Krystian, full of excitement, mindlessly spammed the ability to stop time. However, he did not think through many key issues in this action. First of all, this car belonged to Gizmo, one of DC's lesser known Geniuses. It is highly probable that the car has something in its equipment that will allow the rightful owner to track the car.
The second significant mistake was using skills while driving a truck. The truth is that it is incredibly fun and convenient because not only do you not have to worry about other cars and people, but there is also the joy of admiring the city frozen in time.
It was a mistake to perform such an action with the power limited to one minute. Every minute and a few seconds, a ghost truck appeared on many cameras. And with multiple cameras, it's not difficult for a character like Dick Grayson or anyone tech-savvy enough to hack into the camera system to track down a truck that appears so irregularly.
Meanwhile at the Bank
After the Gizmo grenade was exposed, the explosion caused part of the ceiling above the entrance to be destroyed, and some of the debris literally covered the main entrance. Gizmo and See-more were within the range of impact, but as a result of the explosion they were covered with a layer of dust and both landed flat on the ground due to the exposure.
(Gizmo)-What the hell is this?
Said the little scientist as his mechanical arms, their structure damaged by fragments of debris, pick up Gizmo's small bodies. He rubs his temples with his small arms and then looks towards the front door. Where he had seen a truck parked moments earlier.
See-more and Bill, although outraged by the truck's disappearance, now focused more on Jinx. Which a second earlier had let out a pleasing moan.
Jinx, noticing the unpleasant look of two of her companions, after adjusting her clothes, which, as she checked, were not in the right position on her body. The part of her tights on her butt had been rolled up and her panties were slightly lowered, revealing the upper part of her buttocks. Fortunately, her dress hid her sensitive parts from the view of nearby people, so she quickly adjusted her clothes. Her face turned into pure anger as the image of a man wearing a plague doctor mask flashed into her mind.
Generating pink energy in her hands, Jinx was already speculating who they might be dealing with. The very fact of using a grenade near the hostages, according to her, meant that they were not dealing with a hero. And due to the fact that their opponent suddenly appeared in her field of vision and her body was violated. She concluded that the masked guy might be a speedster. However, her anger only allowed her to go so far, and she fired a beam of energy right above See-more and Gizmo's heads. Then she told her colleagues.
(Jinx)-Take one bag at a time and we'll leave, the Titans will be here soon and we need to track down that masked bastard.
10 minutes after H.I.V.E escapes and 15 minutes after the Titans arrive.
In the mentioned bank we can see several newly arrived Teen Titans. Currently, Star Fire and BeastBoy are in the process of solving the hostages, who, in their already calm state, are smilingly accepting help from the two heroes.
The untying process is quite simple - untying the knot and then receiving a gesture of thanks from the hostage. However, when StarFire approaches the last hostage, she is the only one who does not show calm and enthusiasm like the previously freed hostages. Starfire senses a slight apprehension towards the older woman, who is currently crouching against the wall, with her back to the center of the bank.
(StarFire)-Miss. I am a Hero, StarFire. Please. Could I untie your bonds?
The situation that followed was truly terrifying for the innocent StarFire. An elderly woman wearing a brown coat and a colorful scarf covering most of her hair. Whose hands should theoretically be tied. Suddenly jumping on bound legs, with free hands, from the right hand of which the cut ropes were still hanging. She jumped up and gave the young heroine a big hug. The woman was clearly having a panic attack and was screaming in a panicked voice for StarFire to save her from what she called "Baba Yaga".
(StarFire)-Don't worry, you're safe.
(Old Lady)-No..No...Baba Yaga....retun...Help me....girl...please....
BeastBoy, a small green cat, ran up to Starfire and the terrified woman, jumping on Star's frame and talking to the terrified woman.
(BeastBoy)-Take it easy, Grandma. I am one of the strongest heroes. When Baba Yaga comes here, he will easily beat them with his Gorilla Fists.
Beastboy, mid-sentence, jumped off Star's shoulder and turned into a gorilla to swing his fists in the second half of the sentence. The woman smiled at this slightly funny spectacle.
Moments later, the woman, despite her voice still breaking, tried to tell the story of the events that had taken place several minutes earlier. However, despite her angelic patience, Star understood little of the woman's description and the creature she called "Baba Yaga".
After a while, Star and Beast Boy joined the other three heroes who were currently viewing the surveillance cameras.
In front of the monitor controlling the cameras, sat Dick Grayson aka Robin, who is trying hard to analyze the recording. On his right, Raven is closely watching the recording, but when she sees Krystian thoughtlessly throwing a grenade, she feels a bit of disgust and fear of the potential damage that could have occurred. On the left stands an impatient Kid Flash who is trying to look at the footage frame by frame to see if it is a speedster or some form of teleportation.
(Robin)-What do you think Willy?
(KId Flash)-I don't know. Even after watching the video, the guy just appears. There's nothing on this recording. He is there and he appears. Maybe if I saw him with my own eyes and then accelerated, I would be able to see something. This camera is weak and cheap, obviously. We won't learn anything from this. We should start looking for the H.I.V.E. truck with this new guy, as well as this criminal team itself.
Meanwhile, 10 minutes after escaping from the Bank
Krystian, on his way to the edge of the city, stopped at a grocery store in the center. He made a lot of purchases and then went on a further journey. And after a noticeable 30 minutes for Krystian, he reached the edge of the city where he discovered an abandoned single-family house with a garage. The house looked like a haunted mansion, but having no better idea, he parked the truck in the car and started exploring the terrifying house, not thinking about the problems he had prepared for himself on his first day in the new world.
