--Next next day--
--School--
When I entered the room, one of my classmates blocked my path.
"Hey dude! Why didn't you say anything yesterday that you were bullied? Are you even okay with going to school?" he said with worry in his voice. He is our class president, a really responsible guy and energetic at that.
At this point, many of my classmates who are concerned about my well-being crowded me in the entrance.
When I came back to our classroom after being beaten, my classmates didn't really notice anything about it since those guys avoided my face when they were hitting me. So my classmates probably just learned about it earlier.
Scratching the back of my head, I replied to him, "I apologize for that. I just don't want to worry you guys."
"Just don't do that again dude. You're making us feel bad. Anyways, those guys were suspended for a week. Unfortunately for them, they got caught on CCTV. Deserve, hahaha."
"I see, I just hope they learned from this. Don't worry guys, I'm okay now." I reassured them.
That's one of the reasons I didn't do anything. Those guys didn't even think about being monitored. Well, it could also be that they are after the suspension so that they don't need to go to school. Regardless, I don't care about their intentions.
Another reason is people's opinion. Even just for once, if I lifted my fist, my image will forever be ruined. My image of being a perfect student and a son. The image I worked so hard to preserve -- incapable of violence, not a hint of evil in any form or in any way in my very being, a definition of saint in the modern world I might say.
That's why everytime I enter the school premises, from the guards to the teachers to my classmates, they will always greet me and ask about my day.
Sitting on my chair near the window at the back of the classroom while my arms are propped on my desk, I scroll down on my phone. I'm currently reading the first volume of the light novel of Overlord. It's my first time reading it after watching the 2nd season of the anime. A good ride so far.
While minding my own business, I heards some of my classmates talking about those bullies. They look shocked for some reason while looking on their phone.
"No way."
"Maybe that's their karma."
"Now I'm afraid to go out on my own."
It turns out that on the news, the leader of the bullies who hit me was now in a coma and his lackeys are also in a bad state.
According to the testimony of one of the lackeys who managed to escape and avoid getting badly injured, after yesterday's class their group decided to go to an arcade. After a couple of hours of having fun they got out of the place. On their way, they encountered some gangsters -- dropped-out, addict students -- on the street at night and one of their guys bumped into one of the gangsters.
The rest is history, they were beaten with wooden baseball bats with nails on it without remorse. Fortunately for them, a bystander saw and reported it to the police, successfully catching the culprits.

--Flash Back [The day of being beaten] --
--House--
I got on the chair and opened the laptop on my desk. Opening the browser, I went to our school's social media page. We just got our class picture last month so I'm sure the school already posted all of it on the page.
"I see," I said while looking at the picture in front of me.
What I'm looking at is the class picture of the guys earlier. They are all in the same class, very nice.
Seems like my first assumption was right. They are upperclassmen which means that their dismissal should be after an hour from now -- 3:40pm to be exact.
I picked up my phone and went to my contacts. After scrolling for a couple of seconds, I called the number I was looking for. The phone rang for a bit and the other person finally took the call.
["What is it now?"] The voice was crooked, giving me the impression that he just woke up and was very tired.
"Hey, I sent you an email. Can you look it up?" I said in a friendly manner.
["And why should I listen to you huh? You're asking some kind of shit again. Why don't you do it yourself? You just need to disturb my sleep you piece of shit."]
Hearing his words, a thick vein popped on my forehead.
"Hey you little bitch, do you want me to pluck out your tongue and make you swallow it?"
[*thud**thud*]
His phone probably slipped from his hand and dropped on the ground.
["Ey, ey, ey. I wasn't on my right self just now."]
He paused and then continued, ["Anyways, just them? That's a piece of cake. But you know my guys are going to get caught, right?"]
"So what? Just make sure to finish the job tomorrow you son of a bitch."
I hung up the call without waiting for his response.
"Talking to this trash is really a not-so-pleasant feeling."
I took my glasses from my face and removed the contact lense from my right eye, showing my white and blind pupil.
I leaned back on the chair and looked at the ceiling. I couldn't help but smirk every time I reminisced about the past.
I have a very rare condition. Although one of my eyes cannot see anything at all since birth, my left one is quite special. My condition is called SRFR or super-resolution fovea receptor. The density of my photoreceptor cells are abnormally high which allows me to see 1846 megapixels instead of 576 megapixels like normal people do. It is the greatest contributor to all of my achievements in life.
I've always been the number one in everything that interests me.
Some, who are jealous, might say that it's because I carefully selected the things that don't pique the interest of many people, and thus, the competitions are not very fierce and competitive.
Well, they couldn't be any more right. Why would I waste my time on something that I know I don't have the slightest chance of excelling at?
But that's assuming that there is one -- one that will make me feel the despair of my lack of inherent talent. -- After all, I have eidetic memory, perfect mind-eye-body coordination and a hypersensitive muscle memory.
Unlike photographic memory though, I can only recall things accurately for a short period of time after seeing or experiencing it once. However, my control over my body compensates for that. I can basically imprint -- especially motor skills -- into my muscle memory easily just after a few tries.
That's why even though I have a naturally weak body, it doesn't concern me at all.
So, if one were to ask me which sports I'm more inclined to because my gifts seem to be more advantageous in skill related fields -- then... that would be Figure Skating for its finesse/beauty, and Muay Thai and other similar martial arts for its roughness/brutality.
