Chapter 17: The one with the Play
Phoebe: "I can't believe that we are really going to watch Joey play after such a long time, I hope he has truly improved his acting skills, if not, then I bet this play is going to suck"
Adam: "he is not going to suck, his acting skills have truly improved, who do you think taught him"
Adam and the others are currently seated in a theater waiting for Joey's play to begin which was what brought them here in the first place.
Rachel: "come on, it won't be that bad, would it?"
Chandler: "this is Joey we are talking about, I haven't seen his current skills after Adam's tutoring but one thing I know, is that Joey is a really terrible, terrible actor and that's coming from me, his best friend"
Rachel: "let's just see what would happen today, I bet we will all be surprised tonight"
Ross: "I really hope so"
With that they all waited for the play to start.
A few minutes later, the play began and Joey appeared on stage and everything went splendidly awesome, Joey played the character he portrayed so good as if that was his personal life stunning his friends especially Chandler and Phoebe.
Rachel: "see, I never for once doubted that he would not be able to pull it off, have some little faith in our friend"
Chandler: "Adam, what have you turned Joey into, this isn't the Joey I know"
Adam: "I can teach you if you also want, I think that's my specialty in the group"
They all laughed at that and continued watching the show till it ended.
Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap~Clap
The whole audience was in uproar as they all stood up and cheered for the splendid display of the play.
Rachel: "that's my friend there, Joey Tribianni, we go ways back, me and him"
Rachel shouted to the audience as she was truly happy for Joey who performed so well.
Chandler: "you and who go way back, again?"
Chandler asked Rachel while still clapping for Joey.
Rachel didn't answer and just continued cheering and clapping for Joey until the cast went off stage.
Phoebe: "I can't believe it, Joey truly pulled it off and it only took a few weeks of teaching from Adam and he became a pro. That's truly hard to believe, are you sure Joey wasn't hiding his true skill from us and Adam just managed to make him show it"
Adam: "come on Phoebe, are you doubting my capability, I can also teach you music if you like"
Phoebe: "how are you going to teach me what I already know how to do. This is it, this is what I am talking about, he didn't teach him but just made Joey show his skills"
Immediately Phoebe said that, the others all simply looked side ways and tried to avoid eye contact with Phoebe.
Adam: "I agree with you, you are a terrific singer but I can make you an even more terrific singer if you want"
Phoebe: "no thank you, I don't want you to tale credit for what I already know how to do"
Phoebe said with full confidence in her singing ability which made the others wonder where she got that confidence from.
Chandler: "hey, Ross, 10' O clock"
Ross: "more like 2' O clock"
Chandler: "sigh, there is a beautiful woman at 8, 9, 10' O clock"
Ross and Adam turned to there 10:00 where they saw a wan applying a make up on her face.
Adam knew her to be the woman with a very complicated love life. She has a husband and also a boyfriend and still let Chandler be her sexual partner and when she was still with Chandler, she still got another man in the already complicated relationship.
Adam: "forget about it, she is beautiful but I will have to tell you this, women like her are no good, they have a very complicated personality, I wouldn't go there if I were you"
Phoebe: "oh now, you are also a relationship counsellor, I bet in the next second you will say you are the one behind SMART"
Adam looked at Phoebe and just sighed as he suspected that she is currently in her seeing her period or she is just messing with him currently.
Monica: "Phoebe, I think you are making a mistake here, he is indeed the one behind SMART"
Phoebe: "oh really, oh really, you are going to take his side Monica"
Adam just told them to forget about it and just focus on other things as he knew Phoebe would just continue to argue with them non-stop when she starts like this.
Chandler: "so what are you saying? Should I go talk to her now or just forget it entirely?"
Phoebe: "I say, you go up there and talk to her, you can do it"
Chandler looked at the others to get their opinions as clearly, Phoebe is not in her right state of mind.
Rachel: "if you want to, I mean she is clearly beautiful and I would also approach her if I were you know, you"
Monica: "you do whatever you feel like, that's your call"
Ross: "go, if you don't I will have to go in your stead"
Adam: "do what you feel like doing, I don't care but I still stand by my word, this kind of women are really complicated to deal with"
After getting there approval, Chandler immediately went to meet the woman.
After Chandler left, Joey came out and met up with the group.
Joey: "so what do you think about the play, guys"
Rose: "I don't know what to say, Joey, you were truly, truly, truly.."
Joey: "oh come on, tell me, what's with the suspense, Ross"
Rachel: "oh God, I can't hold it back anymore, Joey, you are truly spectacular back there, the way you portrayed the character was very amazing"
Phoebe: "you were truly amazing back there"
Monica: "I know this is to early, but can I get your autograph?"
Joey: "awwn, you guys"
Ross: "you were really terrific tonight, Joey, I almost thought I didn't know you back there"
Joey was flustered as he hugged his friends.
Adam: "I think you are ready for the big leagues, you should look into this new show that's coming up really so, it's called days of our lives, you are going to like it"
Joey: "I will do just that, thanks buddy"
Adam: "no problem, you are welcome"
They exchanged small talks before Chandler came dancing.
Chandler: "well, I just got myself a date with the hot lady from before and she is Italian and her name is Aurora and she pronounces my name as 'Chandler'"
Chandler said while pronouncing his name just like the way Aurora does it.
Chandler: "by the way, you were amazing back there, buddy"
After complimenting him, they all left the theatre and went home, calling it a day.
