The guy in the car immediately sensed what was going on and got down from the car but by the time he got down, she had already taken to her heels and dashed into the building.

He did not give chase but went to his partner to see how he was doing. He was knocked down cold.

Jane hid in a place for a while, fearing that there were more of them who would want to chase after her.

'Alexa, what sort of lunatic did you get yourself involved in?' She wondered and greatly pitied Alexa. She was really going through a lot.

Suddenly, the door of the basement she was hiding in opened and she saw Maxwell. She recognized him to be one of Raymond's people and got up.

"There you are." He said. "You hid quite well. It took me a while to find you."

"But you did in the end." She answered and got out, checking both sides to see if there was any pursuing personnel.
