After making up his mind, Jude dialed the contact number of the technology company.
"Hello, is this Mr. Penderney?"
A feeble voice came from the other end of the phone: "This is Penderney; may I ask who's calling?"
"I am someone interested in your research. I heard that your company is facing bankruptcy and liquidation, and I want to discuss buying it. Can we talk about it?"

The Pampas Institute managed to secure its position mainly because it started early, back when the Queens area was not as expansive as it is now.
Arriving at the destination half an hour early, Jude got out of the sports car under the envious eyes of a few white coats and walked into the scientific research center building.
"Hello, sir, are you Bond Haytham?"
"Yes, I have an appointment with Mr. Penderney."
"Please wait."
A few minutes later, Jude was ushered into Penderney's office, where a man over 50 years old with a sad expression awaited. Seeing Jude, Penderney politely offered his hand.
"Meeting for the first time, hello, Mr. Haytham."
"Hello, Mr. Penderney. Although it is the first time we have met, I like to be honest; it seems that your situation is not very good."
At this time, the secretary brought a cup of coffee to Jude. Jude smiled at her and then took out a bottle of whiskey.
"Don't mind, personal hobby."
After sending the female secretary away, Penderney smiled bitterly and said, "The news about the Pampas Research Center can be found online, and it's all true. Indeed, with a few partners and I can no longer sustain it. We are seeking investment worldwide, but there is little hope. I am not as good at scientific research as they are, so I stayed to deal with the sale of the business."
