Chapter 33: ch 33 A wierd meeting
July 30, 1989 Sunday, Fleming residence 2:08 pm
"You really need to work on your penmanship, kid." Nick criticize my notes using quills. I'm currently jotting down the changes when I transform sands to glass without going through the muggle process of heating it up.
"You're one to talk,old man!" I rebutted with, "Aunt Penny said she was the one who had to 'translate' your notes regarding alchemy so that the publishers were able to read it."
*cough* Nick was going to defend himself when we hear the front door opened. We hear several footsteps came in.
"Nick! Marshall! We have company." Penny called out. I know she's more social than her husband. She begun befriending some local magical families around Devon. She's using thier Fleming alias of course.
Nick and I stopped our banter and quickly made our way to the living room. When I saw who our visitors were, I exclaimed silently, 'Sh*t!'
I see seven people with Penny. Three of them have dirty blonde hair and the other four have red hairs. It was the Lovegoods, the Weasley couple with two of thier kids, Ron and Ginny.
I kept my cool and try to control my breathing. 'I wasn't planning on meeting them before the canon. I might be 'force' to accompany Ron on the train to Hogwarts.'
I made my way to them. The tall dirty blonde man saw me and said, "Arthur, you never told me that Ronald had a long lost twin."
'Excuse me!' I feel offended by that comment. I don't have freckles and my red hair is very shiny. Plus I'm way more handsome than that guy. But I immediately thought of a diabolical plan.
I made my way to Arthur and hugged the guy and said, "Dad! Will you finally take me home?!"
There is an awkward silence in the room. From the corner of my eyes, I could see the dumbfounded expression of Molly, Ron and Ginny.
"Oh? That's great Ginny. We have another one to ride around with." It was the very cute Luna who broke the silence.
*toink!* It was Penny who hit my head and yank me off from Arthur. She apologize, "Sorry about him, Molly. This is Marshall. The one who I told you about. He's a bit of a prankster you see."
"Hehehe""Hahaha" The Lovegood couple could not stop thier laughter. When I saw them, I finally remember that the wife, Pandora, is destined to die while experimenting with a spell. 'Should I say something?'
When we sat down in the living room. The adults were together while having tea and biscuits. I can see Nick had his constipated look. He really don't like to interact with other wizards.
I'm with the kids, showing them the parrot, Pedro. I was finally able to befriend the dumb bird after a few bites and scratches.
Ginny and Luna kept touching my hair. I was annoyed at first but just surrendered to the two. Ron is giving me a grinning smirk as if saying, 'Its your turn now,buddy.'
When I saw his face, I really want to punch the guy.
"Marshall, how old are you?" Asked by the ever curious Luna.
"I'm 9 this year. Why?" I replied.
Ginny was the one who reacted, "Oh! Then you're the same age as Ron. You will probably go to Hogwarts on the same year as him."
'Oh com'on. I'm trying to avoid the topic. Look at the damn parrot, kids' I kept my thoughts to my self and said, "Hogwarts? Oh the school for young wizards. I heard Nick called it a sex dungeon."
The adults became quite when they heard that. They all look at Nick with raised brows. Penny apologized again *cough* "Sorry, my husband is a bit bias as a graduate of Beauxbatons."
Nick just stared at me as if saying, 'Just you wait,Kid!'
"What's a sex dungeon?" Luna innocently asked.
*pweee* Xenophilius spill his tea when he heard that. *cough*cough * "My girl, you shouldn't talk about adult matters. Ouch!"
It was then that Pandora pinched his waist and gave him a look. She whisper, "You shouldn't say that. She'll be more curious when you give vague explanations."
Xeno replied to his wife, "Would you be able to explain it to her then?"
It was Molly who tried to start a new topic, "Marshall, where are your parents, Dear."
I gave my best acting performance and said, "They're not with me anymore, Ma'am. I only live with my Nana. She's a squib. That's why I'm very thankful for aunt Penny and uncle Nick for teaching me about Magic."
"Oh, sorry about that, Dear." Then she stood up and approach me. She bear hug the hell out of me. 'Seriously Woman. You have some strength there!'
After the 'touching' scene. I tried to lead the kids out of the room before they try to smothered me.
I have an idea and said to Ron and the two girls, "Do you want to go to my house? It's right next door."
They were curious and asked thier parents for permission. Though a bit hesitant, they still said yes.
"My Dad said that muggles have the most interesting things. But how could that be, they don't even use magic, right?" Without the adults, Ron became talkative. And that was the first thing he said.
'Can I electrocute this guy?' My hands became itchy. Good thing that were at the front of my house.
When I entered the door, I hear Nana humming in the kitchen. I called out, "Nana! We have guests."
"Oh, Welcome. Come in. Marshall, I thought you where at Nicks for some lessons..." Nana acted as a homely grandma.
I replied, "They're from the local wizard families. Aunt Penny, invited thier parents for afternoon tea. Nick looks constipated again so my lesson got cut short."
I motioned the three to sit on the living room. I switched the TV on so they can watch something as I prepare some snacks.
"Ooohh.. Its a moving picture. But it got colors?" Luna was amazed when she saw the TV.
"Dad said it's called a television." Ginny said.
"It's not that impressive. Its like the moving picture the Phophet have. I even heard Hogwarts have many pictures that can talk." Ron commented.
When I heard that, I'm began charging my right hand. *toink* Nana hit the back of my head and said, "Dear, weren't you going to serve snacks. Get a move on then."
Nana made her way to the couch and talked to the girls while I place some cupcakes on a plate. I place it on a serving tray. I also added a can of Cheez Balls, a box of Gobstopper and two packs of Walkers Crisps.
For drinks, I serve cans of iced Cokes, Dr. Pepper, Fanta and 7 ups. I thought to myself, 'Lets see you say something about these.'
I place the snacks and drinks on the coffee table and said, "Guys, dig in. Don't shake the drinks. You just open it like this.." *phissh!* I opened a Coke can and took a sip. "Ahh".
Since I started living in Devon, I always have tea or water with my meal. But since that time meeting Marethyu, I remembered I'm very addicted to soft drinks in my past life. Good thing being linked to the Spring water directly cleanse my body.
"You have lovely eyes, Luna." Nana commented. That caught my attention. I remember the girl have a special sight as well.
*giggles* "Thank you. You have beautiful eyes too." Luna replied back.
"Don't mind what Luna say. She can be a bit looney sometim--..*Cough!*cough! "Water.. water.." Ron commented then immediately choked on a Gobstopper.
'Oh, that wasn't me...' I then looked at Nana who is still smiling at Luna. 'Hahaha.. see! You can't stand the guy as well.'
After that episode, we continue to have a fun time until there a tapping sound coming from the window. Nana said, "Marshall dear, Naji is back."
"Oh." I got up and opened the window. Naji flew in and perches on my shoulder. After I reprimanded him so many times, I just gave up. Nana is training the owl to deliver mails and some packages. He just came back from delivering a package to some friend of Nana in the US.
"Bloody hell, Mate! That's your owl?!" Ron exclaimed. The two girls also have a dumbstruck look.
"Yeah. He's a gift from a friend in France. His name is Naji. Naj say hello to the guests." I explained and motioned the owl to greet them.
"Hooo. " 🔥*sssssss*🔥 The owl didn't just said hello. He also let out a quick stream of red flame.
*cricket*cricket *
"What a lovely bird." Said Luna.
"Lovely?! More like wicked!!!" Ron added.
Ginny asked, "Can we pet it?".
"Naj can they pet you for a bit. Don't tased them like you did to uncle Nick." I asked Naji since he really don't get to be around people. I remember when Nana asked the Flamels to register him in France, Nick tried to pet it and got tased in return.
"hoooo" Naji let the girls touch him but when it was Ron's turn he turned invisible and flew towards the training room. He already figured out that I can't send him into my mindscape with guest around.
Ron was shocked and exclaimed, "Brilliant, mate!"
"Sorry about that. He rarely get to be around strangers." I apologize.
After that, we continued to eat snacks and watch the TV. When it was 3:46pm we heard a knock on the door.
'Oh, they must have finished thier talks.' I got up and about to walk to the door but Nana stopped me and said, "Dear, I'll get the door. Could you take some of the enchanted bracelets you made to give to thier moms. The five string ones will do."
'Oh, I forgot about Pandora's death. I was wracking my head on how to warn her.' I immediately went to my room and got two of my practice creations made with 5 strings imbued with praesidium (protection) charms.
I emptied two of my box for watches and placed the bracelets in, one on each. 'Now it looks more presentable.'
When I came back, I saw them huddled by the front door. The adults were greeting Nana with Penny by her side. The kids where already with them. I could see Arthur inspecting around the 'muggle stuff' in the living room.
When I came by, Molly attacked me with her bear hug again and said, "If you ever feel bored you can come to visit our house, Dear. Other than Ron and Ginny, we have five more boys for you to play with."
'Unhand me woman!' I've never been hugged more often since I got reincarnated in one day. I just replied, "Sure when I get a chance."
I then presented Molly and Pandora my gifts. When they opened it, they have a look of amazement. Molly's reaction was because the bracelet were made of gold strings. Pandora was different. I bet she also has a special sight and can see the magic put into the bracelets.
They were about to refuse but Nana insisted holding Pandora's arm with some force while smiling.
When they were about to leave, the two women didn't forget to give me some last minute bear hugs and kisses. Luna and Ginny waved at me while Ron kept talking about my owl to his dad.
They left via apparition. When they're gone, Penny looked at me and said, "So Marshall, where's my bracelet then."
I couldn't speak out of awkwardness until Nana said, "Why would you need it? You're not about to die." Then she came in the house.
Penny had a look of realization why I gave them the bracelets. She went back home pondering who between the two would die.
