Chapter 8: Boss Fight

I went to the place where Laplace is.

The moment I laid my eyes on him, I knew I wouldn't stand a chance against him no matter how powerful I might become. Although he's not wearing any sort of Battle Aura, his powerful magic isn't anything to scoff at. I knew he would crush me like an insect the instant I tried anything.

The Three Heroes arrived.

I could sense three powerful Magic Aura approaching the Demon God Laplace's place.

I chose to hide myself from the fight not so far away. I observed the upcoming legendary battle that will go down in history books.

The battle started.

A youthful looking boy with silver hair summoned his twelve powerful spirits, ithat should be Armored Dragon KingPerugius Dola. I could sense that each of them possess incredible amount of strength. According to the story, each of them are at King class power.

A man that looks half Dragon and half Human charged first. He must be the Dragon God Ulpen.

Following beside him is a man with black hair that looks full human. He carried a great sword and he wields it skillfully. That must be North God Kalman I.

They cooperated with each other to fight with the Demon God.

However just as anyone expected, no matter how outnumbered Laplace became surrounded by powerful warriors he dominated the fight with his powerful magical abilities.

First he oblirated each of Pergius's summoned spirits while he was fending of the Dragon God and the North God.

Laplace didn't even look like he was struggling in the fight. Although I could tell he was putting more effort than his past fights. After all his previous fights all ended with him one shotting his enemies.

But his opponents are not just any skilled warriors, but a Dragon God, a North God, and a Dragon King with control of powerful spirits. And they were even cooperating, Laplace needs to spend more effort.

Observing closely, I could sense something within Laplace's body with my third eye.

It's like a clump of Mana moving around so fast. That must be the weakpoint I have known.

I slowly crept closer on his blindspot, getting ready to strike the moment he puts his guard down.

The fight is ongoing and the three heroes are outmatched by the Demon God Laplace.

North God Kalman is down and knockout far away.

Armored Dragon King Perugius Dola is also down with only the Heaven Race woman alive out of all his spirits.

Dragon God Ulpen is currently gathering all of the aggro to buy his comrades some time to recover.

He fought impressively one on one, though his goal buying more time than engaging the fight straightforward. No wonder he's called the Dragon God. He's really strong too.

Just based on his fighting capabilities I could tell that he was even stronger than father, who is considered the strongest warrior of our tribe. Well I did manage to beat father in a fight, so that made me the strongest warrior of our tribe now.

Not so long later Laplace sent an attack to the weakened Perugius. Ulpen jumped in the way of the attack and took the hit for Perugius.

I could see Laplace relax for a bit after seeing all the heroes that stands against him are down for the count.

My chance arrived.

I leapt at full speed masking my presence making sure I wouldn't get detected. I launched into sneak attack with full force.

And I struck at the moving clump of Mana with pin point accuracy. The Immortal Laplace became mortal.

"Ghh... You..." He growled at me realizing his

carelessness.

That was the first time I ever heard of his voice. He didn't even had any screen time in the Light Novel, and yet today I could even struck his weakpoint personally. Oh how far I have come.

Taking this opportunity, Ulpen slammed both his hands at the ground.

"This will be the end of you Laplace!"

The ground starts to glow a kaleidoscope of light. It resembles the summoning and teleportation magic Perugius used with his spirits.

I see, so this is the trap they have set up since the beginning of the battle huh. It isn't that Perugius was inactive all this time, but is setting up a Sealing Barrier for Laplace before getting himself knocked out of the fight.

"Don't think that was enough to kill me! Man…! Man…! I'll kill you! I'll destroy you! Just wait, you damn bastard, I'll…"

His body is now covered in massive amounts of Mana from Dragon God Ulpen's sealing technique. His body disintegrated and fades away.

However before that happened I could his Mana swirling into a strange pattern. Is he performing his forbidden technique?

His Mana of origin that supplies his own life began to scatter all throughout the world.

Strange, usually the Mana of people dissipates and return to the world. I could sense that this Mana didn't return to the world, and instead scattered through all the world.

Is this the rumored legendary reincarnation technique of the Dragon Race? Truly this Laplace is one heck of a guy. He just refuses to die.

After the end of the battle, I was faced with Ulpen and Kalman.

"Are you a person of that Superd tribe?" It was Ulpen who asked me. The exhaustion on his face clear to see.

"Yes I am a Superd."

Both Ulpen and Kalman looked at me with shock. But still seeing my green hair, the red jewel on my forehead, and my spear trident convinced them.

"You aren't gonna attack us suddenly right? I heard that your people are bloodthirsty attacking friends and does alike." The swordsman Kalman said.

"My father and his band of warriors are deceived by Laplace." Unconsciously I gripped my spear so hard, my arms shaking in anger.

"Demon God Laplace becomes aware of our tribe's ability. Our third eye can detect his vital spot, making us the only race that can kill Laplace for good." I calmed down and gave my story.

"Thirty years ago Laplace schemes to exterminate our tribe. He gifted my father the warrior chief and his band of warriors cursed spears. Normally our spears are considered our very own soul and never would we consider abandoning our spears for such accursed spears. However our warrior's loyalty for Laplace is high and in they end they chose to abandoned the spears they have used since young."

"These new weapons were enormously powerful: they amplified their bearers' physical capabilities several times over, nullified the effects of the humans' magic, and heightened our warriors' already sharp senses even further. Our warriors were now nearly invincible. But in exchange, they were gradually transformed. The more blood their new spears tasted, the more corrupt their souls grew." I took a deep breathe and then faced the heroes.

"And that's why to follow through the surviving Superd's oath for vengeance." Tears of blood flowed down from my red eyes. My face must have been horrifying.

I remembered my comrades. The young warriors who just recently matured started training from my cruel methods. They've grown into fine warriors and they died with their honor protecting the tribe.

The woman I just spent the night with lying in the ground lifeless, I never even got to know her name. Truly I'm a no good man.

And so I told my stories to the three heroes.
