Chapter 8: Dumbledore

<Letter>

Dated-Third of September 1991

To Abefroth Dumbledore, Lord of the Dumbledore family

Gringotts bank

Griphook, Dumbledore's teller

It is to be informed that an unregistered heir of the house had made a withdrawal of 10,000 galleons from the Dumbledore trust vault, also taking the heir ring with him, which was later recovered from Knockturn Alley in the pawn shop.

A sum of 9200 galleons was deducted from Dumbledore's main vault to recover the heir ring

<Letter/>

Aberfroth was honestly baffled at the letter...

19200 galleons gone? Wait... that's not the important bit.

Heir?

Albus did not have any son... or daughter for that matter... or any intention or orientation to have such progeny.

He himself had one woman in his life, and that had caused him a great deal of pain. He had a son, Aurelius, or Credence but due to his neglect, or the fact he did not know Credence existed, subjected the father-late-son duo to pain.

Credence had grown into an Obscurus, a phenomenon where a magical child seals away or suppresses his or her magic, with negative emotions in the mix.

And Obscurus were showing a lot more than it was to be expected in the Dumbledore family, or the magical world as a whole.

Ariana... then Aurelius...

The Dumbledore family was to be extinct, but an heir? Aurelius's kid? His grandson?

Should he contact Dumbledore?- He was a Dumbledore but the only Dumbledore in the world was Albus and should be Albus because exile suited Aberfroth the most.

'No'

He won't contact Albus for this. His youngest was too deeply delved into the greater good scheme of his. Aberfroth was sure if by some means this heir opposed Albus or worse, was helpful in the grand scheme of things, Albus wouldn't think twice about using him.

Not kill, but he sure would not let him reign free in his own life.

Aberfroth took some floor powder in his hand to light up the fire.

"Gringotts bank Diagon Alley."

28th September 1991

"Welcome to the fourth staff meeting of the term!"

"Does he always do that?" Eren asked Minerva, who had opened up quite a bit after their regular meetings.

Minerva was one of the few staff members who were regular to the library. The restricted section was all about advancements to their subjects to the point the initial was not visible. Eren later found out that she was researching to complete her post-mastery in Animal Transfiguration and Animagus.

It was a thing you do after the mastery of a subject as a core, and the post-mastery was done on a very particular and specific part of the subject, taking usually five months to as long as decades in the endeavour.

So the restricted section was always open to them, and Eren found some solace in taking his own reading "hobby" into exploring the restricted sections of the library.

"He does, it started as a dare, but he does not know that," Minerva commented how Flitwick was to always shout at the beginning of the meeting, telling them how many weeks it has been since the first.

"Well let's first start with the usual report on the first years... Any change since the previous week?" The headmaster took the lead in asking.

"Well Miss Granger is at it as usual, it won't be long before she receives her first moniker." Flitwick was the first one to inform.

"For good reasons, yes?"

"The library is a second dorm to her, she is a strict kid. I don't think she did as much as sneak a glance at the restricted area or fold a page of any of the books."

"It's good students are serious in their studies at this time of the year," Minerva said, beaming with pride.

"I do not think it is a good thing for her. She is being isolated, bad things happen to those who delve into the company of themselves as kids." The same Minerva nodded as she heard of Eren's point.

Albus shrugged on the matter, continuing some input on the saviour of the magical Britain.

"And what of Mr. Potter? Is he adjusting nicely?"

"He is the image of his father. Caught for flying away on the first of his lessons, and rewarded with a house seeker position. Filch is currently seeing to his punishment for his nightly after-curfew escapades."

"I remember you and your friends indulged in similar escapades, Severus."

"You remember incorrectly." Severus grimaced.

"And what of you, Eren? Is the library treating you well?"

"Better than I imagined. It is peaceful there."

"Pomona?"

"Well, I found a first-year prodigy too. Another of your lions Minerva, Longbottom is a natural when it comes to herbology, the plants sing at the sight of him."

"His talent there outshines his other talents it seems," Flitwick interjected.

"Severus?"

"My Slytherins have been regular and mannerly while performing the art of potioneering, I cannot say about the rest, not much time has been since I had to get another batch of cauldrons."

"Well it's Halloween in a few days, It-" Suddenly Albus found a niffler, climbing his jewels to his core.

"Oh sorry, he is an independent one," Eren said as the niffler was stuck and fell, only to find him on a diamond slide, riding into Eren's pocket.

"Was that a rat in the staff office, Mr. Yeager." Snape's voice was raising itself at every syllable of his sentence, while others were still surprised at the quality of the transfiguration, incantation less, wandless and disappeared without a trace.

"A niffler, I am working on teaching him some mannerisms."

Dumbledore was still gathering his thoughts because it had been the fifth time his Deathstick had reacted to Eren, which constituted all of his meetings with the young boy.

'I need to view his relation to the Peverells... and to Tom.'

"You will have no such creature when-"

"It would be appreciated if to keep pets to yourself, Eren." Albus stopped Severus' shouting.

"He will behave, headmaster."

"Now where were we...

[A/N It was established that Tom was related to Cadmus Peverell and Dumbledore knew of this, canonically.]
