Chapter 27: Dumbledore's veritaserum
The next day after Andrew woke up he saw Hannah, Hermoine, Cassandra near his bed. He asked the girls how long is he asleep? But what answered him is a slap from Hannah.
She hugged him and cried saying," why did you use the power of obscurus? Now you're life span is going to decrease again and you'll die", Andrew consoled her and then asked how long is he asleep.
She said he is been asleep for two days. Andrew nodded with a sigh while the girls reprimanded him for being careless and scolded his reckless behaviour of using the life force to save someone who didn't even consider him as a brother.
Dumbledore at this time is out eavesdropping on them. He came forward and said," Mr Percival is very tired due to the obscurus. I presume he needs more rest and also talk between us is needed".
Andrew looked at him expressionlessly while the girls exited the room. The door is closed while madam pomfrey brought a potion for him but she looked a little guilty for some reason.
Andrew understood it is maybe a veritaserum. He will use the horse charm to dispell it anyway. What concerned him is the one behind Dumbledore. Grindelwald under an invisibility cloak.
Pomfrey gave it to Andrew while he drank it and a few seconds later he used the horse charm to dispell the effets while acting like it's working. Dumbledore looked at pomfrey who exited the room.
Grindelwald cake out and asked," do you remember anyone called Arianna", Andrew shook his head in daze while Grindelwald asked him again," who are you really?", Andrew replied," Andrew Lucian Potter. The abandoned child of house Potter who changed his name to Andrew Percival".
Grindelwald nodded while Dumbledore asked," do you have any memories or dreams about living another life", Andrew said yes and told them he has 2 of those dreams where he lived another life as a girl.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald looked wide eyed while Grindelwald asked," what is your opinion on Dumbledore? Do you want to kill him? What do you want to do in future?", Andrew in a daze replied," I hate Dumbledore for taking everything from me. I don't want to kill anyone. I want to live a happy life until my end reached me without any trouble".
Dumbledore asked," why you don't want to kill me or anyone else?", Andrew said in a daze," at first I hated Dumbledore but gradually after life in diagon alley I onky want to live a happy life among people and don't wish to hurt anyone".
Dumbledore and Grindelwald looked guilty while Grindelwald asked," if you're given a chance to kill potter's and Dumbledore will you kill them", Andrew said in a daze," no", then Grindelwald asked a question that caught Dumbledore off guard," do you want to change the fate of muggles and wizards by joining the siants? We'll also provide you with long life span".
Andrew said in a daze," I don't know siants. I don't want to involve in anyones fight. I'm going to die soon and I'll live those last days happily in diagon alley. I won't join anyone's fight even if they offered me life".
Dumbledore glared at Grindelwald and then cast a revelio and a sleep charm on Andrew whioe looking at him. He then used legilmancy to clear everything that happened and added a few false memories about him talking kindly to Andrew and Andrew let a part of hatred dispersing.
Grindelwald looked at Andrew with a sigh then at Dumbledore. He scoffed when he saw the false memories injection into Andrew. Just then they heard foot steps and immediately Grindelwald put on the invisibility cloak.
It's Snape and McGonagall who are glaring at Dumbledore. Snape came forward and asked," did you satisfy with the answers you got from giving the boy a veritaserum headmaster. So what's your next step killing him directly and say his life span is exhausted as an obscurus and he died".
McGonagall also has the same look while Dumbledore said," no need. I won't disturb Andrew anymore. I'll give you some elixir of life. You give it to the boy Severus".
