"Are you joking right now, Reid?" I bristled still staring at him in surprise.

"It's because of your Ex, right… Xavier…" he scoffed "So, in one moronic move, you'd forsake the life you've built for yourself here and go back to the man that made your life a living hell! Have you lost your senses entirely?"

Running a hand over his hair, he shook his head in disbelief. "If you walk away from Noah because of a moment of pleasure and a little emotional sway from your ex-husband… I can guarantee you that you'd never rise above the miserable housewife you were meant to be and…"

"That's enough, Reid," I said coldly "I thought you'd be beside yourself with happiness. At least you'd finally have him all to yourself or have you forgotten. How much you hated that he married me?"
