Chapter 26: I Needed My Mommy

I tilted my head back and clenched my teeth. If I didn't open my mouth, I wouldn't puke. I had to keep my mouth closed.

Given the fact that I became unconscious due to the blow to my head, I could confirm a Grade 3 concussion. However, I wasn't experiencing any of the other side effects normally associated with it.

In fact, if it weren't for the loss of consciousness, I would have said that I sustained a Grade 2 concussion, complete with a persistent headache, confusion, nausea, and irritability. Then again, I might just be irritable because I was kidnapped, so that symptom may or may not be related to the concussion.

"You can stop pretending; no one here feels sorry for you," snapped Ye Mei Hui as she gripped my shoulders and started shaking me again.

The movement caused my determination not to puke to backfire, and I ended up throwing up all over the girl.
