It was almost evening, the sun had begun its descent towards the oceans and was now turning into an orange shade. The orangish rays reflected off the windows of the now-abandoned corporate buildings and the chilling silence of empty streets gave off a perfect representation of a dystopian society. At best, we had 4 hours before nightfall.
Personally, I'd prefer if the scenario arrived tomorrow. For some reason remembering the past always seemed to leave me with a mild headache. And I needed some sleep before I could start worrying about how the corrupt politician was going to betray me.I had barely slept the night before and to say that it was getting to me would be an understatement.
He had chosen to remain under me after the sub scenario completed. I glanced behind me. The corrupt politician and his two lackeys were having a merry time around a campfire they had started, their faces devoid of any worry, laughing as they made plans to capture the white flag hanging behind me like a ninja's katana.
Looking at them brought back a familiar sense of loneliness, being an outcast all my life made me long for such things. I dismissed that thought with a shrug. My eyes were getting heavier by the second with the scenery blurring in and out every other minute. I could feel myself drifting off to sleep.
A cold breeze hit my cheek, awakening me from my drowsy state and sending a slight shiver across my body. I was surprised it wasn't snowing already. I could really use a campfire right now. Maybe the guy whose name was too hard to pronounce knew how to start a fire. I placed my hand on his shoulder giving it a subtle shake.
"Wake up" I whispered.
"5 minutes more" He curled into a ball.
" Can't I skip school today?" he said in a half-sleepy childish voice.
Did I hit him hard enough to send him back to his school days?

A laugh escaped my mouth relaxing the tense muscles that had unknowingly gripped my forehead and I found myself confused as to which one of us was the entertainer and which the viewer. For the first time in a while, I found myself enjoying the moment. It felt like I could forget all about the scenarios and the dokkaebi. I silently wished for this moment to last as long as possible maybe this was what it felt like to have friends.
I suppose I could play along a little. I leaned forward positioning myself just above his ear and whispered.
"The bus leaves in 15 minutes, if you don't hurry you'll be late for school."
The curled ball stretched and turned his face away before curling up again, his back facing me, at this point he looked more stuffed toy than human. I had to approach this in a different manner, his character window said he was ex-military right? I tried to hide the evil smile climbing my face.

"WHO SAID YOU COULD SLEEP ON TRAINING PRIVATE" I shouted in my best army captain voice. I could feel the corrupt trios gazes on me but I was too ecstatic to care.
His military training kicked in as he jumped to his feet dumbfounded, reflexively his hands found his forehead forming a salute. It was as if you hear his heartbeat hitting the accelerator, he looked around scanning his surroundings perhaps looking for his superior officer who had issued the command but never found one.
I burst out laughing along with the constellations, looking at him now I felt a little bit sorry, took him a moment to realize what had happened and reached for his sword as soon as his senses returned, prepared to attack but a message interrupted his advance.
