Synopsis

Three years ago, he ran rampant in Africa, undeniably the King of Soldier Kings. Three years later, he returned to the city, carless, houseless, and constantly in trouble.
Applying to be a security guard at a company, switching from the battlefield to the office, he's low key, clever, with depth. Even security guards can have their moment in the spring.
Every time someone asked him, why are you always the unlucky one?
Basil Jaak would shyly say, it's just because I'm too obviously handsome!

I read the first 10 free chapters. Generally I am very interested in the topic of soldiers coming back home and books that involve guns, war fighting but no major fantasy or sci-fi so I had my hopes up for this novel. Sadly so far all people are very haughty and their actions are full of stereotypical nonsense. Women are reduced to their looks and the ML is a pervert. On top of that the MC encounters one unlucky event after the other. The writing doesn't have any big grammatical errors but there are a few holes in the story. The writing feels inconsistent. The plot is predictable and nothing new really. The world background should be based on real life. There isn't much to say so far. Same goes for the updating stability, I can't comment on. If the further chapters were free I would continue to read this leisurely for today until I'm sick of it and drop it. The pay wall starts unreasonably early in this novel (chapter 11) without any truly interesting plot points to keep you fixed on reading. I don't think it's worth my coins so I dropped it. You should try it for yourself to build your own opinion.

I don't like this book. the author is not creative and the story is dry, the ml is stupidly op. and then again, the author made some really abusive and offensive comments right on the first chapter about Africa which I pointed out but it seems like the author or the author's major fan is brushing it off as "it's just a story don't take it to heart". no apology, no correction of the mistake, no admittal to the mistake.

I had some hopes for this book originally but sadly quickly realized that this is one of the main stereotypical plots that you see get destroyed in almost every villain novel and has a rather brain dead protagonist.
