Chapter 48: Shared Secrets, House of Horrors

Alex left the stone tunnels and followed the directions provided by Joseph, who, for some reason, was in the middle of the forest.

Why was he there? Alex had no idea, but he followed the directions nonetheless.

There was a road leading there. It looked abandoned, and the dense trees and foliage around the road made it even more scary.

As Alex walked along the eerie road, he couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. The silence was deafening, broken only by the occasional rustling of leaves or distant hoot of an owl.

But there was nothing there; at least it did not look like it. Alex was a vampire, and despite the trees covering most of the sunlight, making the place dark, he could see it as clear as day.

The more Alex walked, the more deserted the place looked. He saw no reason for a player to be there.

'What is Joseph even doing here?'
