Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Ambush [2]
"Awuu~" growled the wolf as it felt its ear being cut off by Edward's sword this time around and it quickly turned around and glared at the young human with resentment in its eyes.
Edward smirked as he saw the wolf glare at him with resentment in its eyes.
He then walked over to the ear that was cut off and quickly picked it up. He then waved the ear at the wolf with a large smile plastered on his face as he attempted to make the wolf angry before the ear began to disintegrate into nothingness.
And he succeeded in making the wolf angry as it crouched down and growled loudly as it pounced at Edward with its fangs bared at him.
It was utterly ferocious this time around though.

[Wolf's Point of view]
'How dare this young human being cut off my tail !'
'And now he even dares to cut my ear off !'
'Not only that, but he even dares to flaunt it off in front of me !'
'He will pay with his life for daring to mess with me !'
'I will kill him !' thought the wolf in his head as it looked at the young human being who was waving its ear in his hand in front of it with a large smile plastered on his face.
It then crouched down as it growled loudly and then it pounced towards the young human being with its fangs bared.
It watched as the young human being stepped to the side managing to dodge its attack.
It then landed on the ground but before it could move it felt something cold pierce its neck as it moved through its neck.
Its eyes dilated as its vision turned blurry and eventually it turned into darkness as its life came to an end.
[End of Wolf's Point of view]

[Third person point of view]
Edward quickly dodged the, tailless and now also earless, wolf's attack by quickly stepping to the side.
He then raised his sword quickly and swung it with all of his might intending to finish off this troublesome wolf once and for all.
He struck the wolf's neck as soon as it landed onto the ground and quickly sliced through its neck bringing an end to the wolf's life.
The wolf's head slid and rolled across the ground after it detached from the wolf's body.
The body then also slid across the ground and fell onto the ground lifelessly and stopped a few metres away from Edward's body.
More blood sprayed from the wolf's body as neck was cut off and some of the blood managed to spray onto Edward's clothes.
Even more rare looking drop items appeared, next to Edward this time as the wolf had died next to him this time around.
The dead wolf's body and head started to disintegrate into nothingness after a few seconds, just like the bodies of its brothers/sisters before it.
The remaining three wolves got even more angered and simultaneously started to attack Edward.
The first wolf pounced at Edward with its fangs bared at him as it was ready to bite his head off of his shoulders.
But Edward was quick with his motions as he dodged the wolf's attack.
He quickly raised his sword to strike the wolf but before he could swing his sword, one of the wolves appeared behind him.
The wolf raised its paw into the air as it swung its paw towards Edward's exposed back.
The wolf clawed out Edward's exposed back as Edward was not able to dodge the wolf's attack.
Edward clutched his back with his other hand which was free and then he felt claw marks on his back as he started to feel pain from the open claw marks on his back.
Blood started to trickle down his back from the open cuts on his back which only fueled the wolves' determination to kill this young human boy in front of them.
The wolves then decided to work as a team and that they were going to attack Edward with their own combo attacks as their anger was no longer clouding their judgement.
The monsters that were located on [The Snowy Mountains Of Delmontria] and the monsters that were located in [The Dark Forest] were not only very powerful and combat efficient but they were also exceptionally intelligent and that is why they were regarded as dangerous beings.
The wolves began to circle around him as they were growling at the same time as if they were in sync.
The second wolf that had clawed out his back pounced at him with its fangs bared at him and with its paws raised as its claws shined brightly from the moon's rays hitting them.
The wolf's paws descended at a very fast pace intending to claw out his face.
Edward was about to dodge when he noticed the first wolf was charging at him with a lightning quick pace from his peripheral vision.
Edward quickly raised his sword to block the second wolf's paws that were descending at a very fast pace.
And soon after raising his sword, the wolf's paws struck the sword as the sword sunk into the wolf's paws.
After successfully blocking the second wolf's attack and also managing to cause some damage to the second wolf, Edward jumped up into the sky to dodge the first wolf's attack.
The accelerating wolf passed by underneath him as Edward jumped up into the sky.
As the wolf was running passed the place that Edward was standing initially, it looked up into the sky as it continued to run pass the second wolf only to see Edward grinning at it with a smug expression on his handsome face which caused the said wolf to glare at him with a vicious look in its eyes.
Edward then landed on the ground and crouched down to lessen the impact of his decent with a large smile on his face as he had managed to dodge both of the wolves' simultaneous attacks while being able to cause damage to one wolf and also managing to anger the other wolf.
He had figured out that it was dangerous to fight against these wolves when they had a clear head and when their decisions were not being clouded by their anger.
So he decided to get the wolves angry and riled up so that they would be able to make many slip ups when they were attacking him.
In this way it was easier for them to leave an opening for him so that he could exploit those openings and finally finish them off.
But Edward's victory and thoughts were cut short as the third wolf appeared behind him and then it raised its paw into the air.
It then swung its paw with its claws out and then it struck Edward's exposed neck managing to cut open his neck.
"Arghh !" screamed Edward as he felt pain eminating from his neck.
He then quickly stood up and moved away as he managed to dodge the third wolf's second attack.
Edward then moved his hand towards his neck and then he clutched his wound and hissed as he felt the pain eminating from his neck increase due to his touch.
He then quickly removed his hand away from the wound on his neck and then he looked at it.
Edward gasped as he saw the large amount of blood on his neck. The blood continued to flow down his neck as he kept on losing large amounts of blood by the second.
Edward then took off the t-shirt that he was wearing and then he ripped it apart to make a smaller cloth which he was going to use to cover the wound on his neck so that he could reduce the amount of blood that he was losing.
Edward quickly wrapped the torn piece of clothing around his neck in order to stop the amount of blood loss.
It seemed that in his moment of desperation, he had forgotten that he was on [The Snowy Mountains Of Delmontria] where the temperatures were beyond freezing point and where it snowed all year round.
Edward shivered as he felt the snow that was descending on the mountain touch his bare flesh.
"Awuu~"
The second wolf howled in agony as it placed both of its paws onto the snowy ground, clearly being very injured from Edward's attack.
It could not even stand on both of its front paws as they were heavily damaged and it felt a large amount of pain every time it tried to place its paws onto the snowy ground.
The cold snow mixed with the pain from the open cuts on its paws made it impossible for the wolf to stand.
The second wolf then proceeded to lay down onto the cold and snowy ground as it could not move without using all four of its paws.
The other two wolves glared at Edward with a vicious look in their eyes as they saw the miserable condition of their comrade.
Edward then looked at the third wolf with anger in his eyes as he had to sacrifice his t-shirt to cover up the wound on his neck which was caused by the said wolf.
He was now feeling terribly cold from the drastic temperatures on the snowy mountains and he blamed the third wolf for his suffering.
"I will wear your fur as my t-shirt !" said Edward as he glared at the third wolf with fierce eyes which only made the said wolf to glare back at him as it started to growl loudly at him.
