Chapter 3: Tough Time
"Alarm"
Priya wakes up and shuts down the alarm. Did exercise for 30 minutes and got ready to go to her job. She went to the dining table to have breakfast. Priya set on the chair but the maid didn't serve breakfast.
Priya:Is breakfast not made yet?
Chief Maid Ashsa arrived.
Asha:I don't understand. I and your aunt did our best to teach you manners but here we are. How have you become so arrogant and irresponsible?
Priya : (How did I become like this? Don't you ask Who made me like this huh! ?) It's my bad I'm sorry. I will try to improve myself sorry.
Asha:Don't invite anyone without a permit again.
Priya:Ok. I'm being late. I will leave now.
Priya left without having breakfast.
At the Hospital.
Priya:I'm famished.
Muskan:Why so, didn't have breakfast?
Priya:I woke up late and was in a rush so skipped breakfast. (liar)
Muskan:That's not good.
Priya:Sorry.
Muskan: Your brother comes late and also hungry and forces me to have meals with him always.
Priya:That's so him. He is a pervert but a good person too.
Muskan:Yeah I figured that out while working with him.

Priya:I will have something during lunch but meanwhile I will have some milk.
Muskan: OK, I will head to our department then.
Priya:Do you want something to drink?
Muskan: Nope. Treat yourself.
Priya drank chocolate milk and started doing her work she started checking her patients. Priya was heading to another floor so she went to the elevator but then she saw some doctors running towards her with a patient on a stretcher. They all came inside the elevator and the elevator got closed. They were on the 2nd floor and wanted to go to the 3rd floor. Everyone was in such a hurry but suddenly the elevator got jammed doctors started to panic because of it.
Priya:Doctors what happened?
Doctor A: Ma'am we are from the Emergency Department and we all do not have enough experience we don't know what to do without seniors right now and this patient is in bad condition and we don't know what to do we all were heading him to the 3rd floors for surgery but looks like elevator has got jammed.
Priya:Why you didn't take him in the patient's elevator?
Doctor B :3 of them are busy.
Doctor C:I'm too scared what if the patient died?
Priya:Such a good day I'm having. Doctors let me see what I can do and stop panicking you will make the patient's condition worse.
Priya checked the patient, she gently touched his neck and chest.
Priya:His oesophagus seems to be blocked the patient is unable to breathe in this conclusion. Do we get a portable oxygen cylinder [oxygen cylinder]?
Doctor A: Yes ma'am.
Priya:Do we have Scalpels [medical knives]?
Doctor B: Scapel, lancet, or hi-
Priya:Sca-
Doctor C: Scalpel! We need a sharp scalpel right now.
Priya:Good. He is right. We need to connect the oxygen cylinder to the patient's oesophagus so he can have oxygen. And someone please call the damn security department. Doctor C gave me gloves.
C Doctor: Yes Ma'am.
Priya took Scapel in her hand she knew just a mistake and the patient's life would be gone. Priya needed to be more careful as it was not her patient. She was taking someone else duties into her own hands, also when she was not assigned to it. She carefully cut deep into the oesophagus and carefully connected the oxygen cylinder to the oesophagus and the patient was able to breathe now. The security team opened the lift and took the patient to the surgery room immediately. Priya took off her gloves threw them in the dustbin and set on the waiting seats in front of the surgery room Doctors A, B, and C came to Priya. Doctor C brought water for her.
Doctor A: Ma'am you are awesome.
Doctor B: Yes Ma'am you were so cool back then.
Doctor C: You must be very experienced.
Priya: Haha *laughs What senior who me? haha... ha I just started working as a Doctor 8 days ago it's my 9th day here. You, people, have more work experience than me.
All the doctors were shocked
Doctor A: We three have been working here for half a year now and you are saying.... that you just started working 8 days ago. WTF.
Doctor A lifts Priya from her collar.
Doctor A: Are you insane or something you were pretending so confident? What if something happens to the patient all of our certificates will be cancelled because of your reckless a** you b*tch.
Priy: You don't know whose collar you are holding. I'm the 48% owner of this hospital. My father is one of the important trustees of this hospital, my aunt is the CEO of this hospital and I'm a cardiologist my family owns this damn hospital so who the duck you are to hold my collar?
Doctor A: So you are that B*tch about whom everyone is talking around. Just because you got money what do you think you can own us too?
Priya: I believe I can.
*Smack Doctor A slapped Priya.
*Dishom Lucky punched the Doctor A.
Prathmesh, Tista, Priyanshi, and Muskan all arrived.
Lucky: I will f*ck you piece of garbage. How dare you touch my sister you disgusting d*ck.
Lucky was about to go and beat Doctor A but Prathmesh stopped him.
Lucky: Hey let me go I can't just stand when that f*cker harmed my precious sister.
Prathmesh: I'm too mad at him I also want to smash his balls but we are in the Hospital and Priya needs us more than him right now. You caused enough damage to him for now.
Lucky: Okay for now.
Prathmesh: Where is Priya?
Priya was no longer there.
Muskan: She went to the CEO's office. Priyanshi is with her.
Lucky: She got a rough day my poor sister.
At the CEO's office.
Priyanshi: It must hurt hard.
Priya:Nah not that much. (I'm going to die soon I'm feeling like.)

Priya : (I feel so terrible just from imagining how much she cares about me) Yeah...

Priyanshi: Yeah you are the strongest person I have known.
Priya: Haha.. *laughs.
Priyanshi: Haha.. *laughs (Seems like her mood is fine now.)
Priya : (I don't want to worry her. It's good that f*cker slapped me, now when I get a slap from my aunt I don't need to lie to others for having a hurt cheek. I'm sorry.) Hey, you need to leave me alone now.
Priyanshi: Why?
Priya: My aunt and I will need some privacy you know.
Priyanshi: Oh OK.
Priya hugs Priyanshi.
Priya: Can you go and get me ice cream please you know just now I need the chocolate flavour to calm down and relax. Please?

After Priyanshi left Priya went inside the CEO's office where Aunt Rubby was waiting for her.

Rubby: Who asked you to do this? He was not your patient. Heads are having a meeting because of what you did. They may cancel your certificate and ask you to pay for your mistake. How you could be so irresponsible? I hate you. You are just a useless kid.
Priya: (Meeting is held for hospital mistakes I did nothing which could considered as a mistake.) I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry. It was my bad my fault I'm sorry but I just couldn't sit back and see someone dying.
Ruby: Mistake is done once it's your second time. When you were completing your medical training at that time also you performed a surgery that you were not supposed to do. Why do you have to play hero all the time?
"Because I can't afford to be a villain." Priya thought.
Rubby: I said to your parents that I will be in charge of you but you never obey me just like her. *sniff why? Are you also gonna leave me like her? Why do you have to be like this?
Rubby starts to cry. Priya hugged her.
Priya: (Here starts the drama) Aunt please don't cry it's all my fault please forgive me please I'm sorry.

Priya: I should leave now. Please take care of yourself.
Rubby: Okay.
Priya went to the bathroom and washed her face hard and cried while doing that. She went nearby, everyone.
Priyanshi: PRIYA! *shouted what's wrong with your face it's so red.
Priya : (A red face is better for me than having a face with hands print.) I'm sick I drank last night also was up till late.
Priyanshi: That's so bad. It's not good for your health.
Tista: Yes it's bad you didn't invite.
Priya: I'm sorry, let's have a drink party and enjoy ourselves next time.
Tista:That sounds great to me.
Lucky: Party word always sounds great.
Tista: Yep. But no one is inviting you.
Lucky: I don't need an invitation. I will be there chilling.
Prathmesh to Priya.
Prathmesh: Are you fine?
Priya:I must look like a red-faced monkey right now right?
Prathmesh: Don't change the topic.
Priya: Skip.
Prathmesh: What?
Priya:I'm skipping your question. I will answer it some other day but not now. Can we please eat ice cream now? (I don't feel like lying anymore.)
Priyanshi: Yeah I got it for you.
Muskan: No.
Everyone looks at Muskan with a long face.
Muskan: Priya is sick she should take a half day and go home to rest or should just be admitted to the hospital we will do her care.
Lucky: Ah.. she is right.
Priya: I will just sleep for 40 minutes after taking the medicine and then will start my work again.
Priyanshi: You should just simply go home and rest.
Priya: Can I have food first? I haven't eaten since morning.
Muskan: What you haven't had that yet? Do you wish to die?
Priya : (I do..) No! I'm sorry I thought I would have it after doing a bit of work but then all things happened and it was already afternoon by that time.
Tista: Let's go and eat I'm on a little break.
Priya: Great, you all went back to your work I will be fine (as always).
Priyanshi felt like something wasn't right like there was something she wanted to know from Priya but didn't know what. Everyone went to work but Priya and Tista went to eat.
Tista: Something happened between you and the Director?
Priya: *Cough Ah...I kissed him after being drunk.
Tista: Drunk mistake?
Priya: Yes.
Tista: You don't often do that. Even after drinking a lot, you don't puke or faint. You are the one who does take care of everyone after everyone is drunk.
Priya: Your boyfriend doesn't drink often right?
Tista: Oh yeah he doesn't like its taste.
Priya: Then he should try wine it's taste is decent. I will gift him red wine next time.
Tista: As you wish- wait you changed the topic again.
Priya: Haha.
Prathmesh came to Priya and Tista and gave them a nutrient drink.
Priya: Oh you don't have to. We are fine.
Prathmesh: Please let me help you.
Priya: No yo-
Tista: Let him. Thank you director you can leave now.
Prathmesh: Oh yeah thank you. See you later and please take care of yourself.
Priya: Yeah.
After Prathmesh leaves.
Tista: What is wrong with him? He is nice and is the director.
Priya: I'm not rejecting him because he is not nice but because he is nice I don't want to act like a kid and play with his feelings.
Tista: Okay. But nothing bad in dating.
Priya: I will think about it. (Maybe after getting a second life.)
Tista: Things are going unexpectedly lately for you.
Priya: Yeah but we can't help it. I can't change my sexuality for him or can I?
Tista: You can't but I guess you don't even need that. He may accept you as Bisexual.
Priya: And see him getting hurt? I have hurt enough people because I was scared to be in a relationship.
Tista: It's... you reject girls and boys both yet you are Bisexual?
Priya: I like boys and girls a lot. My attraction to them is normal just my life lessons were hard.
Tista: Sight* Whatsoever I'm always by your side for you tho.
Priya: I'm thankful for it with my whole life. It's weird I always say I won't fall for you so I can see if they will still stay but I guess I play too hard to get which makes them often lead to heartbreak and start to move on from me.
Tista: Yeah I have seen. My poor soul-sister you are, I had married you but I'm not gay. Maybe in the next life.
Priya: Nah I want you as a best friend again in the next life.
Tista: OK my majesty.
