Chapter 33: Perspectives.

"Come on, you can do it, relax your shoulder, inflate your chest, and extend your arm more," Grace explained to a Na'Vi boy, as he proceeded to follow Grace's advice.

The boy closed his eyes, his posture relaxing, and opening his eyes again, he released his arrow, which hit the target thirty yards away.

"Yes!" shouted the boy, raising his bow-holding arm and jumping for joy.

Smiling, Grace ruffled the infant's hair, then spoke to him; "You see, it's easy, you just have to trust yourself."

"Is that how you bonded with the Palulukan?" asked the child with stars in his eyes, looking expectantly at Grace.

The question took Grace by surprise, who lasted without answering for several seconds, then sat down on a nearby log.

"Well, I was terrified, I had hidden in some roots to escape him" she began to say, to which the child only nodded his head, wanting to hear more, "however, Eywa never abandoned me, she gave me strength and courage to face him, and well, I knew I had to do it or die".

"Sometimes circumstances push begins to do things they thought they could not do, for example, the Olo'eyktan, tamed his Thanator Fang to protect his friend, so you must act, with strength and tenacity knowing that Eywa is here" With that, Grace touched her finger to the boy's chest, "and here" she now pointed to the boy's hundred, "She will be for you always, for everyone in fact, don't forget that."

The boy nodded again several times, a smile gracing his face, "When I grow up I want to be like you, strong and powerful, and a Palulukan rider!"

"You will be, believe me, even much stronger than me" Grace commented with a loving look, gazing at her weakness.... Happy children.

After that, Grace stood up, urging the boy to do the same, "Come on, your lesson is not over."

Just as the boy was about to load his bow, a Na'Vi approached in a Thanator, in warrior's garb and a poncho made of leather and cloth, which had a symbol on it, which was a forest spirit, with its tendrils floating, surrounded by a circle.

"Protectors of the Olo'eyktan" whispered the boy, as his eyes widened in surprise and excitement.

And why not, if the Na'Vi in front of Grace was the apex in terms of skill, strength, agility, and training, something that surprised Grace when she first came to the tribe and, as she began to learn their hierarchy and order, which was very close to resembling a military hierarchy, Grace was amazed, for while she did not know many Na'Vi clans, from those she learned about, she knew that in no other clan did they practice many things as the Subaiya clan did, and one of those things was right in front of her, in the form of a Na'Vi.

The Na'Vi in front of her belonged to the group of Alphas, or protectors of the Olo'eyktan, a group of thirty members and, as the name implies, they were dedicated to protecting him, to be his guide, his closest confidants and his friends, who would dedicate their entire lives to that purpose, and once there was a new Olo'eyktan, the latter would have to have new members, who were chosen by the Tsahik.

These members would be chosen for their contribution to the clan, their power as warriors, that they were Thanator riders, and that they were no more than thirty years old since their initiation rite would be spoiled if they were older than that, which consisted of them, with the help of the Tsahik, ingesting the Su'tre fruit, giving them fantastic physical contributions, being the pinnacle of what a Na'Vi warrior would be. It was the wet dream of every aspiring young warrior, so the boy's reaction was justified.

The Na'Vi saluted by placing his right arm across his chest, an act that was followed by Grace and the boy, only for him to then turn to Grace; "Olo'eyktan has called you, warrior Grace, he awaits you in the common square."

"I will be there shortly" Grace replied, only to have the Na'Vi leave.

"Did you see that?" shouted the boy, turning his gaze to Grace, "That was great, I take it back, now I want to be like him, an alpha warrior" said the boy, puffing out his chest.

Grace could only shake her head in amusement, then said goodbye to the boy and walked in the direction of the commons, as she prepared herself for the talk she might have, since she had arrived, she had never spoken to Aleyx.

---------------

------------

Arriving at the place, Grace saw many members gathered, there were about two thousand Na'Vi, and all of them were warriors of the tribe, both men and women.

All were mounted on their mounts, some on Pa'Li, some on Thanator, some even had around them the beasts known as Txumre' (Slinth) and even the fearsome black beasts that chased her that day in the jungle.

As she got closer, she caught a glimpse of Aleyx and the Tsahik in the far distance, so she headed towards them.

As she arrived, she caught sight of some alphas around Aleyx and M'aora, albeit at a comfortable distance, who stared at her with their cold, emotionless stares, 'friendless people that they are' thought, Grace.

"Olo'eyktan" greeted Grace, bowing and resting her arm across her chest, as tradition dictates.

Aleyx, with his humble and welcoming face, accepted Grace's greeting, unfathomable to approach him, "sit with me Grace, we have things to discuss" said Aleyx, as his mother just looked on with her stern face.

"I called you to ask for your help, and before you deny it, I know you are a vessel" With that said, Grace felt a weight on her, making her look around, noticing that M'aora's frown had deepened.

"Olo'eyktan… I assure you I was going to tell you" Grace began to say, only to be stopped by Aleyx, who held up his hand.

"You need not fear, I don't care who you were, you are now a member of the clan, and the clan protects"

"The clan protects" repeated M'aora in her stall.

Aleyx proceeded to take the courses of the talk to what was important; "From what I know about you, is that you are a research doctor of sorts, I need that knowledge" At that, Grace was silent, how did he know that?

"Soon we will be going to the collector's base, the assembled warriors will learn the use of the sky people's weapons, but they will also learn human science and, although I know it may be an arduous task, I will need you to provide us with your knowledge."

Teaching

Grace was thoughtful, she had taught Na'Vi before, back in her school days, but she only taught basic math, English, and letters, not science as such, but she didn't let herself flinch at the idea, indeed, it excited her.

"My Olo'eyktan, I will do my best to see your vision fulfilled," Grace stated in a firm voice, making Aleyx smile.

New changes were coming.
