CHAPTER 3: ANCIENT DRAGON!

On the first class of the first day, the homeroom teacher, Xue Musheng, gave all the magic students one very important lesson: the activation of Magic!
The activation of Magic consisted of only Four very simple steps:
Step 1- Meditation
Step 2- Control
Step 3- Activation
Step 4-Cultivation
Meditation, just as the name implied, required one to use their fullest attention to concentrate and focus on the Stardust.
When a person closed their eyes, their mind constantly wandered into different scenes.
However, if one were to empty one's mind and remain in an undisturbed state, one's mind would become an empty space!
After their magic awakening, a star cluster corresponding to the Element would emerge within that empty world.
For any magic students who had awakened, as long as they could cause the star cluster to appear within the empty space, and see the bright, child-like stars within the cluster, then they would have completed the first step of Meditation. It basically increases their Magic Stamina (Mana) for further cultivation process.
Control was the Second step of Magic Activation… It meant they had to use their own thoughts to control these stars, making them stop, and align them into a designated spot to form a Star Orbit.
Once they had successfully formed the Star Orbit, the Magic Power would be conducted through the Star Orbit into the Mage's body, thus becoming genuine Magic as they activate it!
The fourth step was Cultivation (Aka Second step of Meditation) was to focus the Magic Stamina (Aka mana of the mage) on the Star Dust and continuously nourish it with Mana and Increase the Star Dust's level. This was basically the step after they have controlled all 7stars and reached the 1st level of Basic Magic. But this step can also be used by people who have not released their magic yet, but it was extremely difficult and nigh impossible for them as they don't have enough Mana.
That's why Meditation is necessary for further cultivation.
One could even say that the first step was unexpectedly simple. But the fourth step was difficult, because mages who have just begun cultivating have very low amount of Magic Stamina (mana).
So, the homework assigned to the students for the first two months was to only meditate till the first step Meditation and get familiar with the stars and they can only practice Control once their Star Dust becomes double the current size.

The first day of school was over and Mo Fan arrived at his allocated room inside dorms.
He threw the backpack and left immediately.
He ran and arrived at the nearby park. It was 5'o clock in the evening, there were still kids playing in the park.
Mo Fan picked up a wooden stick fallen on the ground and made a big enough magic circle formation so that he could sit inside it! He bit his thumb and dropped a drop of blood in the centre of the formation.
As soon as the drop of blood touched the formation it glowed in blue light!
After that, he sat down in the centre of it and started his meditation. Soon enough blue coloured illusory dust started gathering towards him from the surrounding!
Yup.
This was possible because of his magic formation! It was a magic formation for gathering of the surrounding mana into it, so that he could boost his cultivation!
Now he had to look after 4 elements, so he needed a lot of resources from the get-go itself!
He focused on his Summon element first, if he had an awesome summon at the start then it would really make his fights a lot easier!

4 hours later!
It was 9'o clock and dark outside, it was long past his curfew of the dorm. He slowly opened his eyes.
"I suppose if you had this much mana, cultivation becomes super easy even without any external help."
Mo Fan had already gained enough mana for his summon element to cast it three times!
And he still had a hoard of mana in the surrounding!
Basically, he had gathered all the mana he possibly could from 1km radius with the magic formation and the mana gathered was simply a lot.
"Well then~ Space Element you're next~"
Just like that Mo Fan cultivated the space element next!

Two Month Passed~
The summer was in the process of becoming autumn. The leaves of Trees which were green had turned yellow and were falling slowly. The dead leaves whirled along with the wind, as they finally landed on the school grounds.
On the mountain grounds behind the school was a dense shade of trees. The afternoon sunlight shone through a gap in the leaves, turning into threads of light.
For Mo Fan, the time passed by very quickly. It had already been two months since his awakening.
Within these two months, a lot of things have happened with Mo Fan. His Space, Summon, Fire and Lightning element had enough Mana to cast Tier 3 Spells for 2 times!
Controlling the stars for the former Magic Creator God Mo Fan was also no big deal.
He had reached the First Level for Space, Summon, Fire and Lightning Element.
Right now, he was practicing his control and increasing his mental strength by casting Telekinesis, the first-tier spell of space element.
His mental strength was at 0.6 level currently.
He could lift basic and small things, but stuff like huge boulders and all, needed mental strength of at least Level 2.
He had basically didn't touched his summon element because there was simply no use since he was not even at level 1 of mental strength yet!
If he used the summoning gate now, he would basically pull-out trash tier Summon!
Right now, he was training his will!
The small boulder in front of him was his training partner!
"Ok!"
Mo Fan stood up and faced the boulder,
"Telekinesis!"
He connected the Silver stars of the space element within an instant and extended his hand forward towards the boulder!
His eyes glowed with a mysterious silver glow!
DRRR!!!
DRRR!!!
The huge boulder slowly started to shake and Mo Fan's extended arm was trembling furiously as well.
"Ugh… C'mon… Move!" Mo Fan shouted!
The huge boulder suddenly moved forward a little, around 2cm.
*Pant Pant*
Mo Fan's body limply fell down as he gasped for air in exhaustion!
"YES!" Mo Fan punched the air in front of him in excitement!
His mental strength increased a little bit! It was now at 0.7 level.
"If I keep doing this it might improve till 0.9 level at most… I need a life-threatening motivation, otherwise I will never breakthrough the lv.1 barrier…"
"Sigh… forget it for now lets raise it to Lv0.9 first."
Mo Fan got back up and used telekinesis again.

Another two months passed by,
It was now November! Five months had gone by since his awakening!
Mo Fan's Mental strength was now officially at Lv.1 but it had not levelled up for over a month, no matter how much he played with the boulder!
He was able to lift it 10m into the air! But yeah, that was it…
His cultivation had also not improved much and hit the bottleneck in all 4 of his elements and not moving forward a bit!
"Sigh… I guess without any stimulant and little loach's help this is as far as I can go at this level! I need to collect the holy springs and other milk powders for my pendant to grow and help me reach the top again!"
"But even if I know where the holy springs and other resources are… it's no use because, the strength I have right now is simply pitiful…"
"I will just get myself killed miserably if I try to obtain any of the resources to feed my loach..."
It was true, Mo Fan's current self was too weak to accomplish anything and 5 months have gone by, but his strength had not increased much.
Because no matter how much he cultivated, at most he was only able to cultivate for 4 hours before fainting, that was his limit without little loach right now.
But the others could only cultivate for 1 hour and compared to them Mo Fan had to cultivate 4 elements!
"I guess I need to hunt Monsters to breakthrough my bottleneck! I suppose it's about time I used my summoning element to summon my first dimensional summon! I can't wait any longer and drag this on!"
Mo Fan sat in a meditative pose and recovered his mental will.
After five minutes he was at full strength!
He stood up and connected the stars for summon element within an instant like a pro.
"Dimensional summoning!"
The Summoning Stardust appeared to be transparent, with an occasional moonlight radiance circulating around it. After Mo Fan placed the stars in the interior into an array, the moonlight radiance became increasingly distinct. When seven of the stars were connecting to each other, it looked like a crescent moon.
After the Star Trail appeared, it circled around Mo Fan's body. It looked like the bound radiance of the moon as it slowly ripped open a tunnel leading toward a different plane in the sky.
Mo Fan opened his eyes. They displayed a vast depth as he stood there, his spirit seemed like it had travelled to a different, mysterious plane.
A moon-coloured dimensional door was located at the end of a black tunnel. Mo Fan felt as though he had instantly bumped into an incredible Garden of Immortal Peaches through a narrow, pitch black cavern. A completely new continent had emerged in front of him.
It was like a mirage, as what seemed to be right in front of his eyes was actually relatively far away. Like a dream, he felt like a god as he quietly watched the scenery of the dream.
His consciousness left the earth and before he knew it, he was in the summon plane!
Mo Fan was also very clear that the amount of time his will could remain in this Summoning Plane was very limited. If he didn't quickly lock onto a creature that he wanted to summon, then this summoning would be considered a fail.
As he willed his intent to move, Mo Fan could feel himself flying past the new dreamland.
Lush green lands as far as an eye can see~
Huge mountains in the distance, clear blue sky filled with fresh and invigorating air!
Unknown Monster herd galloping in the distance!
For a while, Mo Fan didn't move and just stood in the middle of the sky with eyes closed as he just felt extreme nostalgia about all this.
"This is the world which I'm familiar with!" he said with a grin!
The Kingdom of Beasts!
The place Mo Fan was currently at!
"Let's start!"
Mo Fan moved through the beast kingdom at light speed, scanning the area to see the suitable monster!
Since he was not in his physical form right now, all of this was akin to a dream to him, that's why he was able to move as he liked!
"Hmm~~ should I look for Wolfie? Nah... I need to find a summon with a huge potential, like Flame Belle! This time I don't want to spend time and money, on a summon which won't be of much help to me later on!"
Mo Fan was rather disappointed in old wolf, because before time leaping his old wolf died a miserable death in the fight against a kraken king while reclaiming Shanghai from the Ocean Monsters!
Because of this his own soul which had huge power of the seven soul mountains received damage when he was fighting Ocean Undeath Empress, because of this he was ganged banged by the emperors as they were waiting for an opening to deal a life threatening attack to him.
And if that wasn't the worst, they miserably lost the battle to reclaim Shanghai...
And after Old Wolf's death all of his wolf army just scattered and left regardless of his magic medium bracelet!
"Sigh... But i think part of it was my fault... If only I made an effort to find a nice soul and lineage for Old Wolf to grow, then the end result wouldn't have ended up the way it did..."
"Forget it, Let's search for an elemental being in lightning element like my Lightning Bishop!"
Mo Fan connected the lightning element's stars and fused them with the summon element!
He opened a portal to the Land of Spirits and jumped into it!
After a Moment of blackness, he arrived at the land of Lightning spirits!
Purple Lightning was flashing all over the world!
The clouds were dark! The land was dry!
There was not a single trace of the lush greenery he saw before, but only a burnt smell and strong presence of Lightning element!
"I should be able to find a decent summon here, but spirits are being of high standards and they definitely won't submit to a human like myself no matter what... I guess I'll have to steal an egg! That's what I basically did with flame belle too in a way..."
Mo Fan in his soul form flew across the place, he saw many humanoid and animal spirits, even they sensed his presence but simply ignored him! They treated Mo Fan as if he was an Ant...
"Ugh... These bastards" Mo Fan cussed while flipping them off!
He had once summoned a flaming howl wolf spirit in his demon form while fighting against the Scorpion lord Medusa from the land of spirits, but at that time he was a demon, and the spirits were extremely obedient because of Flame Belle to monitor it.
But now... Sigh...

Another month passed by and it was time for winter holidays~
The weather turned cold, the short skirts and stockings were replaced with thick leggings and pants. Unknowingly, the season where you turn into a dog if you don't own a heater had finally come to the south.
The class started at eight in the morning, and the first class was the "Magical Beast Knowledge" class. The one in charge of teaching the "Magical Beast" subject was the homeroom teacher of the class next door, Zhang Jianguo.
"Mo Fan, you are late again. Can't you improve your attitude toward school? "How dare you, Brat! Go and stand outside! I will see how you pass your midterms in my subject!" Zhang Jianguo literally flipped out on Mo Fan!
Mo Fan didn't argue with him and went outside the class just as he came in. He didn't stood outside he had already left Corridor.
"Hahaha! Teacher, forget about that waste and please teach us, as we actually want to do something with our future!" Zhao Kunsan didn't let go of this opportunity to score points with the teacher.
"Just look at him... He's literally a bad influence on class 8."
"Because of people like him our class' reputation has hit the rock bottom!"
The class immediately joined the bandwagon and insulted Mo Fan.
Mu Bai was sitting at the first bench and was gloating over the situation.
It had been 6 months since the awakening and that waste hadn't controlled a single star! While I have control over 5 stars!
"Alright, please open the Magical Beast book. Today, I will continue to talk about the common Magical Beasts. As everyone knows, the Magical Beasts are located outside of the city, which we humans reside in, and they are extremely hostile towards humans. They wander all over the place and fight when they encounter each other, as well. If a Magician was to tread outside of the city and encounter a One-Eyed Magic Wolf, then what should he do?" Zhang Jianguo already started talking about this subject with a great delight.
One-Eyed Magic Wolf…
This was the kind of Magical Beast that resided in the area closest to the human city. The students had only seen one through the textbooks and videos; they had a vicious appearance.
A normal person was unable to deal with this kind of creature. Only a Mage was able to battle them. However, if the group of Magic Students, who couldn't activate their magic, was to meet a One-Eyed Magic Wolf, then it'd be a bloody massacre.
The One-Eyed Magic Wolf was the highlight of the Magical Beast classes. Zhang Jianguo had already spent a month talking about this type of Magical Beast, which by this point, annoyed pretty much everyone in the class.

Mo Fan was in the cafeteria right now. He had ordered for spicy stir-fry noodles and bought coke from the vending machine.
He sat down on an empty table and quietly ate his food...
For whole past month, he tried his damned best to find a summon with a nice bloodline, but he couldn't find one...
Even if he found a nice summon, it was too proud to submit to Mo Fan. He was having a headache right now.
"I think I should give up on finding adult spirits and focus on infant ones... I have a higher chance of tricking them into a contract!" Mo Fan said as he was winding his fork inside the noodles.
"But I still feel guilty about separating them from their parents so early on. My conscious won't allow me to do that! And besides young spirits are far more moody then an adult one!"
"Even if I successfully made a contract, it's not like it will listen to me... Should I just go and make a contract with Wolfie?"
Truth be told Mo Fan did went and searched for his old wolf, and surprisingly enough, he found it!
Right now he was hesitating whether to make the contract with it or not...
"Let's search one last time and then move on... Oh right! Let's make use of that magic formation!"
He quickly ate his food and went to the mountain behind the school!
He made a crescent magic circle which resembled a moon!
"If I can't make a contract with anyone, I'll just steal some stuff from them before leaving!" Mo Fan said as he smirked cunningly~
The moment he dropped his blood, the crescent magic circle glowed in a moonlight glow and attached itself to Mo Fan's chest!
This formation was an original spell made by Mo Fan! What it did was bring some stuff from the summon plane to his plane permanently!
It was a spell which disobeyed the laws of dimension. That's why it was a taboo spell which only he knew!
He casted the Dimensional summoning and dived into the summoning plane again!

"Huh?"
Just as Mo Fan arrived, he noticed that all the spirits were running away from the mountain they resided in. Not only that but the presence of Lightning Element was extremely dense!
"What is happening her—"
BOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!
DRRRRR!!!!!!!!
Just as he was about to finish his sentence, a bolt of lightning as thick as 1000m descended on the peak of the mountain!
The sight was absolutely horrifying! The entire mountain range got engulfed by the heavenly lightning tribulation! All the fleeing spirits made from lightning element got vaporized in front of him!
The energy of Lightning was so dense that even spirits made from lightning died...
The entire mountain was baptized by the Lightning tribulation! It was Mo Fan's first time seeing a lightning this pure and strong in his whole life!
Even the Lightning Bishop who was only one step away from becoming an Emperor level being didn't possess this type of lightning.
"This... I know this... An Elemental Royalty is being born!" Mo Fan of all people cannot possibly not know what was happening there, considering the flashy spectacle.
It was because he himself had experienced it once before! During the birth of his daughter, Flame Belle! The one true Elemental Royalty of Fire Element!
Mo Fan couldn't believe what he was seeing! He had almost given up on contracting to a lightning spirit, but the heavens literally sent him the gift made by the world!
"Right Now, it still might just be a fruit! But why I don't see any Lightning Belle's guarding it, where are they?" Mo Fan questioned himself and started searching for adult lightning Belle species but he couldn't find them no matter where he looked
"Shit!"
He saw a ruler level wolf Lightning spirit making its way towards the Star Tree, where the fruit grew.
He quickly followed behind it, but the wolf was just too fast!
It ignored all the wonderful soul seeds that were lying around because of the Lightning Calamity, and went straight towards the fruit with an extremely greedy expression painted on its face!
"Damn it! So this is what happened to the Elemental Royalties if they don't have anyone guarding them during their birth!"
He felt nothing but sadness for them, and also faint feeling of fury was visible in his eyes.
"I see now! No wonder it became a ruler level species while being of such trashy birth. It kept eating the infant being born here!" Just when Mo Fan deduced, he noticed another wave of the destructive tribulation descending upon the land.
But strangely enough that cunning wolf had already known about it's pattern, it quickly tried to hide inside a huge cave.
But Mo Fan was also cunning! He quickly made a rope using his will and put it on its head and bound him!
It was quite easy for the wolf to tear apart the rope made by current Mo Fan!
It glared aggressively in Mo Fan's direction and bit the rope apart in a second! But that second was all Mo Fan needed to stall it!
"Haha! Dumbass, You fell it!" Mo Fan flipped it off.
The destructive and violent Thunder came crashing down from the heavens and fell on the sinful earth punishing it for it's sins, but just when it was about to hit Mo Fan, he had left the plane, but the wolf... It was vaporised in an instant because of the delay in a second created by Mo Fan!
The lightning wolf got it's divine retribution and died! Even it's soul was destroyed.
...
"Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" Mo Fan screamed out in agony!
A passer-by looked at Mo Fan sitting on the Park bench in worry! But they didn't approached him.
*Pant* *Pant*
He gasped for air! He could literally feel the lightning calamity on his body. Not only that, but his soul also suffered substantial amount of damage while being rejected by the ruler level spirit.
He was in a very weak state, he opened a small portal and quickly looked through it to see what happened inside the summon plane.
Luckily after seeing the ruler level Lightning Wolf spirit get vaporized, none of the other spirits dared to enter the mountain.
He heaved a sigh of relief and fell asleep on the bench.

The Lightning Calamity will last for a few more days. Until it is absorbed by the Lightning Calamity fruit completely, Mo Fan could do nothing but wait!
It had been five days since the lightning calamity started.
In the meantime, he was going and collecting all the lightning elemental resources he could keep in his space pocket which was as huge as only 1sqm.
He could only use the summon element's forbidden spell once per day, as it cost him basically 75% of his total mana!
But, he had accumulated a lot of resources over these past 5 days, like lightning element fundamental crystals, soul seeds pieces, Soul seeds! All of these were of extremely high quality stuff with no hint of impurities in them!
Mo Fan had stashed them under the floor board of his dorm room which was situated at the ground floor, by making a making Magic Formation and preventing the energies from leaking outside!
He was hoarding 15 Spirit Grade seeds, 8 Soul Grade Seeds, over 5000 soul seed Pieces of high grade Lightning element and 105 Pure Lightning Fundamental Crystals!
He was super lucky in his harvest, because all the other spirits had noticed what happened with the Wolf Spirit when it was hit by the Lightning tribulation! So, they did not dare go near the mountain while the lightning calamity fell!
They were waiting for the harvest after the calamity waves were over, but little did they knew that Mo Fan was already emptying out the mountain!
He camped like a camper waiting until the calamity fell and when the moment was right, he dived in and robbed the gold that was provided to him on a silver platter!
But even for doing this, there was a limit because of his mana! So there was still a shit ton of loot left in the mountain.
He only collected the most important stuff like the Soul Seeds and Fundamental Crystals.
The spawning of Soul seeds was not frequent under normal conditions, after all it was basically a gift from the nature itself!
But now because of the Lightning Calamity, they were spawning left and right!
Mo Fan's aim was still the Lightning Calamity fruit which will be hatching soon now.
...
The Lightning Calamity lasts for only 10days just like the Fire Calamity!
It was the last day for the lightning tribulation to fall on the ground, but the Calamity became weaker and weaker after the 6th wave, and the spawning of Soul seeds became less and less... The other stronger creatures who were able to handle the intensity of the calamity in the outer edges were already invading the territory!
Mo Fan had gotten sufficient harvest from this place. He was contented with it. Now he was waiting for the fruit to hatch!
He was waiting in front of the tree and looking at the fruit with expectation.
"Hehe~ hurry up and hatch already little baby~" Mo Fan gently patted the fruit on the tree.
The fruit could also feel Mo Fan's touch and recognised it as it's parent!
The Infant royalty spirit would move inside the shell whenever Mo Fan spoke to it.
WUUUUOOOOOOONNNNN!!!!!!!
A dangerous scream resounded throughout the whole Mountain!
The whole Mountain trembled vigorously because of the terrifying scream!
Mo Fan was startled! He looked at the direction the roar came from and noticed a huge... An incredibly huge creature was flying towards him at an unbelievable speed!
Mo Fan was terrified seeing the creature which resembled an... "ANCIENT DRAGON!!"
That creature was an ancient dragon! A being far stronger than Mo Fan even when he was at his peak!
"Fuck Fuck Fuck!! The Lightning Calamity must've attracted it!" Mo Fan cursed!
All the spirits ran away and left the mountain's vicinity!
"Shit! I wanted to wait, until it hatched to form a contract with it, so that once it grew stronger, it could build it's own army from this place, but now it will just be eaten if I leave it here... Tch, come with me!"
Mo Fan tore the calamity fruit from the tree and put it inside his space pocket.
While he was doing this, the terrifying ancient dragon already reached within 10km radius of Mo Fan!
It raised its huge claw, which shrouded the entire mountain range and cast a huge dark shadow over it!
Mo Fan without looking up, immediately left the place and vanished from the plane, and a split second later the huge claw fell!
The whole Mountain was squashed and flattened like a bug into oblivion.
Unfortunately, The Lightning Calamity fruit was not able to absorb the last and the strongest Lightning Calamity wave, as the whole Mountain was destroyed into oblivion.
...
Mo Fan who's spirit travelled through the space and dimension saw the whole thing went down!
The impact was so huge that it came through the Space tunnel Mo Fan created while traversing and knocked the real him who was sitting in a meditative pose on the mountain behind the school flying!
"Kurghhh!" Mo Fan banged against a 5m tall tree so hard that he knocked it over! He spat out a mouth-full of blood and broke a lot of bones!
"Urgh!! My arm!" Mo Fan's right hand was twisted in a really weird angle, it was completely broken!
His ribs were also cracked and his spirit received a lot of damage!
He couldn't even lose his consciousness because his spirit was damaged beyond recognition!
But even while being in this fucked up situation, he removed the Lightning Calamity fruit and checked it's condition.
"Thank... God... You're okay..." After confirming that the fruit was okay and not damaged he finally lost his consciousness.
...
Ming~ Ming!
The little life inside the fruit cried out for Mo Fan, as it sensed his life conditions were in a critical state!
But it was not able to do anything as it still didn't hatched yet!
