Chapter 105: Mahito's Domain: With this treasure, I summon...

Gojo and Nanami are sitting on the sofa, waiting for Yuji to arrive. Gojo is bored out of his mind while Nanami is reading a newspaper.

Gojo: Nanami, talk about something interesting.

Gojo blurts out, acting like a child in a waiting room. Nanami just sighs to himself, not even wanting to entertain him.

Gojo: Okay, I've got it! Let's play catch with discarded rice balls while discussing the separation of church and state! Let's post a video of it and troll people.

Gojo exclaims.

Nanami: Enjoy that on your own.

Nanami responds in a monotone voice.

Nanami: (In thought) What kind of idea is that?

Nanami thought to himself.

Gojo: Drinking game time! Name things you love about Gojo Satoru! Everything!

Gojo exclaims, clapping.

Nanami: Please keep that attitude going. Itadori-kun needs that kind of idiocy right now.

Nanami states.

Gojo: That wasn't what I meant by "Harder," though. I wish Zaegar was here he's fun.

Gojo mumbles to himself.

Gojo: Nanami, does Yuji know about that finger in Yoshino's-

Gojo asked just as he was cut off.

Nanami: I haven't told him. Knowing him, he'd just feel unnecessarily responsible.

Nanami reveals.

Gojo: I'm glad I left you in charge.

Gojo says.

Gojo: And the finger?

Gojo asks.

Nanami: I submitted it to the higher-ups, of course. If I gave it to you, you'd just feed it to Itadori-kun, right?

Nanami answers. Gojo slightly pouted at this.

Nanami: But is it really okay to bring him back? If the fact that he's alive becomes known at the exchange event, won't the higher-ups just target him again?

Nanami asks.

Gojo: Even if they do, Yuji will be just fine now. You know that better than anyone, don't you?

Gojo replies.

Yuji is running towards the room, shouting out and grabbing the attention of the two men sitting before him. Finally, after two agonizing months, he can finally see his friends.

Yuji: Sensei! who's this?

Gojo: This is Nanami, a Grade 1 Sorcerer. Originally a businessman, trust him to show you the true essence of Jujutsu practically.

Yuji: Nice. Why did you become a Jujutsu Sorcerer?

Nanami: After graduating from Jujutsu High and joining a business, I realized working was stupidly pointless. Jujutsu Sorcerers were stupid too. So, I picked the more bearable option.

Timeskip

Yuji: Residuals? I can't even see them though.

Yuji grumbled, moving purposefully down the cinema hallway alongside Nanami.

Yuji: (In thought) This place is getting on my nerves. I just want to take down a couple of these "Residuals" and get out. And it smells bad, too.

Nanami shot him a sidelong glance, a look that made Yuji feel like an ignorant child—a kid in need of help, someone who had yet to grasp the true nature and psychology of the cursed spirits they were up against.

Nanami unsheathed his short blunt sword and pointed it squarely at Yuji.

Yuji instinctively threw up his hands in a defensive gesture, but Nanami's expression remained stern—a serious businessman focused solely on getting the job done.

Nanami: Look more closely. You're not looking; that's why you can't see them

Nanami instructed.

Yuji: But I am.

Nanami: Well, look harder.

As Yuji squinted his eyes, straining to perceive what eluded him, at first, there was nothing. Then, footprints materialized on the ground. It wasn't just the discovery itself that tensed him; it was the realization that these footprints extended not only on the floor but also scaled the walls.

Advancing cautiously, the duo encountered another residual.

Nanami: Stay back and watch.

Nanami commanded, swiftly dashing forward. With a precise and effective slice between the joints of the creature's limbs, Nanami dispatched it effortlessly.

Yuji frowned. He needed to become stronger. He clenched his fists.

Reaching the staircase, they started sprinting upward, Yuji closely following Nanami's lead. Nanami abruptly turned around and issued a warning:

Nanami: Watch your back!

Yuji pivoted just in time to block a punch from a charging residual. The impact pushed him upwards, but Nanami swiftly caught him and held him steady.

Nanami: Remember what Gojo told you.

Nanami reminded.

As a residual crawled up the staircase, its six limbs moving with an eerie fluidity, and its long tongue sticking out, Yuji harnessed the cursed energy in his fist. With a powerful shout, he unleashed...

Yuji: DIVERGENT FIST.

Yuji's punch shattered the residual's head into oblivion, a satisfying explosion of power.

Following Nanami up the stairs, he witnessed Nanami's swift kick, forcefully opening the door. Outside, rain poured heavily, and their surroundings teemed with residuals from all directions.

Yuji: (In thought) Gotta stay sharp in this downpour.

(Flashback)

Gojo: You see. That's the problem: your speed. Due to your speed, the cursed energy you're trying to utilize can't keep up. Ironically, it's also your biggest asset, because right after one of your punches makes contact, the cursed energy comes charging in.

Yuji: Does that mean that one strike—

Gojo: Can equal two blows...

(End Of Flashback)

As he dodged an incoming residual's attack, he jabbed its face, triggering a spectacular explosion.

Yuji: (In thought) Gotcha!

Another residual dashed at Yuji, but Yuji maneuvered from the right, then the left—he danced through the onslaught. He then landed a devastating blow, creating a large hole in the residual's chest, a swift victory.

Yuji: (In thought) These guys are a breeze compared to cursed spirits.

Regaining his composure, Yuji marveled as Nanami readied his blunt sword.

Yuji: (In thought) Cutting them with that thing? Unreal!

Nanami explained his technique:

Nanami: Keep your eyes open, Yuji. My cursed technique moves shine when facing tough enemies—I study their every move and find the spots where they break. Once I got that, it was smooth and brutal, like ink on paper. No escape, no mercy.

The next residual charged, and Nanami did the same. Limbs were sliced off in a clean sweep, and Yuji's eyes widened.

Yuji: (In thought) He's a Grade 1 for a reason...

Waiting for the residuals to vanish, nothing happened.

Yuji: Uh...Nanami-sensei...why aren't they disappearing?

 he asked, rubbing his chin.

Instead of words, Nanami snapped a photo of a residual limb. Through the lens, what seemed a cursed spirit transformed into a human body part.

Nanami: These aren't residuals...a sorcerer was involved in this mess...they're humans...

Nanami said.

Timeskip

Yuji and Nanami occupied the hotel lobby, absorbing the words of Doctor Shoko conveyed through the phone.

The creatures they had recently battled were once human, however, these beings were not pure in their humanity; their cursed energy had been twisted, presenting a distorted version of their true selves.

This led Yuji to believe that Nanami's hypothesis might've been correct: a sorcerer had to have been involved, but who was it?

Yuji heard the main entrance of the hotel door open and turned around: it was Zaegar with a tired Yhwach.

Zaegar: Wassup bitch do ya know where the restroom is? We just ate from Taco Bell.

Yuji: Yhwach-sensei Zaegar!

Yuji screamed as he got up from the couch. He gave Yhwach a big hug, and Yhwach didn't resist. After all, he was a child.

Yhwach: (In thought) He's gotten stronger. Interesting.

Yuji: You have no idea the training torture Gojo Sensei put me through, but it was worth it! How are the others?

Yuji asked.

Zaegar: Fuck the others just fucking tell me where the fuck the bathroom is before I claw your eyes out.

Zaegar said while close to vomiting at the doorstep.

As Yuji continued to chatter excitedly about his training with Gojo Sensei, Ginjo chuckled softly from within Yhwach's mind, amused by Zaegar's misfortune.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, it seems like Zaegar had a rough time with Taco Bell. I did warn him about their food.

Zaegar shot a glare toward Ginjo from their mental link, his expression a mix of annoyance and frustration.

Zaegar: (Mental Link) Shut up, Ginjo! You're the one who suggested it in the first place. Besides, it's not my fault their food is so damn spicy!

Zaegar's voice echoed in Ginjo's mind, filled with irritation and indignation.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Alright, alright, calm down. No need to get all worked up about it.

Ginjo's tone was calm and collected, his amusement evident in his voice as he continued to tease Zaegar.

Meanwhile, Yuji turned to Yhwach with a concerned expression, noticing the hollow's silence amidst the commotion.

Yuji: Yhwach-sensei, are you alright? You seem a bit quiet.

Yhwach's gaze shifted from Yuji to Zaegar, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.

Yhwach: I'm fine, Yuji. Just glad to see you're doing well. And Zaegar... well, he'll recover soon enough.

Zaegar groaned in response, clutching his stomach as he stumbled towards the direction of the restroom, muttering curses under his breath.

Zaegar: Stupid fucking Taco Bell... never again... OI bitchboy fucking tell me already!

Yuji: Just down the hall, you can't miss it.

Yuji said.

Zaegar nodded and flew towards the direction of the hall. meanwhile, a man in a suit asked Yhwach a question.

Nanami: Gojo has told me all about you—the Special Grade sorcerer with no cursed energy. How did you find our location anyway?

The man asked.

Yhwach: I ran.

Nanami: What?

Scene Break

Mahito had remembered Junpei's response when he had asked him the question not so long ago. It seemed like Junpei didn't understand the gravity of the situation that he was getting himself into.

Whatever...he would make good use of him when he didn't need him, but now, it seems like Junpei could be a perfect tool to lure in Yuji Itadori.

Junpei: What do you do in this place, if you don't mind that I ask?

Junpei said, looking around.

They were in the sewers after all, and Mahito, relaxing in the hammock he made, had already gotten used to the smell—Junpei obviously didn't.

Mahito: Nothing too much, really, just a couple of experiments here and there. Do you have an answer to my question yet?

Mahito asked.

Junpei froze in thought, then proceeded to say.

Junpei: Yes, I guess I do value my soul. Why do you ask?

Mahito: You can do whatever the fuck you want in this life, Junpei. People will tell you that you're stupid, weak, selfish, annoying, evil, or even a coward, but at the end of the day, all of our physical bodies return to dust. How much value do our words and actions have then?

Mahito said while watching as Junpei began walking towards him.

Junpei: I...don't know...

Junpei replied. Mahito smiled.

Mahito: They don't. Junpei.

Mahito said, getting off his hammock. From what Mahito could tell, Junpei had gotten used to his presence and wasn't scared to go near him.

Mahito: (In thought) He's treating me like a human. How sympathetic.

He brings Junpei to look at one of his experiments—to Junpei, it probably looked like a ginormous partially deflated human.

Junpei: What...is this thing?

Junpei asked.

Mahito: Oh, this? It's just an experiment to see how big and hard a human can get...

Mahito began. He put another one of his experiments in the palm of Junpei's hand.

Mahito: And this is how small a human can get.

Junpei stared at it. He seemed to have no reaction when moving the thing closer to his face to get a better look at it.

Mahito: I'm surprised you aren't scared of these corpses, Junpei.

Junpei: I don't really care. My whole life, I've experienced so much evil that I've become indifferent to it...and by the way, how did you manage to do all of this?

Mahito: I can see the soul. Your physical body is nothing but an envelope for what's really inside.

Mahito said. Junpei didn't reply.

Mahito put his arm over his shoulders.

Mahito: Living by your instincts isn't so bad, is it? Just look at the animals, most of them don't limit themselves based on morals. We can be like that too, Junpei.

Junpei glanced at Mahito and then stared out with indifference.

Junpei: I...I'm with you.

Junpei said. while Mahito just smirked.

Mahito used his right head to touch the side of Junpei's face. If he could use his transfiguration process to reshape Junpei's soul only enough to where he could learn Jujutsu, then the plan would work.

Of course, it would take a while for Junpei to realize that he is now capable of using cursed energy to his fullest potential.

Scene Break

When Ijichi arrived, Nanami, Yuji, and Yhwach found a conference room where they could narrow down all the information they had on the people who could've done this.

Zaegar, not surprisingly, was dozing off as Nanami talked about the plan to locate and take down whoever did this.

Yhwach: Zaegar.

Zaegar jolted awake and stared at Nanami's presentation.

Nanami: You think just because you're "Custom Grade", you don't have to take any of this seriously?

Nanami asked.

Zaegar thought about a response but felt like he didn't need to answer to this bum. He turned to Yuji who, unlike him, was fully focused on the plan they were laying out.

Yuji: What do you think, Yhwach-sensei?

Yuji asked.

before Yhwach could answer, Zaegar said something.

Zaegar: I don't give a flying fuck about the plan all that matters is that I fight something I didn't get enough enjoyment from burning Taco Bell.

Ginjo chuckled from within Yhwach's mind as he heard Zaegar's outburst, unable to contain his amusement at the situation.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, Zaegar, it seems like you got your wish after all. You practically destroyed Taco Bell

Zaegar blinked in confusion, glancing around as if searching for the source of Ginjo's voice in his mind.

Zaegar: (Mental Link) What are you talking about, Ginjo?

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) I'm talking about the fact that you've single-handedly burned and destroyed the entire company of Taco Bell. You're practically a legend among fast-food connoisseurs now.

Zaegar's eyes widened in disbelief as he processed Ginjo's words.

Zaegar: (Mental Link) Wait... you're serious?

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Absolutely. You're now known as the Taco Bell Tormentor, feared by fast-food chains everywhere.

Zaegar's expression morphed into a mix of disbelief and amusement as he realized the absurdity of the situation.

Zaegar: (Mental Link) Well, I'll be damned. Who knew my hatred for spicy food would lead to such chaos?

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Life works in mysterious ways, my hollow friend. But hey, at least you've left your mark on the world, one fiery burrito at a time.

Zaegar couldn't help but chuckle at Ginjo's words, a sense of pride swelling within him at the thought of his newfound reputation.

Yuji: No, I mean what do you think about the sewers? That's where we believe the sorcerer is.

Yuji said.

Zaegar: Last time I checked Caster was at the pub or was he at the sewers hmmm?

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) I hate to break it to you, but that was a different world altogether. Here, we're dealing with a sorcerer who's likely hiding in the sewers, not at some pub.

Zaegar blinked, his expression shifting as he processed Ginjo's words.

Zaegar: (Mental Link) Ah, right... my bad. Got a bit carried away with the memories.

Nanami: How about this Yhwach and I go and search for the perpetrator while you and Ijichi investigate Junpei Yoshino? Junpei is one of the victim's classmates, after all. So the connection shouldn't be too hard.

Nanami said.

Yuji and Ijichi nodded. Zaegar was dozing off again. He quickly regained consciousness when Yhwach tapped him on the head.

Scene Break

Mahito was in the sewers, eagerly waiting for a sorcerer with Yuji to arrive while sitting on a dusty railing.

If he did everything right, then his plan should've worked, and even if it didn't at first, he should expect some results from Junpei, since he was deceiving him about his care for humans.

Mahito heard footsteps.

Mahito: (In thought) Oh, it's showtime.

Mahito hops off the railing and watches as the shadows of the two figures get closer and closer. He grins as he thinks about the techniques he'll be using in battle.

Mahito: (In thought) Wait a minute...is that....

The two figures that appeared were two men—one of them, a blonde wearing a tan suit, and the other, an old man wearing a trench coat with a tiny dragon on his shoulder eating popcorn for some unknown reason.

( Flashback )

Kenjaku: Whatever you do, DO NOT fight Yhwach or his Pet. You'll die, and you don't want to test it.

Mahito: Oh, but what if I do?

( End of Flashback )

Mahito does an evil chuckle and greets the sorcerers.

Mahito: Welcome! I'm happy you carried out your own funeral-

Mahito began.

He stared at Yhwach, froze, then, kneeled and clutched his head in agony.

Mahito: (In thought) HIS SOUL IS TOO MUCH! WHY IS HIS SOUL SO EMPOWERING?! WHAT THE HELL?! THAT'S NOT THE SOUL OF A HUMAN! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!!!

Mahito's face was now sweating all over, and the sorcerers didn't seem to approach him. Maybe Mahito was overreacting...no, he wasn't.

Yhwach and Zaegar just stare at the sorcerer from a distance. Yhwach was wearing an unreadable expression while Zaegar was just stuffing his face into the popcorn not giving a single fuck.

Nanami was standing right next to him, looking like he was ready to go into a crazy brawl.

Nanami: You can't hide anymore. Stay kneeling right where you are and we don't have to resort to violence.

Nanami said.

The blue-haired sorcerer, kneeling on the dirty and moist ground, slowly looked up—smiling.

Mahito: My my...I'm most certainly not afraid of you—it's the one next to you that holds all the power, and you're oblivious to it.

The sorcerer replied.

Nanami made a small glance at Yhwach, but Yhwach had kept a stoic expression, almost as if he weren't there in the first place.

Nanami: Yhwach, do you know this guy?

Nanami asked.

Yhwach: No.

Zaegar: We're not even from here. Although, if he needs a rehabilitation center to recover from all the drugs he's probably been taking, there's one I saw in Tokyo while flying around...I just don't know where it specifically is...

Zaegar said.

Nanami: Now is not the time to be joking.

Nanami said while pointing his blunt sword at the sorcerer.

Nanami: I'm going to give you ten seconds to surrender...

Nanami started.

Mahito stood up, grinned, and put his hands together to form a Jujutsu sign.

Mahito: You should've killed me on sight...

Domain expansion... Self Embodiment of Perfection ( Ryōiki Tenkai: Jihei Endonka )

Scene Break

Yhwach now stood in a dark place covered with a multitude of hands that wanted to grab him. Everywhere he looked, he could see the reflection of the faces of the souls that the sorcerer had altered and taken.

That was the moment when Yhwach figured out that this sorcerer wasn't in fact human...but a monster trying to put on the facade of a human.

Yhwach: What...is this?

Yhwach said.

Mahito: My Domain. you idiots. It's magnificent. I'm honestly sad I overestimated you at first, but now that your beautiful dark soul is within my reach, I shall take it as a treasure. Hopefully, your lack of cursed energy won't be a barrier.

The monster replied.

Nanami glanced at Yhwach and Zaegar and said nothing. He knew the laws of Jujutsu very well, and once he was in a Domain, everything was pretty much a guaranteed hit unless someone could counter it with a cursed technique.

Mahito: Idle Trans—

Yhwach: How many souls have you devoured? I can hear them crying for help. I can feel their pain, their desperate pleas for release.

The monster tilted his head and smiled.

Mahito: More than you can count. You could just say that I killed them. I mean, they were so weak and powerless...just like you. I feel foolish for ever doubting myself.

Zaegar: Yhwach, let me handle this.

Yhwach regarded Zaegar with surprise but nodded in agreement.

Yhwach: Very well, Zaegar. Do what you must.

With a fierce roar, Zaegar opened his mouth wide, gathering energy within him. A swirling vortex of dark energy formed, culminating in a powerful blast of energy—a Cero.

The Cero tore through the darkness of Mahito's Domain, piercing through the hands and faces that sought to restrain them. The force of the blast shattered the very fabric of the Domain, causing it to tremble and quake.

As the darkness began to dissipate, Zaegar wasted no time. With lightning speed, he lunged at Mahito, his claws bared and ready for battle.

As Zaegar landed on Mahito, he grabbed hold of the monster's face with his claws and started to mercilessly tear it apart. Each rip and tear sent shockwaves through the ground, causing the earth to tremble violently.

Mahito screamed in agony as Zaegar's claws dug deeper, shredding through flesh and bone with relentless ferocity. The air filled with the sound of Mahito's screams and the sickening squelch of tearing flesh.

Mahito: Please stop STOP! YOU FUCKING LIZARD

Zaegar stopped for a moment his expression turning dark.

Zaegar: I'm so gonna fucking hurt you bad.

Mahito: N-

Scene Break

Yuji and Junpei had felt something like an earthquake while they were conversing with each other about movies and such. At first, Yuji thought it best to alert Nanami, then quickly remembered that Nanami wasn't here: he was stuck with Yhwcah and Zaegar fighting that secret sorcerer.

Yuji: (In thought) This is bad. What if that earthquake meant something else...

While Junpei sat on the concrete stairs, calm and collected, Yuji made a quick effort to take out his phone and try dialing for Gojo, but to his surprise, Gojo Sensei was already standing next to him, grinning.

Yuji: WOAH! That was fast!

Yuji exclaimed.

Junpei finally stood up, and Ijichi pitched in when he walked towards them.

Gojo: I suppose that attack came from...

Gojo began, but Yuji interrupted.

Yuji: Yhwach-sensei, it was most definitely Yhwach-sensei. Who else could've caused that earthquake?

Gojo frowned.

Gojo: No it's 100% that darn lizard..whatever, I'll talk to him when I see him. Yuji, we'll all meet back at the hotel soon.

Gojo said.

Gojo turned to Ijichi and they both nodded. And just like that, Gojo was gone just as quickly as he arrived.

Scene Break

Yhwach was carrying Nanami out of the rubble that had fallen on them. The good thing was Nanami was still alive.

As Yhwach walked past the building that had collapsed due to Zaegar, he could see many faces staring at him—civilian faces.

Nanami: You know I have two legs that are used for walking, right?

Nanami said.

Yhwach glanced down at Nanami, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.

Yhwach: My apologies, Nanami. I suppose old habits die hard.

He gently set Nanami down on his feet and ensured that he could stand steadily before turning around and Gojo appeared in front of him, and something told Yhwach that he was just as angry as he was.

Gojo: Was it you or Zaegar that did it?

Yhwach: Zaegar.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Think twice before ratting out Zaegar. He's not one to forgive easily. Keep this between us. It's our mess to clean up.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Understood, Ginjo. I'll deal with it solo.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Remember, I told you so.

Scene Break

Zaegar: WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU?

Mahito: AN IDIOT SANDWICH!

Zaegar then stops torturing Mahito for a second.

Zaegar: (In thought) I swear I feel like someone fucking threw me under the bus meh probably Albino's mad at something that doesn't involve me.

Mahito: (In thought) Oh thank- wait what's with that evil grin?? wait NO

Scene Break

Gojo approached Yhwach, his expression a mixture of concern and curiosity.

Gojo: Yhwach, where's Zaegar?

Yhwach shook his head, a perplexed look crossing his features.

Yhwach: I don't know. He disappeared after the fight with that bastard.

Gojo's brows furrowed in worry as he scanned the area, searching for any sign of Zaegar's presence.

Gojo: Dammit, where could he have gone?

Yhwach glanced around his senses on high alert.

Yhwach: He's unpredictable. He could be anywhere by now.

a few hours later, as Yhwach and Gojo continued their search for Zaegar, they were surprised when Zaegar suddenly appeared on Yhwach's shoulder, munching on a bloody donut.

Zaegar: Wassup, bitches?

Gojo's glare intensified as he addressed Zaegar.

Gojo: Where have you been? What have you done?

Zaegar shrugged nonchalantly, crumbs falling from his mouth as he spoke.

Zaegar: Calm down, Albino. I was just bored. Needed to let out some pent-up stress, that's all.

Gojo's expression darkened at Zaegar's casual attitude.

Gojo: You've been away for hours. You know you can't just disappear like that, especially in the middle of a mission.

Zaegar rolled his eyes, seemingly unfazed by Gojo's reprimand.

Zaegar: Aw, come on, Albino. It's not like I missed anything important. Just a bunch of boring talk and rubble. Plus, I brought back snacks!

Zaegar waved the blood-stained donut in front of Gojo's face, earning a disgusted look from the sorcerer.

Gojo: That's it. You've lost your special privileges. From now on, you stick with the team and follow orders. Understand?

Taking away his special privileges? As if Gojo could do that to Zaegar without retaliation. It's not like he could stop him from doing what he wanted, after all, he couldn't stop him from being involved in this mission.

Zaegar shrugged again, popping the rest of the donut into his mouth.

Zaegar: Oh, so now you're taking away my privileges? Good luck with that, Albino. You know I'll do what I want, regardless.

Gojo sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration He had planned something special for Zaegar, but now it seemed pointless to keep it a secret.

Gojo: The Goodwill Event, Zaegar. That's what your privileges were for. I was going to surprise you, but perhaps I should have told you earlier.

Gojo said.

Zaegar: Ah, the Goodwill Event. Now that's more like it. Should've led with that, albino. I'm all ears now.

Gojo: You vs the entire school. Simple enough, but the general rules of the Goodwill Event are relatively the same, which will be explained in further detail at the event.

Scene Break

Mahito was crawling out of the sewers with crippling fear. When he set out to his Domain to kill the two things that Kenjaku had warned him about, all hell broke loose.

Mahito has been defeated...

Mahito: (In thought) How? Me? Of all people? How could one tiny little fucking lizard destroy my Domain with brute force?! Is that even possible?! Fuck, I'm lucky that I had a plan to split apart before he did something else to me, or else I would've been a goner. I had no idea if he or his master could affect my soul, but I didn't want to find out...Shit, what am I going to tell Geto now?!

Mahito was almost finished crawling out of the sewers, butt naked. He could barely see the light. He kept on crawling, even when his arms were about to give up, that didn't matter to him.

As he exited the sewers, his face looking down to the ground, he could sense a presence staring at him from above. Who could've thought differently: it was Kenjaku.

Mahito looked up, his face all disoriented and filled with shame.

Kenjaku: You fought him, didn't you, even though I told you not to. All of you are like children. You only learn the hard way.

Kenjaku said, turning his face towards the moonlight.

Mahito used all of his strength to lift himself up from the ground. He reached for Kenjaku as if he were trying to bless him.

Mahito: No it wasn't Him. but his fucking pet lizard I'm sure they would've found me if I tried running away. What did you do with the finger that we planned to put in that kid's house?

Mahito asked.

Kenjaku wasn't even looking at him. His head was still turned away. Nevertheless, he threw the finger at Mahito and Mahito caught it with a bit of surprise.

Kenjaku: There are currently six fingers at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Like I said before, we need them. If we can feed Yuji an abundant amount of fingers at the same time, then perhaps he'll lose control of Sukuna due to the overwhelming surge of power that'll take over him.

Kenjaku explained.

Kenjaku's head turned to Mahito, the moonlight still reflecting on his face.

Kenjaku: I want you to retrieve those fingers for me.

Kenjaku said.

Mahito stretched his arms.

Mahito: What about Yhwach or his pet? I'm nowhere near their level, and Yhwach's soul is basically untouchable. Just a single blast and he was able to nearly defeat me. Do you have another plan set in place?

Mahito asked desperately.

Kenjaku: I do...actually...and it's during the school's Goodwill Event.

Kenjaku said.

Scene Break - Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School

Just within the walls of the school, where Maki was roaming, Zaegar was asleep while slouching on a wooden bench just outside.

As the group gathered around, one by one, they looked at Zaegar and frowned.

Maki: So...who's going to wake him up?

Maki asked.

Panda raised his hands.

Panda: I'll do it. He looks like he needs a big hug to wake up!

Panda screamed.

Maki: (In thought) Since when did you want to hug him? He insulted you a while ago.

Panda jogged towards Zaegar, lifted him up, and gave him a big hug. Nothing happened. However, everyone was on their toes. Who knew what Zaegar would do if he suddenly woke up.

Panda tried squeezing him again, but it was still all ineffective. He set Zaegar back on the bench and stared at him as he snored.

Panda: Welp, never mind, he's knocked out cold.

Panda said.

Megumi: So, we're just going to let him sleep until the Kyoto students arrive?

Megumi asked, frowning.

Nobara: I don't know what else you want him to do. Unless you're proposing that we make him get up.

Nobara said to Megumi.

Maki didn't talk much. Her attention had shifted to Yuji and that idiot sensei who was approaching the group.

Yuji: Hey guys! Sorry for the late notice! Ya miss me?!

Yuji said with enthusiasm.

Everyone: Meh.

Yuji made a disappointed face.

Gojo partially removed his blindfold.

Gojo: I see Zaegar's getting enough energy for the event ain't that right Yhwach?

Gojo said.

Yhwach: It seems Zaegar has found his own way to prepare for the event. Perhaps he's channeling his energy in his own unique manner.

Gakuganji: When you mean getting enough energy, you mean slacking off?

Gakuganji said from behind.

Yhwach and the Tokyo students analyzed Gakujanji and the Kyoto students: Mai, Mechamaru, Todo, Miwa, Noritoshi, and Momo.

Ginjo: (From within Yhwach's mind) They should stop looking at Zaegar.

Yhwach remained composed, his gaze shifting from Gakuganji to the approaching Kyoto students.

Yhwach: Gakuganji, it appears you have a keen eye for observation. However, Zaegar's methods may be unorthodox, but let us not underestimate his capabilities. He has proven himself more than capable in the past.

Gakuganji raised an eyebrow skeptically, but before he could respond, Todo bounded forward with his usual boisterous energy.

Todo: Hey, hey, hey! What's with all the serious faces? We're here for a Goodwill Event, right? Let's loosen up and have some fun!

_______________________________________________________________

THE GOODWILL EVENT

The terrain is scattered with cursed spirits. There will be three teams: one, the Tokyo Students, two, the Kyoto Students, and three, Zaegar—all by himself.

There are approximately two ways to win, and the other one is optional: first, whichever team has the most Grade 3 and 4 curse exorcisms, whichever team exorcises the one Grade 2 cursed spirit first, or, whichever team manages to defeat Zaegar. Killing any sorcerer on the opposing team will lead to a disqualification. The event will start at noon. GOOD LUCK!

Scene Break - Tokyo Team Room

The Tokyo team was discussing their game plan about how they handle the curses with the Kyoto team. Yuji was forced by Nobara to hold up a picture frame, but she was still annoyed that this would have been how he announced his return had they not been informed prior.

Yuji: Excuse me... Depending on how you look at it, this could be considered very extreme bullying.

Yuji meekly says.

Nobara: Shut up and stay that way for a while!

Nobara ordered, annoyed at Yuji, with her back turned to him.

Panda: Now, now... You know this was Gojo-sensei setting him up. Cut him some slack.

Panda replied, trying to diffuse the situation.

Yuji: The panda talks!

Yuji exclaimed.

Toge: Salmon, Salmon.

Toge replied, confusing Yuji immensely.

Yuji: What?

Yuji asked.

Megumi: Inumaki-senpai is a cursed speech user. Cursed technique is a technique that amplifies the power and compulsion of words. He limits his vocabulary to keep others safe.

Megumi informs.

Yuji: So if he told someone to go die, they'd actually die? That's really powerful.

Yuji asked, intrigued by this concept. Toge looks at Yuji.

Panda: It's nothing that convenient. It's all case by case, depending on their difference in strength. If he uses powerful words, he's hit with massive feedback. Worst case, it could affect him. Limiting his vocabulary is a way for Toge to protect himself, as well.

Panda explains this to Yuji.

Yuji: So how are you able to speak, Senpai? Are you some breed of panda? like how Zaegar is a different breed of Lizards?

Yuji asked. Nobara was disgusted with this.

Nobara: Blabbing on about people's techniques...

Nobara mutters.

Maki: It's fine. Toge's isn't that kind of technique, anyway. More importantly, Yuji...

Maki responds before shifting her focus to Yuji.

Zaegar enters the room, still tired and bored even after he has just woken up. He looks around and sees Maki patronizing Yuji about something.

Maki: WHERE'S the Slaughter Demon? I know you have it. Don't lie to me

Maki asks. Yuji begins to freak out, remembering it was destroyed during the Special-Grade Mission.

Yuji: I promise, Gojo-sensei gave it to me, and I...

Maki: YOU what?

Yuji: I...broke it...

Yuji said.

Yuji put his arms over his face to block against an incoming punch, but Maki didn't do anything. She just stared at the wall and sighed.

Maki: That blindfolded dumbass sensei. How foolish was it for me to give him that cursed tool? You're lucky I still have a polearm to use.

Maki said.

She turned around and saw Zaegar drinking Beer that said 101% alcohol

Maki: I'm not even going to question that

Maki mutters.

Maki: Zaegar...you're not on our team—what are you doing here?

Maki asked.

Zaegar: Was bored and figured you idiots were doing something entertaining guess not bye

Zaegar disappears.

Scene Break - Kyoto Team Room

Gakunganji slowly sat down and looked at his precious students. He was so proud of them and how far they've come—now, all they had to do was win this event and kill Yuji Itadori and Zaegar in the process.

Gakunganji: (In thought) Gojo is a young fool for making one of his own students on another team. It only gave me more leeway to exploit his own students

Gakunganji: I suppose you all know the plan already, no need for me to repeat anything. Make it clean and effective.

Gakunganji said as he watched Miwa kneel next to him.

Miwa: Sensei, should we rethink killing them...I mean...I just want to—

Noritoshi: Are you going against his will, Miwa?

Noritoshi, followed by Mai and Mechamaru, kneeled next to Miwa in front of Gakunganji.

Noritoshi: As a member of the Komo Clan, I will gladly follow your orders to execute these bedeviled sorcerers.

Noritoshi finished.

Mechamaru: I too will follow your lead.

Mai did the same while Todo and Momo were still leaning up against the wall on opposite sides of the room.

Gakunganji sensed disagreement.

Gakuganji: So, what about you two?

Gakunganji asked.

Todo: This is lame. There is a travel show at 11 that I have to hurry to. See you guys soon.

Todo said as he exited the room.

Gakuganji didn't say anything, only turned to look at Momo.

Momo: I have no objections. It's not fair that he's still alive anyway. But we'll have to worry about Inumaki as well.

Momo replied.

Gakuganji: Glad we're all on the same page. Please don't disappoint.

Gakuganji said.

Scene Break - The Judges Conference Room

Gojo and Utahime were sitting down on a couch across from each other. Gojo was doing silly tricks with his pencil while Utahime was constantly checking her watch. while Yhwach was sitting behind them reading his book as usual.

Gojo: So, what do you think? About Zaegar's arrangement?

Gojo asked.

Yhwach glanced up from his book, his eyes scanning over Gojo and Utahime as they discussed Zaegar's involvement in the upcoming event.

Yhwach: Zaegar's methods are unconventional, but he has a way of surprising us all. His participation may add an unpredictable element to the event, which could prove beneficial in challenging the students to adapt and strategize effectively.

Utahime interjected, her expression serious.

Utahime: Only you in this entire world would think of putting a powerhouse on his own team. I know you want our students to grow and everything, but did you have to put him on another team?

Utahime said while placing the palm of her hands under her chin, deep in thought.

Gojo: I don't see the problem. It's not like we weren't going to win without him anyway. Plus, he has to interfere or else he won't get his privileges back.

Gojo said.

Utahime almost got up but saw Yaga enter the room. She sat back down.

Utahime: I'm surprised you're still putting more of your time towards Yuji when you act like Zaegar has more potential as a sorcerer. Why are you ignoring him?

Gojo didn't reply, as Utahime expected.

Gojo: How about changing the subject? I have a feeling that one of the Kyoto Students has been cooperating with a cursed user outside of this school...and for bad reasons. Could you do some investigating on them?

Utahime: What am I to you, Satoru Gojo? Your puppet? You seem to already have a headstart on that.

Gojo: Yeah, but there's one problem: I'm the strongest. Why don't you go in and do some digging so it won't be suspicious.

Utahime: Are you saying that because I'm a woman?

Utahime replied.

Yhwach heard someone or something kick the door open. Everyone turned around and spotted Gojo's and Yhwach's student: Zaegar...

Zaegar: Yo Yhwach-sensei I got you some of your favorite snacks.

Utahime: Leave, judges only.

Utahime replied.

Zaegar glanced at Utahime, his expression unimpressed as he raised his middle finger.

Zaegar: Shut the fuck up, you fucking bitch. I wasn't talking to you.

Utahime's eyes narrowed in response to Zaegar's insolence, but before she could say anything, Zaegar turned his attention to Yhwach.

Zaegar: Here, Yhwach-sensei. Got you some of your favorite snacks.

Zaegar handed over the snacks to Yhwach, who accepted them with a faint sigh of resignation. Meanwhile, Ginjo chuckled from within Yhwach's mind, finding the entire situation amusing.

Ginjo: (From within Yhwach's mind) Looks like Zaegar's as charming as ever. You've got your hands full with that one, Yhwach.

Yhwach remained composed, offering Zaegar a nod of acknowledgment.

Yhwach: Thank you, Zaegar. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated.

Utahime watched the interaction with a mix of irritation and disbelief, but she refrained from saying anything further, knowing it would likely only escalate the situation. Instead, she turned her attention back to Gojo, silently seething at Zaegar's blatant disregard for authority.

Scene Break

Megumi was walking with the other Tokyo Students outside. Now, it was only thirty minutes until the event started, and he had some things that he wanted to lay out to Maki: a plan that could potentially defeat Zaegar.

Megumi: (In thought) Let's just hope that I won't overdo it, or else we'll lose the event, period.

Megumi casually strolls next to Maki as she is walking in the back of the group.

Megumi: Maki, could I talk to you for a moment?

Megumi asked.

Megumi almost thought that she was going to ignore him, but instead, she just stopped and listened.

Megumi: Zaegar already told you how he became a Custom Grade, correct?

Megumi said.

Maki: No, but I already thought about it. It's probably because of his master who defeated Yuji while he was taken over by the cursed spirit, correct?

Megumi: On point, but, what you probably have noticed is that Zaegar has a terrible sense of direction. You went out with him and Yhwach-sensei a lot, so I suppose you know.

Maki: Just cut to the chase. What are you implying?

Megumi: I think I just found out how we can eliminate Saitama from this event: The Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga. It's from the Ten Shadows—

Maki: Yeah, I know what it is. But it's a pointless suicide. You're not actually going to use it, are you? It could kill all of us.

Megumi: It could but it won't because I have a feeling Zaegar won't let it. Yhwach-sensei and Zaegar have morals and I think he isn't okay with humans dying. While he's fighting the shikigami, he will get lost and take forever to find his way back, giving us at least an option to win the event. When I find him, I'll trick him into participating in the ritual, in which, I hope, Zaegar wins and we both stay alive. It'll be a win-win. If Zaegar could kill it, since he participated in the ritual, I'd be able to tame Mahoraga.

Maki looked at Inumaki, then back at Megumi.

Maki: Why not utilize Inumaki's cursed speech on Zaegar?

Maki suggested.

Megumi: That could work, but, I don't want to risk Inumaki. He's too much of an asset. He could be saved up for Todo if Yuji doesn't follow through.

Maki: Megumi...if you want to risk your life like this, that's on you. But...if your plan does work, then you've gained some respect from me. If it doesn't, then I'll be the one burying you alive.

Scene Break

the Tokyo and Kyoto teams, including Zaegar, are standing in the running line. Yuji watches as Zaegar keeps munching on his food while flying wearing shades.

Maki: Don't worry too much about Zaegar. Let's just hope he doesn't attack all of us on sight. You worry about Todo.

Maki whispered.

Yuji nodded. He could tell that Megumi had some sort of plan in place.

Nobara, Inumaki, and Panda stepped in front and listened to the speakers. The Kyoto Team did the same.

Gojo: (Speakers) THIRTY SECONDS UNTIL THE GOODWILL EVENT BEGINS! WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK! SHOW WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF! OH, AND ZAEGAR, AT LEAST GIVE THEM A FIGHTING CHANCE! WE DON'T WANT THIS TO BE A MASSACRE!

Both teams looked at Zaegar, who was flying alone scratching his butt while picking his nose. Yuji glanced at Todo and saw that he was actually more pumped to fight Zaegar than him...if he could even reach Zaegar, that was.

Yuji closed his head, and waited for the signal to go.

Gojo: (Speakers) GO!

hen Yuji heard Gojo say "Go!"---he saw Zaegar flying away. He was going so fast that the dust and debris and a bit of fart flew on Yuji's face when he practically disappeared.

Yuji: (In thought) JUST LIKE THAT HE'S GONE! HIS SPEED IS JUST TO MUCH! HE...LEFT US IN THE DUST!

He tried to stop thinking about what Zaegar was doing and focus on what Maki had told him: to focus on taking down Todo.

Yuji saw Maki take out her polearm to exorcize the cursed spirit, but Todo, with his incredible speed, sped right past the entire Tokyo Team and easily destroyed the cursed spirit with his punch.

The team stopped in reaction to this, causing Todo to grin at the sight of the entire Tokyo team.

Todo: Great! You're all here! Come at me all together!

Todo exclaimed.

Yuji, just as planned, begins to charge at Todo to allow the rest of the team to play the game. The boy knees Todo in the face as the team begins to split up.

Maki: Scatter!

Maki orders.

Before Yuji even could land on the ground, Todo was right in front of his face, ready to punch him.

Yuji lifted his arms in front of his face, but Todo's punch sent Yuji crashing into a nearby tree. With pain all over his body, Yuji used the strength in his legs to propel himself off the ground, dodging Todo's punch which created a massive dent in the tree.

Yuji then held on to a tree branch above and used the momentum from the swing to kick Todo in the face, causing Todo to go off balance again.

Todo: NOT BAD! NOT BAD AT ALL!

Todo said as he vanished. Yuji did a 360-degree turn and couldn't see Todo anywhere. Yuji stood his ground—he couldn't afford to be caught off guard.

From the shadows, an arrow came flying towards him, Yuji dodged it, but as he was dodging the arrow, Mechamaru appeared right in front of him—ready to turn him into ashes.

Yuji: (In thought) What the fuck?! Are they trying to jump me?!

Yuji dodged Mechamaru's blast and punched him in the face, hurling him to the ground.

From behind, Yuji could sense someone else approaching: Miwa.

Just barely, Yuji managed to dodge Miwa's slice by doing a backflip in the air. He then softened his landing as his feet connected with the ground. He was ready to continue fighting until he saw Mai pointing a gun at him while standing on a tree branch.

Scene Break

Maki: So, you still think Zaegar is going to win against your top shinigami?

Maki asked as they sprinted past the trees. They didn't dare to stop running, especially when they knew that the Kyoto Students weren't that far from their location. Did Megumi have anything else in mind?

Megumi: Precisely.

Megumi replied, doing another hand sign.

Maki sensed something close by—it had to have been one of the Kyoto Students—they were getting closer.

Megumi quickly summoned his nue shinigami and watched as it flew away...its main objective: tracking down Zaegar.

Maki: You're trying to trick Zaegar into believing that your shikigami is a Grade 2 Cursed Spirit, leading him straight to us.

Maki stated.

Megumi: Let's not get too comfortable with the idea.

Megumi said.

Scene Break

Miwa and Noritoshi could've sworn that they were right behind Maki and Megumi, but it looked like their assumptions were wrong. As they were running near an area that reeked of manure, they came across another potential Grade 3 Cursed Spirit.

This time, the cursed spirit was in the form of a rabbit that had red eyes and could hop very fast.

Noritoshi: Get on my right side!

Noritoshi said.

Noritoshi: (In thought) We can't afford to waste time on these cursed spirits. I think I can handle this.

Instead of going on the defensive side, like Noritoshi was doing, Miwa quickly withdrew her katana and sliced the cursed spirit's arm off.

Even that wasn't enough to put it down.

It kicked Miwa in the stomach, causing her to cough up blood.

Miwa: (In thought) Why do I have to be the weak one?

Kneeling, Miwa was ready to roll over to dodge another attack from the cursed spirit, but an arrow filled with cursed energy pierced the side of the cursed spirit's head, causing it to tremble and slowly rot away.

Noritoshi offered a napkin, but Miwa pushed it away.

Miwa: I can handle this, and why do you have a napkin stored anyway?

Miwa asked.

Noritoshi: It's related to my cursed technique. Honestly, I think it's better if each of us knows our limits rather than acting irrationally. Either way, we've lost Megumi and Maki, but we can try to flank them with the help of Momo.

Noritoshi replied.

Miwa felt her phone ringing. She picked up the call.

Miwa: Momo? What do you have for us?

She looked up at the sky as she was talking...

Momo: (Phone Call) Shikigami. It's heading your way, and it's fast! I almost caught it, but it tricked me and went in the opposite direction. Also, ZAEGAR IS COMING YOUR WAY!

Miwa: (In thought) Fuck.

Scene Break

Megumi stopped running. He felt something was off the moment a gush of wind flew past him and went in the opposite direction.

Maki had only slowed down a couple of seconds earlier.

Megumi: (In thought) My shikigami...it's cursed energy...is going the opposite direction. Could Zaegar be flying circles around us?

Megumi ran in the opposite direction and Maki followed without question.

Scene Break

Zaegar had already checked most of the terrain and couldn't find the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit anywhere. So far, he killed about 69 cursed spirits, but none of them seemed fit for the requirement.

Zaegar spotted two of his enemies not far from where he was...which team were they from again? A better question, did it even fucking matter? He would have to get past them anyway, and it wouldn't be pretty.

They were running in the same direction he was going, but they didn't appear to notice him until they looked back. It seemed as if they gave up on running away and resorted to the offensive.

Before Zaegar could even look back at the bird flying in the sky, he saw an arrow flying towards him from one of the opponents. He casually caught the arrow and broke it in two.

Zaegar blitzed behind the duo so fast that they didn't even see him moving from his spot until it was too late—Zaegar had already karate-chopped them at that point don't ask how Zaegar did that with his tiny hand.

Now, the guy who was holding the arrow and the blue-haired girl with the katana was lying on the ground–unconscious.

Just above Zaegar, was another opponent that Zaegar had sensed.

They were on a broomstick, like the ones you would see witches on in a children's movie. It was a kid—at least to Zaegar, it looked like a blonde child on a witch broomstick.

Zaegar: (In thought) Ah shit I gotta fart.

Zaegar releases his fart and it launches him into the sky, in the direction of the kid. By the time his fart had carried him to her altitude, he head-butted her, causing her to come crashing down at fast speed.

Zaegar slowly descended to the ground like a cartoon character. To Zaegar's surprise, she was still conscious, but her body had sunk into the ground.

Zaegar: Did you clean houses or something with that broomstick before becoming a sorcerer? I think that's child labor Emi told me, which is illegal. Huh, maybe I should tell Yhwach nah not like I give a fuck..

The kid closed her eyes and didn't open them back.

Zaegar: Just killed a child feeling good.

Scene Break

Megumi could almost feel it—he was getting close. His nue shikigami was now flying right above them.

At first, Megumi could've sworn that his shikigami was going to dive in and swoop them, but instead, it did nothing.

Megumi: He's so close. Look, there's the opening. Mak-

Zaegar: Where are you idiots running to?

Zaegar whispered from behind Megumi.

Megumi almost had a heart attack as he stopped so fast that he almost got a cramp on his right leg and raised his hands.

Maki's reaction speed was faster, as expected, but it was still nowhere fast enough to react to Zaegar. She too stopped completely and raised her hands, dropping her polearm weapon.

Megumi was sweating all over.

Maki: We have a prize for you...something that can take away your boredom, don't we?

Maki said as she glanced at Megumi.

Megumi watched as his shikigami didn't make a move either. It would only attack on his command.

Megumi: She's right...Zaegar...can we safely turn around?

Zaegar couldn't help but roll his eyes at their attempt to pacify him with some vague promise of entertainment. Did they really think he was that stupid? Well, perhaps they did, considering their panicked reactions when he appeared behind them.

He pondered for a moment, realizing that he was starting to understand Yhwach's disdain towards children. Every single brat seemed to be asinine in their own special way.

Zaegar sighed inwardly but decided to entertain their request if only to see what they had in store for him.

Zaegar: Sure.

It was a slow process, one that was heart-racing, but they felt the need to do it. They turned around and saw Zaegar sitting straight—slouching a little.

Scene Break

Nobara was aware of the suspicious attacks that were being committed by the Kyoto Students. It was even more suspicious when the majority of them didn't follow her team but had presumably stayed back. Why? Well, it could have only been for one reason.

Panda: I think they're attempting to kill Yuji. Knowing them, they figured out soon enough that they weren't going to win this with Zaegar being involved, so they put their strongest members in charge of killing Yuji...which would be—

Nobara: Todo.

Nobara finished for him.

Panda: Exactly. They consider Yuji a cursed spirit due to him being a Sukuna vessel. They're playing dirty, and we should've expected them to do this sooner.

She was now standing near a small house made of wood that had been abandoned. Inumaki was leaning against the house, saying nothing.

Nobara: What do you think Maki and Megumi are doing? I asked them why they wanted to pair up, but they didn't tell me. And it seemed like they weren't interested in the Kyoto Students who stayed behind.

Nobara said.

Panda: They're going for the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit. If Maki wins this event, she's going to want to be the one who caused us to win so the higher-ups will have no choice but to bring her up the rankings. Of course, Megumi gets a piece of the effort too.

Inumaki spoke up.

Inumaki: Nobara and I, help Yuji.

Inumaki said, slowly.

Panda: Yeah, and I can handle myself decently enough, if any of the Kyoto Students come my way, I should be good.

Panda replied.

Panda stayed at the location while Nobara and Inumaki went on their way to aid Yuji.

Scene Break

Yuji dodged another incoming attack from Todo. He figured that all the mass and muscle in his arms were producing more energy than he could with simple punches, so if he wanted to hit with the same amount of strength, he shouldn't be focusing on hitting harder, but rather, hitting faster.

Yuji dodged another jab and punched Todo in the face, followed by multiple punches on the chest. Most of those punches were effective, but Todo had a lot of endurance. He picked Yuji up and slammed him to the ground.

Yuji spat out blood.

Todo: I CAN TELL YOU'RE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH IN YOUR PUNCHES. PUT MORE!

Todo screamed.

Yuji clenched his fists tight. Yuji consecutively bashed Todo with his punches as Todo blocked them. Eventually, Todo's defense broke and Yuji executed another clean strike on Todo's face. The odd thing about Todo was that he seemed to be enjoying this.

Todo begins charging directly for Yuji; the boy only just realizes this and begins guarding himself. Just then, a cursed spirit jumps in between the two of them, softening the earth-shattering punch that Todo just delivered. Yuji thankfully managed to block, but the impact still sent him flying through a tree, finally landing on another one.

Yuji: (In thought) My arm's... still here? I thought it got blown off. If that cursed spirit hadn't gotten in the way, that would have been real bad.

Yuji thinks to himself. His arms are shaking quite a bit.

Yuji recuperates for a moment, lifting up his head and slowly opening his eyes. His face is met with the foot of Todo, who stomps on his head multiple times. It is brutal; blood is soaking the grass around them. Todo was about to throw in a punch, but he stopped himself in reaction to Yuji's body slumping against the tree.

Todo: Done already?

Todo says to himself, a bit disappointed by this. He cracks his neck before walking off.

Todo: Now, which should I pursue?

Todo says to himself.

Yuji is slowly picking himself up, his fingers clenched against the grass. The noise of this catches Todo's attention. Making the pineapple-haired man laugh in response.

Todo: Are you for real?

Todo asks, laughing while turning to face him.

Yuji: You think you can just pound away at my head like that?! What if you made me even dumber than I already am?!

Yuji barks at his opponent. His blood-soaked a section of his hair after he slowly picked himself up.

Todo: What's your name, first-year?

Todo asks.

Yuji: Itadori Yuji.

Yuji responds.

Todo: I see. Itadori Yuji. I have one question for you. What kind of woman is your type?

Todo responds, asking the big question, which, to him, is probably more meaningful than a wedding proposal.

Yuji: Huh? What's my type? Why are you asking me that right now?

Yuji was dumbfounded by this.

Todo: Don't worry about that. I'm just appraising you.

Todo responds.

Yuji: I don't really get it, but if I had to say... a tall woman with a big ass, I guess? Like Jennifer Lawrence.

Yuji answers, confused about the purpose of this question.

Todo was shocked by this answer, to the point where he started to have a flashback of an alternate reality that happened in his mind. I'm genuinely surprised he didn't go into a coma at this point. He finally found a brother in arms—a fellow man of culture in his eyes.

Todo: Seems like we're best friends!

Todo declares.

Yuji: When you just learned my name?!

Yuji exclaims.

Scene Break

Megumi got in the stance that was used to summon Mahoraga: he extended both arms forward at a slight upward angle with his fists closed.

Maki was standing behind a tree with Megumi's shinigami, and Zaegar was sitting directly in front of Megumi, scratching his ass while waiting.

Megumi: Ring...ring...ring...

Megumi started sweating.

Suddenly, the light from the sun was covered with dark clouds, and a bunch of wind flew past them. Even a small earthquake started...Zaegar didn't seem to care.

Megumi continued to speak.

With This Treasure, I summon...

Zaegar was surprised to see what looked like a Goliath of a human covered in bandages used to wrap a mummy standing still in the air behind Megumi. There are also hounds on both sides of Megumi howling to the sky.

Zaegar could also see the strings that were attached to the trees nearby, presumably from the goliath.

Zaegar: (In thought) So this is what Megumi was talking about? The Moharogo? Or Mango? Hmm...it's starting to look like something I've seen from that American movie I used to watch...Indiana Jones?

When Megumi finished saying:

...The Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila General Mahoraga...

A ginormous muscular humanoid white figure with wings for horns and a wheel on top of its head broke out of the layered bandages and landed on the ground.
