Chapter 4: Gaining what's mine!
'What happened?'
I looked at him and said, 'What happened you ask? That's the same question I have. I was returning from academy and when I got here everything was like this. A ninja came and said that he kill them all. I fought with him, but he was too strong and after that he ran away. So why are you all here lord hokage? Sorry you didn't get proper welcome. But I am here. I Sasuke Uchiha, as the heir of once known Uchiha Clan welcomes you Lord Hokage and Lord Danzo'
With this everyone was silent. I saw an anbu close to Danzo which I recognize as Itachi. From the looks of his eyes he looks amused.
Then Hokage recovered and said, 'We are here to assist you. Everyone check if there is someone alive or not. We will take you to hospital to see if you are fine or not. Anbu take him there.'
After that I was taken to hospital and my check up started. After 3 hours it ended and I was given water and food. They didn't found anything except some scratches, burns and exhaustion. Since I didn't show signs of any mental trauma, yamanaka wasn't called.
After 30 minutes 3rd Hokage came and now we are alone here.
3rd Hokage asked, "What exactly happened there? Can you please explain it to me if it isn't too much for you?"
'When I reach my house, I saw dead bodies of my parents lying on the floor. Itachi was also there. He told me that he killed them all. After that he showed me through genjutsu how he killed all of them. I asked him the reason for this. He said that it was to test his limits. Then he said I am not worth killing and then ran away.' I told him with make my expression angrier with each word.
"We have confirmed that it was really Itachi. No one survived except you. You are now the last uchiha except Itachi."
Then he give me some time to process that.
After some time he spoke, "So what will you do now? What's your plan Sasuke?"
'I know what you are trying to ask lord Hokage and I understand why its important. Don't worry, I will not do what my brother did (well of course I will not be blindly devoted to leaf). I will protect my comrades of leaf and fight for its people (only those who actually deserve it). Village itself is not important but the people who lives in it are. No matter how much the village prosper, its all in vain if people are not happy. And I will kill him. I know I am not strong enough but I will train and become strong. And then I will kill the man responsible for this, I promise on the name of Uchiha (I am talking about Danzo but Hiruzen thinks its Itachi because he thinks I don't know the truth)' I told Hokage everything he wanted to be told that I will not betray the village or will not become like Danzo.
After hearing that Hiruzen genuinely smiled and said, "You really free me from my worry Sasuke. But revenge isn't the right way Sasuke. It will leave you with emptiness. And we are here to help you."
'Help huh. You are here to help? Doesn't village has a team of Yamanaka who monitor chakra of people for intruders and act at the time of emergency? A clan was wiped out and they didn't know until it was too late. You couldn't help us at the time of danger and now you want to help me, why? Because I am now the last uchiha and every village would kill and sacrifice to have me on their side.' I asked with actual anger this time.
He sigh and said with a defeated and sad face, "That was the fault from our side. I am really sorry about that Sasuke. I know sorry won't change anything but I will try to make up for it. So please if there is anything you can always come to me. I will always help you."
'No need for that lord Hokage. I just lose control there. And don't worry, I will not be swallowed by revenge. I will do it to bring justice to Uchiha Clan (Justice my foot! Everyone says that to make themselves believe that they are not like them but deep down they know its revenge). And I will come to you if I need anything.' I said but little did he know that I intentionally said that to guilt trip him so he can agree to my demands.
Then Hiruzen said, "Thanks for understanding Sasuke. And now, I have arrange an apartment for you. And I will give you money every month for usage. Here is your monthly allowance." He said while keeping an envelop on the table.
'Thanks 3rd Hokage. But you don't have to trouble yourself for that. I have my whole clan's will left with me, so I will be using that. I can, right?'
"Yes Sasuke, you can use it."
'Thanks! Now can you put everything under my name? And also I will be keeping that apartment which you choose for me just in case. I will pay for its rent also.'
"Ok Sasuke I will make the papers ready. And I will make someone clean the district-
'You don't have to worry about it. I have already thought what I will do about it.'
"Oh, and what is that if I may ask?"
'Its just that you will be sending some anbu to do it and I don't think I can stand to see an anbu because because he was in anbu getup at that time. So I am applying for a D rank mission in village to clean the uchiha district which will be done by jounins of my choice. And I will be paying an amount of A rank mission for this. So is my mission accepted? It will keep my mental health stable and also benefit the village as I am sure village is unstable now because of uchiha massacre.' With that I hoped that he buy it. There is no way I am letting them mess with MY property.
Hiruzen think for sometime and then agree to it by saying that my mental stability is important and it will benefit the village.
A some time Hiruzen said, "Listen Sasuke, I know you want to get strong but you can't use clan's library for learning jutsus alone as it can be dangerous. So until you does not grow up it will be in my possession and after that you can have it."
I know this will happens and I don't want to be on his bad side since I know there is a limit so I pretend to think for some time and said, 'How about this you just seal the library entrance and when I become a genin you can unseal it so I can learn them with the help of my sensei.' giving him a look that I am not taking a no for answer.
Hokage looked at me and said, "You don't trust us, do you?"
This time I decided to tell the truth because I am Sasuke and Sasuke is me, I didn't take over Sasuke's body but I was born as Sasuke here.
'I love Itachi the most. If a situation would ever arise that I had to choose between my parents and Itachi, I would choose Itachi. But I don't know anymore. Its not like I don't trust you all (which I totally don't), it's just that if a situation like that ever arise again that I was betrayed by my trust ones I would like to get out with least damage possible.
After all it was true. That was the reason original Sasuke never socialize. Although he also always fear that if he make friends again Itachi will kill them again. Until he get to know the truth.
As I said that Hiruzen started thinking, "Itachi your brother is just like you. Both loves each other so much and now someday they will fight to death. And all that because of me because I was incompetent. I will take responsibility for it as its because of me that you have trust issues now."
"I get it. It is also our fault. So I will take responsibility. I agree with your condition."
'Thanks. ...And can I... ask for one favor?' I asked him. I am totally pushing my luck. And why not, the worse that can happen is to get a no. They can't do anything to me and if they did Itachi will Amaterasu their asses.
"Of course. What is it? If it is within reason I will agree."
'Not many knows but father was training us both for becoming the leader and after father, Itachi also taught me and also share his views. So can you give me a list of rules and conditions of Uchiha Clan with village and information on councils rights of the clan. I know that village rule about becoming clan head are different but in my clan in extreme situations I am allowed to become clan head. I would like to read it all. As it would help me in future. And when I become ninja I can join council on behalf of Uchiha Clan or can choose a representative for me.'
"...You really are a genius for your age. You are right. It will help you and when you become a ninja you can choose your representative. I will provide you originals of clan & village agreement and a copy of council rights with your clan's will. Anything else?"
'Yes. I want leave for 1 week from academy if it is possible.'
"Of course. It will be no problem. And if that's all you should take some rest now. all Jounins will be present tomorrow in my office. Come by 9."
'That's all. Thanks for your help! And you should also take rest. I am sure lots of paperwork will be waiting for you tomorrow.'
"Ah yes. Worst enemy of Hokage PAPERWORK. Thanks for concern Sasuke. Goodnight."
'Goodnight.'
It was 2 in the morning. After he left I just tell the nurse for alarm and new clothes because as exhausted as I am now I won't be able to get up tomorrow.
After that I went to sleep and I was right. I immediately fell asleep as exhaustion caught up to me.
