Chapter 39: 'To save, To know, To Destroy.'

"Do you think they will say yes, Your Highness?"

Azrael, who was writing something in his notebook, looked up and placed his pen on the coffee table in front of him. He thought for a bit before answering. 

"Truthfully, I don't know." 

After Azrael's talk with Caspian and Adham, he did not give them a chance to speak and dismissed them both. He wanted to give them as much time as possible to think about whether or not they wanted to help the young prince achieve his goals. 

'More likely to make it easier for me to get them to like Eirian considering he won't be able to do the things he did for them in the novel anymore.' Azrael sighs as he nervously tugged on a strand of his hair while sneaking small glances at Eirian who surprisingly stayed in his room to talk. 

"By the way, Eirian..."

Eirian turns his head slightly to look at Azrael, waiting for him to say whatever he had to say. "I want to apologize."

"For what?"
