Chapter 18: 18-[Antz Queen: Elf Revenge]
The battle between the ants and tower climbers had become an intense gory scene, with the ants eating through the structure of the humans, however, the climbers' were still formidable.
Mages relentlessly gushed out flames from their palms, burning the red ants to shredders and the white ants proving to be formidable.
A particular climber leaped from the lithosphere and let out a battle cry in mid-air, lofting his axe he came down hard and impaled the head of a white ant that had little to no chance of escaping.
"Dieeeee"

The climber smiled staring at his axe covered in purple blood of the dead ant. "These damn monsters won't stop coming", yelled another climber.
Instantly receiving a response from one of the mages healing a climber. "We have to hold our stand here", he stared at the volcano and muttered "Long enough so Sir McConnell would destroy the mother box"
Overall, the climbers were doing a good job holding the line and not allowing a single ant to ascend the mountain.

Inside the interior components of the volcano, Levi and McConnell had killed the four ants guiding the box. However, the hidden ants were not coming out for some reason.
And overall, there were three holes big enough for a human to pass through.
"Shouldn't they be coming out?", asked Mika, the elf whose blade was covered in blood.
Levi glanced around the wide volcano-like cave, his eyes could see the holes but no signs of the ants. That's when McConnell smirked while staring at the floating box emitting a red photo beam.
"Don't", yelled Levi, implying the middle-aged climber shouldn't touch the box with his bare hands, else the likes of him would be dead.
Regardless of the warning, McConnell gave a facade of an innocent little child, he stretched his hands and as he thought.
"It's an illusion box", muttered McConnell.
His hands went through the box, and yes, he could see a similar expression between Levi and Mika, perplexity and surprise.
'Just how does he do that? Could it be he sees through illusions or has the affinity of-'
Redirecting Levi's thought was McConnell's palm that rested on Levi's shoulder with his usual calm smile. "The more you think about it, you'll get confused, I'll let you know soon enough"
"Ants are smart insects", Mika scoffed and turned to face one of the dark holes. "We can't tell which of these the box is in"
"Then let's give them what they're asking for", muttered Levi, getting a stare from Mika and McConnell.
"They want us to separate but we'll be expecting a surprise attack from them and if we get in the wrong hole together, we'd waste a lot of time"
Mika and McConnell gave Levi a similar nod, implying they should split up, this way they'd be able to cover more ground.
And with that, they all sauntered into the different holes that were beside them, lurking inside the darkness and nothingness in the cave.
McConnell docked in front of a huge dark golden steel door, without hesitation, he pushed it open, and purple flames etched on the walls all lit up the dark cave.
The peripheries of this cave were like an emptied ballroom with three extra huge holes, however, something was coming out of those holes after the moment of waiting.
Booom'
Three abnormal gigantic ants burst through the holes, erupting rocks to fly everywhere, unlike the huge ants outside, these were bigger than big, and the color wasn't red or white.
It was a gigantic golden ant with three glowing crimson hues staring at McConnell as an intruder.
However, Mr McConnell displayed no facade of fear, instead, his hands were engulfed in purple-black flames, as well as a similar aura encompassing his structure.
Without hesitation, Boom', the ant in front of him dashed towards him and screeched, followed by raising its thin leg to smash the middle-aged man.
Bam
But to no avail, the middle-aged man took the attack with his shoulder and the ground beneath his feet cracking the carved floor, also erupting dust alongside.
McConnell smiled and raised his palm which was covered in purple dark flames, similarly the golden and was been raised by an unseen force.
And with a quick gesture to the left, swish, Booom'. The ant was slammed against the left cave wall hard enough that it left a deep crater where it had its thin leg revealed its red blood.
The remaining two ants launched at him to finish the job the first ant failed to accomplish.

Meanwhile...
Dead red and white ants could be seen surrounding the straight cave Levi stood with his dagger dripping a purple blood liquor.
As he took a deliberate step forward, the aura of the environment changed from safe to dangerous.
Bam
Moving quickly, Levi was fast enough to turn around and block the attack from behind, his dagger connected with the blade of an elf with purple hair.
The attack somewhat moved both opponents four feet apart from each other.
Staring at the elf cladded in a dark suit, Levi raised an eyebrow and gave him the eyes of a sleepy child. "And you're supposed to be?"
Levi's question intensified the elf, angrily he bolted at Levi and slashed horizontally, prompting our MC to block the blade vertically.
"You bastard", yelled the elf, "you killed my family and race and now you'll paaaaay"
Booom'
Now, Levi smiled and both opponents dashed at themselves, once again, their weapons connected and shook the borders of the cave wall.
Precisely causing some dust and rock particles to fall from the cave's top.
"So you're the one trying to resurrect Bezant"
"Hehehe.. who's tryna resurrect him? I'm only lending a hand to the queen"
Boom'
The elf dashes again, but this time as he attained maximum terminus, he was out of sight and back in sight behind Levi and slashed out very fast.
Slash'.. Aargh
Although Levi was able to dodge but not completely, the blade severed his right shoulder and left a bleeding injury there.
Not to mention the part where the cut began forming dark veins, which added another layer of pain.

The notification gave Levi a heart skip, he held his shoulder gritting his teeth while looking at the elf who wore a sinister grin.
"Oh that's not all the Abilities she gave me alright", cackled the elf. "Simple, we want the same thing, you killed her king and so we want revenge"
Another System notification popped up.

As the elf's blade glowed blue, Levi knew that wasn't good, in a quick motion, Baam', the elf kicked a dead ant at Levi who dashed forward and slashed the ant apart.
But there was one problem, the elf vanished out of sight, this time he was invincible and there was an attack coming right behind Levi because he could sense one.
