Chapter 101: Metamorphosis II
It was an open challenge, an open invitation for them to come and fight me together. I jumped far away from the girls and into the air and prepared to have a rough fight, what I didn't know, was that I was severely underestimating myself.
I thought about using my abilities and then, all of a sudden... everything became smooth. As easy as running, something very intuitive.
"Just like we wanted!" Susanoo and Tsukiyomi rushed at me together, there was also a group of Onmyouji who didn't even have any regard for my words and started running towards the girls who they thought were my 'sidekicks'.
Still, it was all for nothing.
The flames poured out of my eyes, they were all staring at me.
[Sun Stare!]
*RUMBLE!*
!!!!
"AHHHHH!!!!"
"MY EYES!!!!"
The screams of pain started, the knees hitting the ground, the despair of facing a god.
The eyes of the onmyouji present began to burn as they shrieked, some of them even began to be consumed by golden flames, those of weak will. Even Tsukiyomi and Susanoo covered their eyes as if they were seeing something that blinded them. Ely told me that this technique was deadly against mortals and troublesome against Gods, I can see now why.
If I leave it for too long. Those mortals are going to die... I decided to make quick work out of this, my objective is simple: to leave a message.
I blurred, flying faster than sound in a golden haze and arriving next to Susanoo, fist-ready. A fist filled with wrath, he brandished what looked like a spear and felt me coming, he blocked with it, but the moment I punched it, that spear didn't snap, but it bent.
"What?!-ugh!"
I punched him straight in the gut and felt resistance, as you would expect of a god but still, he couldn't match me in physical strength.
I sent him flying a few hundred metres away, leaving everyone stupefied not only by the fact that I blasted him off, but also by the fact that I took their diplomacy and cleaned my ass with it. Now I am Japan's enemy.
I realised that my sun stare did manage to take care of the mortals, all of the Onmyouji, even the ones that looked particularly stronger, were almost incapacitated. If I kept going, they might die and I didn't want that.
Japan considers me their enemy now, but I don't.
A sword came swiping towards me, it was Tsukiyomi and from that sword, I felt threatening energy, moon laws.
Still, I evaded it... I had already seen it coming. With these eyes... there was almost nothing I couldn't see.
The white pristine streak of his sword pierced across the world, leaving a gnashing scar on the ground that went as far as the eye could see, but still, I was untouched.
"You're the man Yasaka put her eyes on, I wouldn't underestimate you".
"Do you fancy my fox?"
"Disrespectful bastard, do you even know how precious she is?!"
It turns out, this is a personal matter for him. He rushed at me Katana in hand, slicing expertly as I kept dodging. Not efficiently, not classy, I just dodged.
When the best opportunity presented itself, I punched forth... it was so easy to see.
[Sun Explosion!]
A ball of golden energy coated my fist, I recalled it from Heracles, it was an ability generated after I devoured him. Before impacting my fist on him I frowned and changed directions. He gasped as a phantom slash that wasn't created by his sword, struck towards the position where I was going to be.
"How did you-"
"I saw it".
My fist struck against his chest and the explosion thundered the world like a ballistic missile, it burnt his pretty face. Tsukiyomi spat blood and caved a hole into the ground, about thirty metres before coming to a stop in a pile of debris.
I felt the energy ofTsukiyomi and Susanoo surging, they were going to release their full power against me. I allowed them to do so and in the meantime, put my eyes on the group of Onmyouji. Their eyes bled, the majority of them were out cold after receiving my Sun Stare, some even had third-degree burn marks.
I don't care how injured they are as long as they don't die.
Among them, four of them had been using some sort of secret technique to communicate with each other, a pity for them... this method of communication uses energy.
"That array you're trying to set up, I advise against doing anything stupid, mortals".
!!!
They panicked but still executed one last effort, the array they created had the form of four beasts. A white tiger, a black tortoise, a flaming bird and a yellow dragon.
[Energy Records doesn't only allow you to see energy, Ray. It is a way stronger ability than that and even though it is currently being suppressed by Anubis, you should still be able to use that].
I lifted my hand and pointed towards the array, moving a single finger.
"Impossible!"
Crack sounds were heard, like the indistinguishable noise of glass breaking before the whole array crumbled. I didn't have to do much. Change the flow of energy a bit, and the whole array which is a cluster of energy flows will be obliterated in a heartbeat.
It almost felt like hacking.
I wanted to try and use a lot more of my powers to try and understand my capabilities better, now that I had Energy Records, those abilities felt almost intuitive to use, like they had belonged to me for the longest while.
I landed next to the girls as the ground began to shake, Tsukiyomi and Susanoo were in the process of becoming gigantic... gigant gods.
"Master, were you always this strong?" Hasshaku-sama was the most shocked, she saw my prowess in fighting Heracles when we were at Mount Yotei. Kuroka too was shivering as for Tsunade, her eyes were calculative.
"Listen to me well, girls... I don't want anyone fighting for me anymore. I must become stronger no matter what".
Two humongous explosions were heard in two separate directions, there a gigantic red asura-like monster arose wielding a gigantic spear. On the other side, a humanoid monster with six arms and six swords, all of them as tall as buildings, glaring at me.
I waved my hands and a white mist enveloped the girls.
[Moonlight Mist].
It was Georg's ability, a very useful spatial ability, that allowed me to transfer anything from one point to another, in this case, I took the girls out of here and into the heavens. It worked the first time I tried it.
It has other usages but for now, I only wanted to do that.
'Horus, why can't I use the interdimensional gate as intuitively as this?'
[Because the transdimensional gate is a complex spell that requires expertise in regards to the spatial laws in the great plains. To travel across universes is not as simple as just blinking across two points of space in the same world. Your expertise in space laws must reach 100% before you can even try to create a transdimensional gate].
'I understand'.
That's something I'll have to address later, right now. There are two big gods in front of me, or better yet, two huge clusters of Chaos Points to predate.
This is going to make me Japan's true enemy and even Amaterasu may hate me for it, but I can't put my wife to the side and start caring about everyone else. She sacrificed herself just so I could get a second life, she sacrificed herself just so I could be here.
No more.
I must get Chaos Points and become an Overgod, the faster the better.
