Chapter 49: Sabaody Archipelago
Max, after looking at all the information, turns to Maya and says, "As you can see, this sword is perfectly under my control now. From now on, your people won't have to worry about it."
"Can I hold it for a moment?" Maya asked after hearing Max's words.
Max nodded and passed her the sword.
Maya held the handle of the sword and closed her eyes after some time. She opens them and exclaims, "It's really no longer controlling my mind.".
"Thank you for helping my people get rid of this cursed sword." She thanked Max and returned the sword.
"Don't thank me; I only wanted the sword," Max shook his head and said.
Maya just smiled and didn't refute Max.
"Let's go back; our work here is done," Max said to his crew, who was watching all this from the side.
"Hey Max, can you teach me those sword techniques you performed earlier?" Ace quickly came to Max and asked him; Deuce also came to Max and said, "I would also like to learn them.".
Max chuckled and lightly tapped Ace and Deuce foreheads, transferring knowledge of dark Knight Art to both of them. Dark Knight Art can adapt to user elements; if Ace learns it, it will become Dark Flame Knight Art and Dark Ice Knight Art for Deuce.
Ace and Deuce stood dazed for a moment, then returned to normal and thanked Max. "Thank you, Captain."
When Max and others reached their ship, Saga called them, "Hey, please stop.".
"What happened?" Max asked, looking at Saga.
Saga came to Max and bowed his head and said, "Please teach me swordsmanship too.".
"I can't teach you; I passed them sword arts because they have the talent to learn them, but you don't," Max calmly refused and explained to Saga.
"Please teach me; I want to protect the people of this place, but I am too weak for that. You only came for swords, but what if someone strong like you came to harm this village? Please, I need power to protect my people." Saga fully dropped to his knees and pleaded with Max.
'System, will he receive any reward if I accept him?' Max asked the system, as Ace, Deuce, or Nojiko have their individual talents, so they received a corresponding template, but Max can't see any talent in Saga.
[He will, but the quality will be lower than others, and the host wouldn't receive any reward either for recruiting mediocre characters.]
'Well, I will just make an exception this time,' Max thought, looking at the desperate Saga.
"Okay, join my crew; train with us for some time," Max said to Saga.
"Thank you," Saga said, slammed his head on the ground, and went back to gather his stuff and say goodbye to his friends.
"His resolve and hard work will make up for his lack of talent," Bucky said to Max.
"How do you know?" Max asked.
"If he had talent, you would have accepted him right away." Bucky replied, smiling.
"Yes, he doesn't have talent, but I guess his resolve is something worth looking forward to; besides, I can just give him Super Soldier serum," Max replied.
"You already made it," Bucky asked, astonished.
"I have," Max chuckled and replied, 'I will just buy it from System Shop'. Inside his head.
"I am not surprised anymore," Bucky said, shaking his head.
Max and others then boarded their ship after Saga came back and started sailing towards their next destination.
On the ship, Max called Saga to his laboratory. "I will not teach you swordsmanship; you don't have talent for it," Max said to Saga.
"It's okay, I just want to become stronger; I don't mind any other way," Saga replied, gripping his sword and sighing.
"Hmm, go to Bucky and tell him to train you physically; I will call you once I acquire the devil fruit suitable for you." Max nodded and said to Saga.
After Saga left the room, Max took out the Ancient species Devil fruit he gained from system after Saga joined him,"It's too weak, I will convert it to Mythical Zoan then give it to Saga" Max mumbled, putting back the Spinosaurus fruit.
Max then used Jack's compass to know the direction of the Sabaody Archipelago, which is their next destination.
After a long sailing journey, they reached their destination.

Max and his gang from Deck exclaimed upon seeing the archipelago structure.
From a distance, they saw many large trees with big bubbles coming out of them. The archipelago looked like a big bubble generator from a distance. Max then docked the ship in the Groove 13 area. The archipelago consists of 79 separate trees; each tree has a number here, and Max's destination, Shakky's rip-off bar, is located on the 13th groove.
After departing the ship, Max said, "Angel, use an electromagnet field and kill anyone if they try to forcefully board the ship."
"Yes, sir," Angel responded, and a light screen covered the ship.
Max nodded and then led his crew to Shakky's bar.
After just a few moments of walking, they got surrounded by some pirates.
"You got some fine women; leave them, and I will let you go." A pirate with a hideous scar on his face said this to Bucky, thinking him to be the leader of the group.
"Kill him," Max said, and Bucky grabbed the neck of the pirate captain. The guy struggled, but Bucky easily snapped his neck, killing him.
"Damm it, attack them; we have a number advantage." A pirate lackey shouted, and others roared and started charging at Max and his group.
"Tier 5 spell: Death March." With Max's words, countless dark, shadowy swords attacked all the pirates, nailing them to the ground. The pirates struggled for some time and became quiet.
"Max, leave some of them for us too," Ace said, dissatisfied that Max had killed all of them.
Max didn't say anything and looked at his gain.
[Host gained 305 UP]
"Hmm, extract the devil's fruit from this guy." Max nodded and told System to extract the pirate captain's fruit. During his struggle, he tried to change into an animal, but Bucky killed him before he could. Now Max is extracting the fruit.
[Host gained White Wolf fruit]
"Hmm, a common species of fruit." Max nodded, and the group continued on their way.
While the others who were hiding in shadows seeing all this are also dead, Death March kills everyone with ill intention towards his caster.
Soon they reached Shakky's Rip-Off Bar. They encountered some more slave traders and pirate groups, but Max killed them all, earning another 400 UP.
*Ring*
"Welcome guest, what do you require?" A female voice asked the moment Max entered the bar.
"Rayleigh," Max said, sitting on one of the chairs near the counter.
"I don't know who he is. Would you like any drinks?"Shakky shook her head and asked Max calmly.
"He owes me a favor; just call him; I am not here for a fight," Max said while ordering the best wine.
"So, you are the one who spared Hachi and told him to tell me that I owe you a favor." A domineering voice sounded from behind the door near the counter.
The door opened, and an old man wearing glasses and a knife on his waist came out of it.
"Rayleigh right?" Max aksed.
"Yes, it's me. So, what do you want in return for the favor?" Rayleigh nodded, sat near Max, and asked.
"Just train them for 2 years," Max replied calmly, pointing at the group and sipping the wine.
"2 years of training, huh? Okay, it's easy, but give me some wine too." Rayleigh rubbed his chin and agreed.
Max nodded and gave 100 million bailey to Shakky, saying, "His drink money." Money is not a problem to him; he is going to earn a lot of them after leaving his crew at Rayleigh Care.
Sahkky took the money and nodded.
"What will you do?" Rayleigh asked, smiling.
"Clean the world," Max replied calmly.
Rayleigh laughed out loud upon hearing Max say, "Clean the world?" "I will be waiting for a clean world then," Rayleigh says, shaking his head, thinking Max is naive.
"He will be the one who trains you guys. He is Silver Rayleigh, Vice Captain of Gol D. Roger," Max didn't mind Rayleugh words and introduced Rayleigh to his crew.
"Vice Captain of the Pirate King" Deuce, Saga, and Nojiko exclaimed, Bucky and Felicia nodded, and Ace was staring at Rayleigh.
Max has already told his crew about this, so they are not surprised, as they are weak and need time and to become strong, Max told them he knows a perfect instructor but they got surprised that the instructor is Vice-Captain of the Pirate King.
Max then gave them some instruction and leaved his crew to Rayleigh care.
Coming out of the bar he mumbled " Let's turn the world upside down". And smiled calmly, His calm smile was like a silence before the storm
