Chapter 2: Chapter 1
"What do you mean by that Ben?"-The redhead said.
"Are you dumb or what? I asked who Ben was. Now excuse me, I have to save your weak ass. Useless!"
The girl was visibly shocked but I couldn't care less.
Lasers pierced my body as people in knight armour shot some futuristic weapons. It tickled, to be honest, but then something interesting happened.
One of the Beams decapitated my hand from my body.
"You mother-trucker!"-I screamed on the top of my lungs, but a vine reattached the lost limb back to the body. I can regenerate too? This is going to be fun.
"Sweet. Now I'll fuck y'all up."
The laser beams continued to come towards me, but my instincts were sharp enough to dodge every single one of them. Duck and right, duck and left, uppercut, leg sweep and many more were the basic skills that this new body of mine granted me, so I took them all out in an instant.
After dealing with them, a boy in a black T-shirt and blue jeans jumped in front of me.
"Hey, Tennyson!"-He said.
"Who are you kid and what do you want?"
"Kid? You calling me a kid now? You trapped me in the Null void for all these years and now you are so brave to ask what I want?"
"Not gonna lie, being trapped in that void thing must suck. I bet that's a skill issue from your side. Couldn't be me though."
"And you ruined my deal today. I think I want revenge."
"Aight, think whatever you want bozo! The thing that I know is that you're going down."
"You do remember that I can absorb anything now right?"
"You what now?"
Smirking, he placed his hands on the road, taking the texture and I assume the durability of it too.
"And now I have more than enough power to take you on Tennyson."
He slowly started walking towards me, so as an alpha male, I also went to him. I wasn't expecting him to put a hole in my body though.
"Yeah, you'll die today, Ben."
"Yeah, just so you know, I can regenerate."
I raised my hands in the air and after gaining some kinetic energy I slapped him on both of the sides of his head. He screamed like a little bitch, so I kicked him in the abdomen, sending him flying to the containers.
Unfortunately for me, he threw a container at me the moment he stood up. Panicking I ducked and unlocked a new ability that I'd like to call "peekaboo". The container landed where I was standing and this kid approached it to check if I was dead or not. My vines raised up from the ground reforming my body.
"Peekaboo, bitch!" I said and gave him a fist-bump of a lifetime straight in the face.
Disoriented, he stumbled backwards, leaning on another container. This bitch never runs out of those big-ass stuff. He had enough strength to pick up another container, but I had another trick up my sleeve.
I raised my hands like a kung fu master and tried to channel all of my energy into my upper limbs. Surprisingly, this worked and my hands were engulfed in flames.
"Oh shit, shit, shit, I'm gonna burn!!!" I panicked but I didn't feel any sensation. So I guess I control the flames too? Ohohoo... Now let me cook!
"Hey, you see these flames? Catch them!"
I shot a beam of flames towards the container that the kid was holding. It hit him but I still wasn't able to damage his structure. But, he was on the ground, unable to get up.
"Hey, come on now, don't die on me. We are just getting started boy!"
He changed back to his human form. I was confused. Did I kill him, or is this a trap? I approached him to make sure he was still alive. Fortunately for me, he just blacked out. I was safe.
"Ben, can you get us out of this sticky substance?" The redhead screamed at me.
"That sounds weird lady, but ok."
Along with her, there was a funny-looking alien in a spacesuit stuck in the same substance. I guess that was the same liquid that the yellow thing was trying to spit on me.
I shot a fireball at both of them and the substance started to melt down.
"Don't I deserve a thank you?"
"Jeez. Thanks, Ben."
"I told you, I am not Ben."
Something started to tick as I changed the green form and became a human.
"But you look just like him."
"OK, listen now young lady. My name is, or at least was Arthur. I had two brothers and a sister. I was the oldest. Some time ago, I got shot and died and I assume I got reincarnated in this body. I also assume that you and this body of mine are in a close relationship."
"Yeah, we're cousins. My name is Gwen, Gwen Tennyson."
"Am supposed to know this guy in a black T-shirt too?"
"Yes. That's Kevin, our old friend. But anyways, what happened after you died?"
"Oh, when I opened my eyes I was floating in space with two giant green masks. They were talking about some kind of gadget called the "Omnitrix" or something. They also said something about a "batter wielder". So I guess they reanimated my soul in your cousin's body. Hate to break this to you, but your cousin's soul might be in my dead body, so he is most likely dead."
"Oh no." The girl started crying.
Not knowing what to do I placed my hand on her back and said: "Hey, I'm really sorry."
The alien in the spacesuit went towards the Kevin guy and handcuffed him with some kind of energy cuffs.
Not long after Kevin woke up and the first thing he tried to do was to remove the handcuffs.
"Energy cuffs, you can't escape." The alien said. "Aint nothing there to absorb. Now let's talk a bit tough guy. These weapons that you were dealing run on ethipord energy cells and it is a dangerous technology way too advanced for humans. They shouldn't even be on this planet."
"And how's that my problem?" Kevin asked.
I was already too annoyed with this brat so I said: "While we were having a showdown shithead, the guys in knight armours got away with a crate full of this tech. Now you either tell us where they went, or I'll make sure that you'll never walk again."
Gwen approached him: "Kevin, people might get hurt. Do you really want innocent civilians to die?"
"You don't have to convince me. Those guys ran off before paying me. I will help you locate them."
"Very well then dumbass. Get up, there's no time to waste."
