Chapter 17: The mission begins...
This is the first chapter of the week.

9:40 AM, Outside of Karan's house-
I closed the door behind me as I started moving towards the village entrance as fast as possible. I was late. It was my first mission and I was late to arrive at the location we had discussed about meeting at. I hurriedly closed the door as I started walking at the speed of a person running.
I soon arrived at the location where we had decided to meet to find out that all of my team was already there. I arrived next to Seiten as I looked at all of them.
"You are late. Were you buying this hoodie? that's why you are late?" Seiten asked looking at the new look his friend has gotten.
I was wearing the hoodie which had armor installed in them. I had brought this hoodie back from the smithy four days ago.
"You are looking good in them. Maybe, now you will have a girlfriend?" Mio said in a teasing tone as I just smiled at her.
"Alright, Now that you are here, I am going to do the mission briefing, So stop whatever you are doing and listen Closely." Sensei said looking as serious as he does on most missions. There was no signs of him showing anything that could show that this mission was special.
"The mission this time is to deliver a letter to a noble of Takigakure (Village hidden behind the waterfalls). but we first have to take that letter from someone in Kusagakure (Village hidden in the Grass). So, we would first head towards kusagakure (Grass village) and then towards takigakure (Waterfall village). Also, This mission is a high risk, C Rank mission. So, be careful as we might also encounter a chunin on this mission."
(A/N: I am confused on which language I should use when writhing village names. Japanese or English. So write your suggestion in the comments and I will pick one based on the majority vote. Also if no one comments until the next chapter, I will just use Japanese ones.)
The village of konoha, assigns every mission a particular Rank based on its difficulty namely: D Rank, C Rank B Rank, A Rank and S rank. They do that after checking information related to that particular mission but, there are times that the information they got was incorrect or some information was never found. And because of that, There was a higher chance for these missions to increase in Rank. These were high risk missions that had a higher chance of increasing in their difficult and by extinction, a higher risk of death.
Our mission this time was also a high risk mission that could increase its rank any time. But didn't Tsunade Senju knew about Sensei's situation? Then why would she give use a high risk mission? Is it because there are three chunins on this mission?
"Alright, let's go." Sensei's voice broke me out of my thoughts. As we all hurriedly moved behind sensei.
We were stopped at the konoha gates as we had to state the reason we were leaving the village but after that we moved out of the village and jumped up on the trees as we started traveling towards Kusagakure (Grass village).
We were all traveling by jumping from tree to tree and I was barely keeping up with them. In the Battle Simulation genjutsu, The genin puppet I was fighting with always moved around while fighting with me and in order to even reach him, I had to move around as well. In one of these fights, We moved up to trees as well and so I have some experience in moving on a tree but it was still a lot harder to travel while jumping from a tree to tree. I was still somehow managing to even do that though but I had to focus on the branch I was going to jump at.
-Inside the Hokage office-
"Um...Lady Tsunade, was it really okay to give a risky mission to Team Riku? There last risky mission was just there previous one and it didn't go too well...and now that the jounin Riku can't use one of his hands..." Shizune spoke while looking at Tsunade senju from behind.
Tsunade senju or The Fifth Hokage of Konohagakure was busy as always as she kept her focus on the papers on her desk. Shizune was standing a little behind her and there was no one else in the room.
"Um...Lady Tsunade?" Not getting a replay from Tsunade, Shizune called out to her again.
Tsunade was still doing her paperwork as she spoke-
"I heard you, Shizune. But you don't have to worry as I have not given Team Riku a high risk mission." Tsunade replied as she put down the pen in her hand. She leaned beck on her chair as she looked at the sealing of the Hokage office.
"What do you mean by that, Lady Tsunade?" Shizune asked seeing as her Lady Tsunade had no intentions of speaking up herself.
"...Do you know what, Shizune, Hope is really a bitchy feeling. It makes you fight the impossible, but it does that even after knowing that the thing you are fighting is impossible to beat."
Shizune was confused at where Tsunade was going with all this but remaind silent. As the Hokage and her Sensei, Tsunade had every right to say whatever she wanted so Shizune just kept listening.
"Riku's case...is also similar to this. He is trying to prove that he is not useless now and can still continue being ninja. He wants to prove that through this mission. That is also why he asked to go on a last mission."
"Then...Will you allow him to keep being a ninja, if he is able to complete this mission?"
"...We will see that after he returns from this mission."
"Hm...It shouldn't be that big of a problem for them to complete this mission now seeing as this is a low risk, C Rank mission." Shizune thoughtfully said, finally relived after knowing that team Riku is just on a normal C rank mission.
"Hm? low risk, C Rank mission? When did I say that it was a low risk, C rank mission?" Tsunade Senju said making Shizune confused again.
"Then what Rank is this mission?" Asked Shizune.
"A 'B' Ranked mission."
"...WHAT!!! Why would you give them a B Rank mission?"
"...To see his resolve."
"OMG...What should we do, Lady Tsunade?"
"Oh! Calm down, Shizune."
-Back with Karan-
I looked around to see Grass, All over us. We had moved out of the forest a while ago and now we were moving along a field of grass. We had already entered the land of Grass and had been moving towards the city where that noble resides in for a while. we soon arrived at a hill and as I looked ahead, I found a city in all its beauty. I looked at our sensei as he looked at all of us and smiled.
"It looks like we are already halfway there."
We soon arrived at the city as we started walking along its streets. Sensei was the one guiding us as he lead us towards an inn.
"We will eat first and then go and collect the letter we have to deliver." Sensei said as we just nodded and followed him around.
After eating, we again followed Sensei out of the inn and towards the place where we will get a letter to deliver.
It really didn't take too long as we soon arrived at a mansion that the noble whom we had to take the letter from, lived in. There were two guards at the entrance of the building. We walked up to them as Sensei started speaking.
"We are Konoha ninjas. Here for the mission that was requested by your lord." Sensei said as one of the guards nodded and said-
"I see, please, wait for a few minutes. I will inform my lord about your arrival!" The guard said as Sensei nodded. That guard then moved inside through the gates, leaving us waiting there with the other guard. But it didn't take too long for him to come back as he said after walking out of the mansion.
"Please, come inside. my lord is waiting for you." He said as he pointed towards his back where a maid was waiting with her head bowed.
"Please come this way!" She said as we started walking behind her.
'As expected from a noble!' Now, we were walking along the hallways of that mansion as I thought while looking at all the decorations that were done to that place. There were many things that caught my attention like a pot, a painting and some scripture, they all looked expensive. The windows that would come from time to time when we were walking all had the view of beautiful gardens and flower field. But the thing I was the most impressed with was how nicely everything came together. It all looked perfectly blended in like this is where they should go.
I was getting impressed with all of this and didn't even notice when we arrived at a gate. The maid knocked on it three time and then stopped and waited.
"Come in." A voice came from behind the doors as the maid slowly opened them and walked in while gesturing for us to follow her.
"Welcome, Konoha shinobies. I hope the journey from Konoha to here didn't cause too much of a problem?" The Noble asked from the sofa he was sitting on.
