Prologue

I was just a Chief Manager of the Inspection Office.

One day, my superior, the Minister, called me.

He gave me a job. I should have adamantly refused it.

"You will go to the academy and babysit a few important members of other kingdoms."

It was a hellish job.

"Fourth prince of our great Celestia empire, second prince of Albus Kingdom, third princess of Dalinnor Kingdom, Saintess of Holy Empire, third prince of Sevuri Kingdom, and the heiress of a duke of Neladrik kingdom."

Such a job was given to me. I convinced myself that it would be hard but not that much. Yes, they were important people, but they were still just a bunch of children that recently became adults.

I was confident to deal with them. As long as I learned their weaknesses with my Mind Reading, it would be as easy as killing a fly.

But what is this academy?

[Oh isn't this pretty famous NPC, Caelum Achard the Executioner, who can become both villain or helper according to the player's choices?]

'Huh? What is NPC? Who is this player?'

[Oh, shit why is he looking at me with that gaze? Oh fuck, according to the lore, Caelum Achard could read minds but he was just an NPC of the game, so it wasn't that obvious... But this is the reality now! What if he is reading my mind?]

'How the holy Mother!? How does he know my mind-reading ability?'

I was beyond shocked. There was someone who knew my mind-reading ability and called me something like NPC and Villain.

I didn't know what NPC was, but I knew what villain meant. I wasn't a villain but not a hero either. I was just a servant of the empire and believer of Mother, nothing more and nothing less.

'I should keep an eye on this guy, if I find him a threat, I will kill him.'

There was someone who knew my mind-reading ability. No one other than me and my goddess knew this ability.

So, I was ready to clean this boy up to keep my secret. After all, a secret wasn't a secret anymore when three people knew.

With that, I turned my eyes from this boy to the bleak-eyed girl with a very gloomy aura.

[Humanity is going to perish in about 20 years. There are many people I need to kill before they make a move on highly talented people. I should be careful of the Executioner and his strange information-gathering ability, and I need to recruit as many people as I can. It would be preferable to get the saintess, hero, and the Executioner on my side to maximize the chance of success. I don't know if I will regress one more time if I fail...]

'...'

My mind went blank with the information I got from two different people.

'Hero? Humanity's end? Regression? Like going back in time? Is that even possible?'

The academy job I thought of as easy was more troublesome than I thought.

Stumbling a transmigrator and a regressor on the same day.

At that time I didn't know I was going to meet another transmigrator and even a reincarnation.

What was going to happen to me, I didn't know. All I knew was that my new mission, which I thought was a vacation, was going to be far from peaceful.
