For the sake of future entertainment, Sadao was extremely diligent in investigating computer components. Even when Utaha called him, wanting to chat with him, he just casually responded.

In Sadao's view, the competition between women and games would inevitably have the game as the winner.

Utaha felt helpless about Sadao's reaction. He was truly a stubborn straight shooter!

"Meow—"

Just then, a clear meow echoed.

"A cat?" Utaha was stunned. He had a cat?

Sadao could ignore Utaha Kasumigaoka's calls, but when it came to "Ruri," the newly adopted little cat, he paid attention. Hearing its meow, he finally shifted his gaze away from the computer screen. "What's wrong, Ruri?"

After a few meows, "Ruri" licked its little paw.

Seeing its still somewhat dirty appearance, Sadao immediately understood its intention. After muttering to himself, "I did neglect her a bit," he asked, "Do you want to take a bath?"

"Meow!" With these words, "Ruri" humanly nodded towards him.

"This... " Watching this scene, Utaha was shocked. Where did this cat come from? It's too human-like... By the way, can this cat understand human words?

"Quite surprised, huh? I encountered her when I went out shopping tonight. If she didn't tug at my pants, I wouldn't have thought there could be such a human-like cat in this world... " Sadao seemed somewhat proud as he continued, "She knows to stay obediently by my side when I'm busy. She can even distinguish the quality of cat food."

"Are you sure this is a cat!?" After listening to him, Utaha was even more astonished. How could there be such a human-like cat in the world? Could it be a monster in disguise?

"What else could it be if not a cat?" Sadao countered. "Which eye of yours saw that 'Ruri' is not a cat?"

Without a doubt, "Ruri" was just a cat. Her soft fur and the tender little meatballs on her paws fully proved that.

"But... how is this possible..." Utaha still found it hard to believe. This cat was too peculiar.

"Seeing is believing!" Being someone who had actually experienced crossing worlds, Sadao had a much higher acceptance level for such things than Utaha Kasumigaoka.

Ignoring her, Sadao picked up "Ruri" and walked towards the bathroom. It was time to wash away the dirt from her body.

Utaha shook her head secretly. Although it was true that things were as he described, it was still quite shocking. Only someone as peculiar as him could accept it so quickly.

...

Bathing a kitten was not a simple matter—or at least, that's how others described it. However, when he personally experienced it, Sadao found that the situation was not as others said. From start to finish, "Ruri" was quite cooperative with him cleaning her body. To the point where, in the end, Sadao even had the thought that he was washing an "inanimate object" instead of giving "Ruri" a bath.

As "Ruri" was willing to cooperate, the bath went smoothly.

After drying her thin body with a newly bought hairdryer, Sadao carried her back to the computer.

Seeing him, Utaha, who had a bored expression just a moment ago, brightened her eyes. "You finished washing so quickly?"

"Ruri" is not an ordinary cat; it's not normal for a cat to bathe so quickly, right?" After all, the reason why giving a cat a bath was a troublesome and time-consuming task was mainly due to the cat's random struggles. "Ruri," understanding human nature, naturally wouldn't cause trouble.

"By the way, aren't you bored staying here, Utaha-senpai? Is it worth it for a late-night snack?"

Sadao is well aware of his own culinary skills, but is it really necessary to persist to this extent for a late-night snack?

"Do you think your cooking isn't worth the effort?" Utaha was initially puzzled, then smiled, "Kohai-kun, perhaps you don't realize how outstanding your culinary skills are. Your cooking is undoubtedly the most delicious I've ever had... To be honest, even now, I can't understand why you, such a talented chef, would drop out of Totsuki Academy. It's truly absurd... " She shook her head, "No, saying that the globally renowned culinary academy is all reputation and no substance isn't an exaggeration."

Sadao twitched his mouth. Although there were many unreasonable aspects to Totsuki Academy's rules and regulations, he felt that Utaha was underestimating Totsuki Academy.

"Don't spread such jokes around; I don't want to invite unnecessary trouble..." Sadao shook his head. He wouldn't fear a culinary showdown, as long as there were no restrictions on the dishes. However, engaging in a culinary duel held no significance for him at the moment. Losing would be embarrassing, and winning would attract attention—neither result was what he wanted.

"By the way, can't you chat with me a bit more? After all, I am a beautiful girl. Chatting with me won't be a loss for you, right?" Seeing him about to sit back in front of the computer, the bored Utaha couldn't sit still. She didn't want to sit here foolishly waiting for a late-night snack. In any case, she had to chat with him.

"I'm going to change my computer. I'm currently investigating the market trends!" Sadao glanced at her. Did she think he had nothing to do?

"I can help you with that!" Hearing him, Utaha became interested. "...Don't be fooled by my appearance; I'm quite knowledgeable in this area."

"Alright, then tell me the details..." Sadao, not completely unreceptive, decided to listen to her opinions.

"What type of computer do you want to switch to? Work-related or gaming?"

"A gaming computer that can handle all the games on the market!" Sadao gave a straightforward answer.

"The price of such computers is not low. You..." Utaha showed a worried expression, but Sadao was dismissive. "Senpai, don't tell me you really think I have no savings. With my culinary skills, do you think I could possibly be short of money?"

"Then you...?" When she thought about it carefully, wasn't it indeed the case? However, this only left her even more puzzled. Why would he open such a peculiar shop?

"I retired; now I'm just enjoying my leisure. This shop is just for fun."

After receiving this answer, Utaha Kasumigaoka was at a loss for words. Did she hear it correctly just now? Retired!?
