Chapter 3: Chapter 3 – Merman Mentorship
Xiao Qing left her cottage to take a walk in the mountainous area of Xuan Dong.
As she strolled along the seaside, she unexpectedly encountered a merman who had accidentally swum too close to shore.
Reacting quickly, Xiao Qing guided him back into the water, and the merman expressed his gratitude, thanking her for saving his life.
"You're welcome! Be careful next time." Xiao Qing said.
"I'll be your mentor on life troubles for a while, as a payback for saving my life. Come, tell me your worries." The merman said.
The merman's name is called Ning Hai. He roamed this sea along with other sea creatures.
He has dark blue hair, beautiful blue eyes, and red eyeliner.
Ning Hai looked at Xiao Qing's eyes and immediately understood what her worries are.
Ning Hai said out and Xiao Qing was shocked he knew.
"I have the ability to read minds and emotions of both mortals and immortals. If you encountered me, this means that you had found your soulmate." Ning Hai said.
"You will meet a massive storm along the way. But trust me, you will be seeing yourself not regretting it one bit. This is also an opportunity to meet new people. Be it mortals or immortals. Whatever you do, do not lose this opportunity." Ning Hai said.
After saying all those words, Ning Hai swarm off far into the sea.
Xiao Qing could not believe her eyes and ears. Quietly, she walks off.
She encountered a cleaner along the seaside. She asked her.
"Do you know of a merman living here, called Ning Hai?" Xiao Qing asked.
"Honey, Ning Hai is a million-year-old legendary merman. He does not live here. An ordinary seaside is not a place for an upper-class immortal like him to reside in." The cleaner answered and walked off. Her reply suggests that Xiao Qing is living under a rock.
Xiao Qing began staring into space, thinking it was all an illusion or dream?
Is this the side effect of meeting a mythical creature, leading me to meet another one as well?
So many questions, yet so few answers…
However, Xiao Qing understood what he meant and took his words to heart.
