Chapter 28: Return to The Apartment

Jane looked at Erza after David disappeared from her sight.

Before she spoke, Erza spoke first.

"Jane, I really don't understand you, from beginning to end. I wonder if there's a scheme in your heart. Isn't it strange that a Jane would date a man with an ordinary background and then give everything to him? I feel like there is a big scheme here," she said, shaking her wavy red hair.

"You're overthinking because you live in an environment where everyone only thinks of their own ambitions. Erza, as a human, having love is natural," Jane replied calmly, seemingly unconcerned with Erza's speculations.

"Is that so?" The latter tilted her head slightly, looking into Jane's eyes as if trying to see her thoughts.

"I don't need your trust, you can think whatever you want, but I definitely won't stay silent if you try to influence David's mind as if I have certain schemes."
