After they met,

Kol speeds with her to the following town.

He instructs her on how to feed and explains that occasionally going hunting is preferable to a vampire losing their ability to think clearly.

"As all vampires are prone to bloodlust,

Those who don't kill or overindulge tend to lose rationality.

I was one of the two in the long history.

I wonder who had a semblance of rationality after my bloodlust overwhelmed me.

Pain was a stabiliser for it, but it was also the cause.

Anyway, I have witnessed it occasionally.

I hunt, find prey, and drink till they are dead.

I kill without mercy." Kol explained very pragmatically.

"We don't have to kill them, Kol."Caroline pleaded

"But, darling, you are saying this because you are young.

Once you live a century or two, you will understand.

You don't have to think about it for now.

Anyway, your argument comes down to principles.

Is it wrong in the same way for a lion to kill a gazelle?

We are the human race's predators.

but that does not imply I'm encouraging you to go on a rampage.

From what you have talked about your previous years' experience,

I can guess why you are still lingering in this town.

It's because you feel guilty, and these friends of yours use this guilt to make you do their work. Anyway, you can think about these things in your free time.

Come, I will show you how to feed without causing issues and how to find out if a human has consumed vervain."

Kol smiled slyly as he carried on teaching Caroline the finer points of feeding without hurting her.

"It's an art, darling.

The predator and victim are engaging in a dance.

It's not necessary to be an unremorseful killer."

With a gleam of enthusiasm in his eyes, he explained,

"Learn to savour the moment without losing control."

Caroline hesitated before answering, "But how do I know if someone has consumed vervain?"

She was still unsure about the concept.

Kol laughed. "Ah, the riddle of the vervain.

It's easy.

Simply see how your body responds as you approach.

There's probably vervain coursing through their veins if there's even the slightest hint of discomfort or avoidance.

It's an important ability to have, particularly in a community such as Mystic Falls."

Kol talked Caroline through the nuances of feeding sensibly as the evening went on.

stressing the necessity of striking a balance between their predatory tendencies and caution. "Remember that our purpose is not to cause havoc, my dear. "

His tone was unexpectedly serious as he said,

"We're here to enjoy the night without leaving a trail of destruction."

Kol walked Caroline back to her house after a night of teachings and experiences being exchanged.

He smiled and said,

"How about a nightcap at the Mikaelson mansion tomorrow? Who knows? Maybe you'll even get to meet the rest of the family as we carry on with our little tutorial.

Little Light, invitations to the Mikaelson manor don't come around very often."

Curious about the offer, Caroline couldn't help but smile and say, "Okay, Kol, tomorrow. But no more breaking pool sticks?"

"Deal, darling," Kol said, laughing and raising his hands in submission.

"I assure you that it will be a memorable evening."

Returning to Mystic Falls roads, Kol, recalling Damon, wore a mischievous grin.

Searching for Damon, Kol found him at the Mystic Grill.

The bustling atmosphere of the Mystic Grill, typically filled with lively chatter and clinking glasses, now held an undercurrent of tension as Kol's keen eyes scanned the room.

It was almost poetic, the way the flickering candlelight cast shadows over Damon Salvatore's face, seated at the bar, completely oblivious to the impending storm.

With a predatory grace, Kol approached Damon, moving through the crowd like a phantom.

He observed Damon for a while, amused by the false sense of security the vampire seemed to exude.

Patience was a virtue, and Kol, revelling in the anticipation, relished every moment of the impending confrontation.

As Damon finished his drink and rose from his stool, left the grill, and Kol followed once there was darkness

Kol seized the opportune moment. In a swift motion, he closed the distance between them.

Before Damon could react, Kol's hand snaked out, gripping the vampire's neck with a vise-like force.

The suddenness of the attack left Damon momentarily stunned.

In a display of supernatural strength, Kol effortlessly lifted Damon from the ground. T. With a sinister smile, Kol's eyes bore into Damon's, a malevolent expression dancing in their depths.

Breaking the eerie silence, Kol's voice cut through, low and dangerous

"Damon, my friend, I hoped you'd remember me."

The words carried a weight of ominous intent, signalling the beginning of a reckoning that Damon couldn't escape.

With calculated precision, Kol snapped Damon's neck, Unfazed, Kol disappeared with Damon's unconscious form.

Back at the Mikaelson mansion,

Kol descended into the depths of the dungeon,

dragging Damon with him.

The dungeon,

became the stage for Mikaelson's brand of justice.

Damon, now revived but confined and defenceless, found himself facing Kol, whose malevolent expression hinted at the torment to come.

Kol swirled around the shackled and defenceless Damon in the Mikaelson prison, a cruel gleam in his eyes.

"Damon, my friend, I hope you remember me."

With narrowed eyes, Damon forced a strained laugh. "Well, this is a fun reunion."

Kol explored the gory customs of the 1500s and 1600s, each more horrific than the previous, ignoring Damon's effort at humour.

"How about we go back and relive the exquisite anatomical tortures of the past?

Not to mention the notorious Blood Eagle of my people,

the Pear of Anguish, and the Judas Cradle. Ah, the inventiveness of people in those days."

Kol paused, his expression turning more serious.

"Now, Damon, let's talk about Caroline. What compulsions did you place on her?"

When Damon remained silent, Kol began the torturous procedures, each methodically applied with cruel precision.

After a while, Kol, unsatisfied with Damon's lack of cooperation, started the blood eagle while methodically breaking his ribs. "Damon, my patience is wearing thin. What did you do to Caroline?"

Damon, gritting his teeth, finally spoke, "Alright, alright! Compulsions... I made her fear my vampire face, turned her into my plaything, stripped her ability to say no, ensured she smiled while I attacked her, concealed her scars, and told her she was always going to be just a shallow neurotic twit."

Kol, expressionless,

compelled Damon to keep smiling, his face betraying pain while every nerve ending screamed in agony.

"You seem to find joy in others' suffering, Damon. Let's see how well you can keep up that charming façade."

As the night wore on, Kol continued to extract the dark details of Damon's actions against Caroline, each revelation punctuated by the increasing torment inflicted upon the captive vampire.

The dungeon echoed with the perverse melody of vengeance, a symphony of pain orchestrated by the vengeful hands of the Mikaelson brother.

When the night reached its ghastly crescendo, Kol, with a sinister smile,

compelled Damon to keep smiling, the pain etched on his tortured face.

The dungeon fell silent, save for the muffled cries of a vampire ensnared in the repercussions of his own malevolence.

After ensuring that Kol wouldn't be healed from the blood eagle, Kol headed to his room. he was lost in thought

'That was a very cathartic endeavour.

I will release him with the invitation to the ball.

Now let's go and make those gifts for Caroline and Rebekah.

I need to bribe Bekah with something to take Caroline under her wing;

she will be the best influence for Caroline. Perhaps I should invite Katerina;

she will be family anyway.'
