Chapter 10: 10. Marriage
"Issei!"
Rias broke into a run worriedly looking over her beloved servant. Issei is unconscious also suffering severe internal injuries.
"Ravel, get a one of the Phoenix Tears I have." Riser said.
"Onii-sama? But why would you offer your precious limited Phoenix Tears?" Ravel asks.
The supply for the Phoenix Tears are extremely limited and consumes time and resources. Every single one of them could save their lives in critical moments. Especially very useful in Rating Games.
"Hurry up and just do it."
"I understand."
Ravel left from the hall to retrieve the Phenex Tears stored in a secure box. She offered it to Riser.
Riser took it and gave it to Rias.
"Here, give it to him."
"Riser." Rias looked at Riser with mixed emotions. She just witnessed their battle earlier and certainly still holds a grudge against him for what he did. But she wasn't so ungrateful to hold it against him now.
"Why? Didn't you hate him?"
"Hmph, he's just a little brat who doesn't know his place. As his master you should be mindful of his education, lest he will drag down the Gremory name to the mud." Riser said. "Hyoudou Issei has a lot of potential. It would be a waste if the Devils lose someone like him."
Rias accepts his reasoning and accepted the Phoenix Tears.
"Thank you very much." Rias said from the depths of her heart.
After healing Issei with the Phoenix Tears, he was then sent away to the hospital. The members of the Occult Research Club looked at him worriedly.
"That was a splendid performance Riser. You have truly displayed your power to entertain the guest."
"No, it was my honor to abide by the Maou's wishes."
"As a reward for your victory, I shall grant your wish on supporting as a sponsor to you personally as Maou Lucifer."
"Thank you very much Sirzechs-sama. With your support there's no doubt I will bring more glory to the house of Gremory as the groom."
The devils around gave their applause. They were amazed on how the fight had gone.
Two middle aged man came to Riser. One of them has a blonde yellow hair with a handsome face quite similar to Riser. The other is a middle aged man with crimson hair that looks also very handsome.
"That was really impressive Riser. With this engagement will be really beneficial to the pure devils." Spoke the man with blonde hair. It was the Phenex Head, Riser's father.
"Thank you very much Father."
"We'll leave Rias on your care. We're looking forward to our cute pure blood grandchildren in the future."
"Yes Lord Gremory, I will do my best."
Riser was surrounded with all sorts of people giving him greetings and congratulations.
Meanwhile the Occult Research Club gathered around Rias who is sitting on a chair.
"It really is all over huh." The one who said that was Rias's Queen, Akeno.
"It's a complete defeat..." Koneko answered with emotionless voice.
"But still to think that Riser-sama possess such fearsome power, we never even stood a chance in the first place." Kiba said.
Rias was completely silent. All sorts of things come up to her mind.
"Rias, what are we going to do?" Akeno finally asked.
"...Just like I promised. I will marry Riser." Rias finally said it.
The other members were in silence after their master's answer. After all, they had witnessed her going against this engagement for years since they were still small. Now that all of that has ended, they felt that all of it finally ended.

The wedding preparations didn't take long enough.
Since the Gremory and Phenex Head were so eager for this marriage, they worked hard behind the scenes to accelerate the wedding preparations.
Three days later the huge hall is decorated grandly.
Riser is wearing a white tuxedo, and his hair carefully styled formally. His tall physique and devilishly handsome face made him look extremely attractive.
Beside him is a young lady with long crimson hair, Rias. Her wedding gown is so beautiful and grand, she looks like a goddess who set foot down on the mortal realm.
After the initial ritual for the wedding, they were now congratulated.
"You may now kiss the bride."
Rias turns her way to Riser. She looked slightly up because of height difference. With her eyes closed she was ready.
'My first kiss.' Rias's had slightly grown to adapt the mindset of a young maiden in Japan who valued their first kiss. And now she's finally going to give it away.
Riser arms wrapped around her waist bring their bodies closer to each other. His other hand gently holds Rias's delicate chin.
"I love you, Rias." Riser whispered and his lips drew closer and closer until they kissed.
It was not aggressive and passionate on what you would expect coming from a playboy like him, nor was it gentle and soft that caress them delicately like a refined gentleman. It was a kiss with deep emotions given to the woman he loves and the desire to care for her and protect her.
Rias's eyes with a face looking shock from the feelings Riser showed by his actions. His eyes showed genuine and pure emotions, Rias even doubted on what she witnessed. And when she didn't even realize it her eyes closed gently as her body subconsciously began to submit to Riser's arms. Rias responds to Riser's feelings.
The newly married couple's minds are only filled with each other with the absence of all distracting thoughts. It was pure romantic kiss.
Their kiss lasted for moment, but to them it felt like eternity. Their lips parted and they stared at each other's eyes.
'In Japan they say the first kiss tastes like lemon, it turned out to be true.' Rias silently thought as she blushed facing Riser's handsome face.
Maybe it was because of the chemicals released to the brain, that's why she had the taste in her mouth.
Rias really found that her first kiss is really romantic just like she had dreamt.
Everyone in the hall gave their applause and congratulations making the entire event happy and joyful.
