"I trust you're not encountering any difficulties with the menu," Jemima remarked as she placed her menu on the table, having already made her selection. One of her brows was lifted inquisitively.
Nervously laughing, Vanessa also let the menu slip from her grasp. Entering a shop elegantly decorated as this one, she anticipated such prices. "Could you assist in selecting items? That would be preferable," Vanessa suggested, hoping Jemima would choose within her budget.
"Are you sure about it?" Jemima asked again. Vanessa nodded and offered a smile. "I am fine with whatever you select, I have already gone through the menu, and I don't think there is anything I would detest. I was just confused by the large range of options."
"I would also admit that there are many options on the menu which makes it difficult to make I choose at times I feel like ordering everything but that would be very wasteful," Jemima admitted before laughing at her silly behavior, even Vanessa was amused.
"Since you insist I make the choice, I would just order some like snacks because we have a lot of walking around to do." Jemima then waited for a waiter to come before she placed her order. She ordered the same thing for herself and Vanessa.
"Can I ask you a private question?" Vanessa chirped while they were waiting for their order. Jemima, who was going through her phone, paused and replied, "About what exactly."
"Please don't be offended, but I have to get this off my chest," Vanessa was feeling nervous if she could ask Jemima her next question. "Just spill already, Lilac."
"I was wondering are you a lesbian I just want to confirm, not because I have anything against the LGBT+" Vanessa immediately blurted out.
Jemima broke into a roaring laugh. She was amused by Lilac's questions about what the hell made Lilac think she was bent. Jemima's abrupt laughter incurred quizzical looks from other customers because Jemima was laughing without reservation. Vanessa only grew nervous with the way Jemima laughed. She felt like facepalming herself for asking such a dumb question. There was no way Jemima could be a lesbian, but not all lesbians have obvious traits.
After Jemima had laughed to her heart's satisfaction, she cleared her throat and poured herself a glass of water, which she downed.
Jemima had a teasing smile on her face, "Let me ask you the same question Lilac. Are you a lesbian and attracted to me."
Vanessa was pushed unbalanced by the question, she immediately shook her head. "So you are saying I am not attractive enough or rather not beautiful," Jemima's face was looking soured, which gave Vanessa the impression she was offended by her abrupt denial.
"I am not saying you are not beautiful. You are very attractive Jemima I admit, but I am straight, so there is no way I can be attracted to you," Vanessa explained. Jemima's face formed a smirk" So if I was a boy, or you were a boy, you would be attracted to me right." She teased Vanessa.
Vanessa was puzzled by Jemima's behaviour as she bent, but her face was devoid of emotions because she was hiding her thoughts. "There are no what-ifs, I am straight, and we are both women." Vanessa coolly replied.
Jemima chuckled as she tried to pull Vanessa's legs. "It is okay, I am not bent even one bit, I am the most straight person you would ever meet," Lilac admitted.
Vanessa laughed in relief, she almost got herself into a sticky situation. "I was just pulling your legs and if you are wondering why I requested for you. It is simply because I wanted to go shopping as all my friends were unavailable," Vanessa's face formed an oh expression. She understood the situation.
"Here are your orders, ma'am." The waiter stated as she placed their items on the table from his trolley. Jemima had ordered hot chocolate, croissants and some other pastries. After the waiter was done, he left the table.
Jemima and Vanessa were meant to make their drinks themselves with the items brought for them. Jemima continued her conversation after the waiter departed.
"If you ask me, I don't know about lesbians, but I don't think I can find a girl attractive in that way when there are so many hot men like you get, those six feet of masculine perfection that are drool-worthy." Jemima's eyes were dreamy as she imagined the picture in her mind. She poured some warmer water into her cup and started making her drink.
"I can relate," Vanessa giggled, harbouring her fantasies, though she never vocalized them. She stirred her cup after adding cream, noticing its thick, creamy texture. "It's so smooth," she remarked, describing the milk.
Vanessa and Jemima enjoyed their light meal, trying out different pastries with the hot chocolate, It was divine. Vanessa had to admit money can get you excellent stuff. They also casually chatted about random things and Vanessa was impressed, Jemima is decent with her words.
She was expecting her to be a stock-up b*tc*h, but you can never judge a book by its cover. Jemima was dashing, even compared to Vanessa. She has glowing emerald green eyes and golden blonde hair. She possessed a magnificent figure and height. She was almost the same height as Vanessa. Her skin was flawless, and her facial features were very impressive.
After they were done, Jemima settled the bill, and they left to begin their grand adventure. Since the Delight Mall was huge, a lot of luxury and high-end stores possessed shops in the complex.
Jemima had already booked her appointment in many of such shops so it wasn't hard for them to easily get admitted to the VVIP section which was limited to only black card carriers.
Vanessa was initially shocked at how much money Jemima had. Why was she moving around with such money without several bodyguards, was she not scared for her safety? Jemima also had a similar aura to Jayden's ' sister' Alessia, majestic and charming but she was a little down to earth compared to Alessia who was uptight.
In the VVIP room, Jemima and Vanessa were seated enjoying some snacks that were offered to them while some models paraded the room with different attires. Jemima kept on asking Vanessa about her opinion of each outfit.
Vanessa was not a fashion critic, but she could still judge whether an outfit looked stupid or not. Some pieces were magnificent while some would just leave you puzzled, wondering why the hell would someone want to wear this?
After looking at various pieces, Jemima decided on some pieces and selected them. She paid for them and told the sales girl her men would come and pick them up, then she left her number before exiting the shop.
The next shop was accessories The moment Jemima and Vanessa stepped into the shop the sales girl who welcomed them had a sneer on her face. She was looking down on Vanessa because of her plain attire. Vanessa did not even have a single luxury brand or limited edition clothes on her.
While Jemima was dressed in minimal luxurious items, simply put her look was rather modest so she came up with the conclusion that they were average girls who probably saved up some cash to get a single piece of luxury item once in a while. Unknown to her, Jemima decided to dress a little low-key today because it was her style.
"I have an appointment scheduled for this afternoon, please," Jemima politely informed the sales girl. She was aware of the contemptuous looks the sales girl was giving them.
"Are you sure about that because I am positive the VVIP section is already occupied, or are you confused between a regular booking for a VIP service and the VVIP appointment room?" The sales girl sneered a Jemima who she thought was lying because there was no way she could get the special room and also the special can't be booked by two people at the same time.
"Please can I speak to the manager," Jemima was pissed at the sales girl's behaviour what was she hearing about her bookings being incorrect?
"The manager is currently busy with a very important client right." The sales girl rolled her eyes at Jemima's dark expression. What was the need of acting dramatic, Jemima could just pick an item and leave. She didn't have to act like a big shot if she wasn't one.
Vanessa felt a headache coming from the present unfolding of events. Jemima let out a menacing, dark laugh that sent shivers to Vanessa and the sales girl. "I demand to see your manager, don't let me repeat my words," Jemima spoke each word separately with a pause indicating her emphasis on every single word.
She didn't like attracting much attention to herself, but this little b*tch was pushing her buttons.
"Maybe we can go to another store," Vanessa suggested to Jemima, but her words were received on deaf ears.
