen a skill this strong?" Elios was interviewing the guy.
"AHAHAHHAHAHAHAA HOLY HELL THIS IS THE FUNNIEST SHIT I'VE EVER SEEN. YOU HAVE PROBABLY THE MOST USELESS SKILL EVER, QUITE LITERALLY. THIS HAS ZERO USES, OH POOR YOU." The secretary had an evil and maniacal grin while suddenly blurting all this out.
"Wait, what is it?" Elios asked, almost surprised he didn't get an OP skill like all protagonists.
"You got a skill called 'Automation'." The secretary motioned with his finger for Elios to come over to his desk and look at the scroll he was pointing at. The words "Automation" were written on the scroll, and magically, the ink started appearing below this with the word "Aspects" being written.

[Automate: This aspect allows the user to automate certain skills being used in a certain order or in a certain way. If effectively used, the user can make it so with one command many skill chains to make a big combo. Cost: 0]
[Automation loops: Allows the user to make automation loops using the aspect 'automate', where one automation task is repeated infinitely till the user is unable to do so or stops the loop. Cost: 0]
[Automatic defense: Allows the user to set up certain skills as responses to certain situations. Example: Automatically activate 'Water breathing' when underwater. Cost: 0]
[Skill Fusion: Allows the user to fuse multiple skills, creating a single skill with greater capabilities than both skills cumulatively. Cost: 3]
Both Elios and the Secretary read this.
"This seems like a very powerful skill if you ask me, why were you acting like it's terrible?" Elios asked, genuinely confused.
"You're stupid for thinking this is a good skill for you. Honestly, the skill is very useful and powerful taking the hassle of a lot of thinks away. But, this skill only works in conjunction with other skills. May I remind you, kind sir, this would be your only skill and maybe some racial skill so it'll be useless."
"Shit, I never thought of that. Either way, I'll become the strongest being in this universe, even stronger than you. I'll become a diety no matter what it takes, regardless of the fact I have to do it the hard way."
"Well, I'll be sending you off now. You've had your explanation of the world, and your skill, so good luck. Also, the skills you have along with their aspects are always remembered in your mind so don't worry about forgetting them."
In an instant, Elios had been transported somewhere. Hearing a loud dripping noise, he reaches to touch his face, only to find he's touching water.
"Am I underwater?" He thinks to himself, then suddenly, trying to emerge from under this water, his face pops out of this water. He was quite literally the water itself and instantaneously formed a face when trying to emerge from the water. Imagining himself getting out of the water completely, an entire body was synthesized essentially from scratch allowing him to actually get out of the water. He felt his hands, his face, his hair. He was back, and alive again.
Suddenly, a loud voice spoke in Elios' head.

[Destruction By Heat: User has a way lower tolerance to higher temperatures, allowing the user to be destroyed by it very quickly.]

"Wow, so you're telling me I can create water out of thin air with no way to use it because I don't even get thirsty? Wow, thanks world, always being SO kind to me! Why the fuck do I get destroyed by both Cold and Heat? Also, that Secretary guy didn't explain what the hell these 'Quils' or 'Attributes' are? Essence sounds pretty cool, but Water sounds so basic."
Elios in his newfound body looked around for a source of light. Interestingly enough, the water he was sitting in before had gone, and he was now sitting in what seems like a cave. The ground was rough, and he felt walls which also seemed rough.
"Ah, there it is! A light source! I see a small crack in this cave, maybe I can squeeze through or something?" Elios thought as many other thoughts ran through his mind.
Putting his hand in this small, baseball bat sized crack, he quickly realized he wouldn't fit.
"Now that I think about it, my body isn't the same size it used to be. From the looks of my height, I'd guess I'm around teen sized, but who knows. My hair feels short, and I can't quite see what color it is in this darkness. Either way, I gotta find a way to open this crack. Maybe I can use one of my skills?"
Elios felt around this hole in the cave with his hand as he thought about what he would do about this. Thinking about the skills he had at his disposal, an idea popped into his mind. Elios, in the darkness, walked around the perimeter of the cave while keeping his hand on the wall. Using the hole as a point of reference, he was able to discover the cave was very very small. Maybe the size of a couple cars? Elios could feel the cieling, so he knew it didn't go high either.
Elios picked up a couple of large rocks on the ground sizably larger than the hole and wedged them in place so they wouldn't move. He had effectively plugged the hole, and these rocks were definitely not able to be pushed out through the hole.
"Activate skill Automation, aspect automation loops." Using this skill as if it was second nature, he made an automation loop that made him repeatedly use his hydrosynthesis skill automatically.
"Now if this works out how I planned.." Having activated his automation loops aspect for his hydrosynthesis skill, water started pouring out of his hand at a rate faster than any industrial hose could. It's as if 10 or more buckets of water was constantly being poured out every second.
In a few seconds, the water was too much for the now sealed cave to contain and the cave burst open with water. Now that there was a hole large enough for atleast 4 people to enter at the same time, water started pouring out, and Elios walked out of this hole.
"Automation loop, stop" Elios thought. He realized very quickly that you didn't need to say the skill name out loud, just think what you wanted to do with your skills and they would happen, similar to moving your arms or legs when and where you want to.
"Before I was complaining about getting that hydrosynthesis skill, but now I'm glad because I won't be stuck in that cave my entire life similar to how I stayed in my room in my entire last life." Elios muttered to himself with a sigh of embarassment for how he acted and what he did in his last life.
"No matter, I'm getting a second chance and I'm gonna live this one to the fullest! I'll even become the strongest being alive, so there's also that to look forward to." Elios said with an evil smirk.
"Now that I think about it, I appear to be on the bottom side of a mountain. I'm in a forrest area, but there don't appear to be any nearby civilizations. I'll have to look around."
"HOLY SHIT I'M NAKED OH MY GOD" Elios screamed out loud before running to a bush.
"Oh, nevermind, I'm not naked. I thought I would be naked cause I was just born and everything, but I guess hydrophee are born in a different way than humans so maybe that's why I have clothes?"
Elios was wearing very comfortable blue shorts and a blue shirt, but they didn't have any designs. Just basic, high quality and comfortable fabric.
"Well, time to look for civilization because I'm not gonna be a loner like I was in my last life." Elios said while walking away from the bush he ran to in fear.
