Chapter 36: High Sequence
Everything flew past quickly . All kinds of illusions shattered . He tore through the grayish-white fog and saw reality . He saw the table, curtains, and clothes rack in his room .
The next day, a Monday morning .
Klein, who had the day off, didn't leave home . Instead, he gave Melissa his letter directed to Mentor Cohen Quentin and more than enough money to buy stamps . He entrusted her with the job of mailing the letter at the post office near the Tingen Technical School where she studied .
After breakfast, he returned above the gray fog then with Dream divination he refreshed his memory as a Seer he can never forget many things but he needs to confirm. Then he writes everything on paper and analyze situation and confirm his theory that quill can't influence him.
After in real world, He slept for very briefly then eat some food. After coming into his room he made sure he was in an optimal state of mind as he prepared for the Tarot Gathering .
Locking his bedroom door once again, He nodded his head slightly and took out his pocket watch to confirm the time .
"It's already 2:58 . . . " Without further thought, Klein put away his pocket and entered Cogitation . Soon he chanted and took four steps counterclockwise to form a square .
He was reappearing at the Seat of Honor at the long bronze table with twenty-two high-back chairs .
Klein extended his right hand and formed an invisible connection, connecting him to the two familiar crimson stars .
On the roaring blue waves of the Sonia Sea, an ancient sailboat was sailing with the wind .
Alger Wilson locked himself in the captain's cabin and made ghost ship provide him the best protection .
He opened the pocket watch before him and laid it next to the brass sextant . The clock was ticking without joy as it exuded nervousness .
When the hour hand, minute hand, and second hand aligned, there was an explosion of crimson before Alger Wilson .
Backlund, Empress Borough .
Audrey lifted her dress as she quickly walked towards her bedroom. Audrey locked the door and sat by the side of her bed . She have to asked questions which she can't confirm in last meeting.
Above the gray fog, gigantic stone columns held up a majestic divine hall.
Two dark red blobs extended out into faint human figures by the side of the ancient mottled bronze table.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool." Augmented with a blurry effect, Audrey greeted him with a bow and smiled. "It is unfortunate that there is no wine here; otherwise, we could have a toast to your successful trial."
She was referring to the ritualistic magic.
Alger apologies for not doing ritual because of his crew members and he will do it after Gathering.
Klein was surrounded by the thick fog as usual. He pressed down with his right arm and spoke with his normal tone, replying as though it was natural.
"Great, this means that we are on the path of excellence. If you have any matters to tend to that leave you unable to attend the gathering on Mondays, conduct the ritual and inform me. All you have to do is change the line in the incantation 'I wish for a good dream' with the reason."
Audrey drew a deep breath and suddenly failed to maintain her Spectator state . She asked bashfully . If—and I'm saying if—a normal animal were to drink a Sequence 9 potion, what would happen?"
Klein was first dumbfounded because it happens again. He was screaming in his mind what are the plans do you have with a dog.
The Hanged Man, Alger, was obviously dumbfounded as well . He took a while to reply .
"Normal animals do not have the brains of humans . They wouldn't be able to learn Cogitation in a timely manner . Therefore, it would most likely lead to immediate death or a breakdown into a monster . However, if they survived the initial ingestion of the potion, they should become an extraordinary creature . If the potion has the ability to enhance their intelligence, they can even become smarter . "
"Alright . " Audrey breathed out a silent sigh and nodded.
She looked at The Hanged Man and organized her thoughts and think carefully i can wait sometime for psychologist alchemist to approach me."
The Hanged Man said with a low voice " Mr. Fool is there anyway to digest potion very quickly." Hanged Man grasp the principles of acting method but he wanted to attain a good situation in church which give him information on secrets strictly confidential by church.
Fool said "There is not many. But you can find chance for acting. And there are many high sequence you can act in advance it will reduce the chances of losing control and you will digest most of potion after taking it."
Hanged Man thought and said " if Mr. Fool is comfortable can you tell us high level potion name of Sailor pathway. And what is you want in return for it." He is not have many things for exchange but the name of potion is not very pricey.
Audrey also said " Yes Mr. Fool can you tell us the name of Spectator pathway high sequence name."
Fool said " Ok, but you can help my bless." Fool didn't say anything he just tapped on table and then in open space some name come to existence suddenly.
Audrey and Alger read them Spectator, Telepathist, Psychiatrist, Hypnotist, Dreamwalker, Manipulator, Dream Weaver, Discerner, Author. And Sailor, Folk of Rage, Seafarer, Wind-blessed, Ocean Songster, Cataclysmic Interrer, Sea King, Calamity, Thunder God.
Alger and Audrey read these name and remember them. Then they heard knocking. They turned their gaze.
Mr. Fool said "you can act in advance for most sequence or you can mix two roles and act then you can create your acting principles like in Spectator pathway main thing is manipulation and Spectator. You need to act in shadow for manipulation you can see other people doing work for you and they didn't even realize how and who done it either some high level Spectator come."
He didn't speak further because he speak much for them they can guess anything they want now.
Then Audrey spoke "Thank you Mr. Fool. What you want in return." After saying that justice realized her mistake.
She heard Mr. Fool "You can watch when the museum which stores Emperor Roselle things will open. And additionally something you will know in future."
