Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Hopeful Beginnings
This has to be the one and only Zecin! Would he want to be talking to someone like me?? I am confused as to why he wants to speak with me. Wait! He asked for my full name. I need to respond, but which name should I use? I use the name of the family who raised me.
"My name is Simon Hyru."
"Well Mr. Hyru, what is your affiliation with the outside continent?"
The outside continent? Is he talking about one of the other 6 continents? I mean I was born and raised here, I think at least after my mother abandoned me with my dad nowhere to be seen. My adoptive family was great but now dead because of Fredrik. To my knowledge there is no continent called the "outside"; it could also be code for something.
"I will take your silence as you don't know."
"I am sorry but I do not know what the outside continent is."
"Don't worry, as you may already recognize I am the one and only! Hero of the world! ZECINNNNNNN."
His build up was great I can't lie but it was just something about it that just felt cringe. But I am sitting in front of one of the strongest people in the world right now, someone who is ranked as a Guide.
"So Simon, you may be thinking why you are tied up here. Well I got the answer for you! You are now going to be under my teachings, plus you have something unique in you that's why I chose you specifically."
"That's great and all but why am I tied up?"
"Oh it was a safety percussion case you started to get aggressive once you woke up. Now you will be working with 6 other students, 4 of them are out on missions currently so you only be able to meet up with the other 2 in the morning. Get some rest, I will show you where you will be staying from now on."
Suddenly the metal chains around me burst and separated from each other. I feel my arms and stretch, it felt even better than any other stretch I have felt.What kind of technique does he have?? I heard from rumors that only people ranked as high as a Flare.
(Someone who is ranked as a Flare is someone in the top 100 people)
"Can you show me where I will be staying?"
"Oh of course! I forgot that you don't know where you are staying."
Seriously he forgot something like that and he is one of the people that is ranked the highest? Well he seems like a charismatic person so maybe he is hiding stuff up his sleeve.
Both of them leave the room while Zecin is joyfully marching out of the room. His knees are going all the way to chest height and swinging his arms up while humming to a lullaby, for some reason it sounds familiar.
"You know that lullaby don't you?"
"Wha- How did you know?"
"I have great intuition, you want to know something about the lullaby?"
"I mean sure."
"It comes from the outside continent."
That is the place he mentioned before, why is he so interested in that location? We have 7 continents run by the 7 family leaders leading each of the continents. What is so interesting about the place he calls the "outside" it could be something he could tell me about.
"So uh Mr. Zecin since there will always be a group of 7 will always be a group? Or will we be separated just like how 4 of them are on a mission."
"Well depending on how many missions we are giving there may be a chance you all are separated. I fully intend the team to work together."
Zecin stops at a door and throws me a set of keys to which they fell perfectly in my hands. Seriously what is his technique, I suck at catching items so it has to be him doing this.
"Take a rest, a maid will be here in the morning to bring you to the dining hall."
Zecin slowly walked away and opened the door to my own room. There was a tv, a lamp, a restroom with all the essentials, a bed and something on the bed. I walk over and there are new clothes: a white shirt, a black jacket with some neon purple highlights, black pants, and a new pair of shoes.
I look upon these new clothes and try them on looking down. They do not look too bad. I walk in the bathroom then at the mirror where I look at myself: a 16 year old, with purple hair, purple eyes in these new clothes. How did I get here?
I walk over to my bed and lay down. I sink into the bed losing myself in how comfy this bed is as I slowly fall asleep. After my encounter with Fredrik it felt great to relax to add on being tied up to a chair.
"It is time to wake up Simon"
I burst out of bed and see a maid staring at me. She had long dark blue hair with pink eyes as well as the maid outfit. She looked fairly beautiful but not my type.
"It is time for you to meet the 2 other members of the team."
I look at her very tired and throw the blanket over myself in an attempt to go back to sleep. Though she pulls the blanket right off me and hit me in my head.
"OW."
"WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE YOUR MAID OR SOMETHING?"
I look at her in confusion, is she not a maid? Why else would she be yelling like that?
"Are you not a maid? You have the outfit and everything"
"Wait I- I was just hired a week ago…"
"That makes sense but I need more sleep"
"Zecin's orders"
I let out a sigh and got out of bed, then the maid gave me a bow and took me to the dinning hall where Zecin jumped out to say hi. Where he took me to a guy with green hair and a girl with yellow hair. I take one step forward towards these two, this will be a chance to start my life over. Yes, THIS WILL BE MY NEW HOPEFUL JOURNEY.
