Chapter 65: LXV: Victory!

From his position, Seone could only see the sun, blue sky, and white clouds. He was lying in what seemed to be a huge meadow. The grass on his back was comforting and gave him that pleasant feeling that made him not want to get up. His mind was incredibly clear, and even though he couldn't feel his body, he instinctively knew that his body was healthy it was better than ever.

From one moment to the next, the beautiful landscape turned into a dimly lit cave, the light coming from somewhere making everything look gray. In the middle of the room, there was a fountain filled with water and a golden light shining in it. The golden light differed from the one caused by the spin, it was soft, warm, and comfortable to touch.

Around the fountain was a huge snake, its scales were black with golden rings, its red eyes looked like two huge glowing gems, and it seemed to be comfortably enjoying the golden light falling on its body. On top of the snake's body was a figure made of black smoke, lying on its back with its hands on the back of its neck, as if it was simply resting.

"Wow, you don't know how long you've been asleep, I think it's been almost a day," the shadow said in a voice that Seone couldn't make out, as she also lay down on the snake's body, but this time face down, enjoying the soft golden light. Then she looked curiously at the fountain, she had never had this change before and found it rather strange.

"Why does the light make me feel good? I don't think it's Samantha's light," Seone said in a somewhat sleepy tone, although he was technically conscious, he hadn't woken up yet.

"It has nothing to do with her it's been a while since she completely healed you. No, this light has to do with the golden apple fragment you ate.

It didn't make you immortal, but it did you a real favor. It integrated your whole being, your left eye is now really your eye, not just a simple advanced prosthesis. I even think your children might inherit this trait. You will be more fluent in using these special abilities.

Your vitality is now naturally dense, without any special controls, though it can't grow beyond that. At this point in the game, it's no longer necessary, because when you get your fire, it will be much more fully integrated than you thought, and it will be even easier to unlock the limits and access the instincts behind them.

I also sense that the spin will be much easier for you to execute. Also, your swing seems to have a touch of life to it...a manifestation of the 'new life' you now have, it is no longer just silence or murder.

You have just finished digesting a piece of a mystical fruit that has given you more potential, nay, paved you with the inherent potential you had but could not easily reach as a human. Fuck, truly the luck of a protagonist," scoffed Smoke Seone, that's what we'll call him.

Seone reviewed those changes in him, all those details came to mind, and even more subtle ones, since Smoke Seone was lazy in explaining the subtleties to him. He even felt that all the techniques of the Belmont Clan had been integrated into him to the point that even if he couldn't master them, it was due to lack of power, not inability to learn them.

Of course, he would not be able to access them unless he improved his strength, which was not only related to energy density, which is not a cultivation novel, but also to his mentality, technique, senses, body, and so on. To sum it up in terms that any reader would understand, he would have to improve his 'realm' to be able to perform, master, and use those techniques, but they were imprinted on him, they were.

He also noticed something interesting, now his left eye was completely red, yes, abnormally red, but it didn't bother him, he had no vision problems, he knew that without having to be awake to know it. He even examined his body with the 'Inner Gaze', a vitality technique he had understood long ago, and saw that this red color was because the flesh of his eye was soaked with vitality, making his eye technically the hardest part of his body.

This gave Seone an idea, but he knew he couldn't implement it until he was at least at the gates of the last instinct to be unlocked, the so-called Extreme Instinct. But it gave him a visualization of why it was called that, which filled him with an incredible desire to train and fight harder to become stronger.

He would not improve energetically, in fact, he felt that what had just happened with his now naturally compressed energy would be the last improvement he would have in that regard. Now he wanted to wake up, and he did... after about five minutes.

...

Soon Seone realized that he could see the roof of the tent, his body felt comfortable as he twisted to make his bones thunder, something that woke Marie who was sleeping next to him. She looked at Seone and instead of looking worried or happy, she was angry.

She knew from Samantha that Seone could have woken up long ago, but the very lazy guy had just fallen asleep, worrying her for no reason, which made her angry with Seone, but she is an understanding person, she understood that the boy needed to sleep, even if it had been almost a whole day.

Seone noticed Marie's mood, even though he was a fool about it, he had a good sixth sense, and the blonde's emotions weren't hidden in any way, so he just got up and walked over to her, giving her a tight hug.

Seone had only a bare torso, full of scars, especially one that looked like a vortex on her chest. He also had many scars on his face, arms, and legs, but he didn't care, he just thought of the soft girl in his embrace. There were no words between them, they just hugged, she had her head on his chest, releasing warm air against his skin, just enjoying the moment.

"That was a great fight," she said quietly, knowing he could hear her perfectly.

"Yes, it felt good, painful, but good. I even 'digested' that piece of apple we ate in the dungeon. I even feel like I can do something now...give me a moment," reluctantly breaking the embrace, Seone pulled away from Marie and felt her body completely.

Suddenly, all of Seone's skin changed color, becoming strangely transparent and taking on a dry texture. With a brief burst of vitality, the skin on his body seemed to turn to dust, and in front of Marie appeared a Seone with quite flawless, unscarred skin.

She approached him and tentatively touched his broad chest, not only to find out how he felt but because she had a mania for Seone's naked torso, so she just took the opportunity. Seone's skin felt a little smoother than before, and the areas where he had had marks were now flawless.

"It's a technique of my invention, I called it 'Snake Shedding', it feels good to have no scars, yes they look manly and amazing, but perfect skin is eternal, it's justice," Seone joked, causing Marie to burst out laughing.

Marie noticed that Seone's mental state was much more normal, lighter, without that slight repression or constant discomfort around him. It was obvious that he was mentally healthy now, and possibly his mental state was much more ironclad than anyone else's on the team.

One thing he liked about Seone was that, with that iron will, anyone else would have turned into a puddle of crying, complacency, or gone mad like a certain Rinnegan boy, but Seone slowly rose from the deep pit he was in, he didn't shut down, he sought help and was able to heal the wounds in his mind.

Being in an extraordinary world, counseling and psychological methods were not as helpful as mystical advice, so they were not surprised that the last thing Seone needed to complete his improvement process was a good fight.

Now that he was healthy and better than ever, Marie licked her lips and hugged Seone's neck, looking at the latter with a strong sexual desire in her eyes, without any cover, she visually communicated to her partner what she wanted at that moment, and as I said, this guy's sixth sense was pretty good, he understood right away what his girlfriend wanted, so...

"Do you want to fuck?" Seone asked carelessly, making Marie's eyelids twitch a little. She had to make this boy tremble by the end of their session or she wouldn't be considered a true dragoness.

...

"Interesting, isn't it, Minerva?" said a beautiful woman with an incredible physique covered by her lush white hair, wearing a kimono and 9 dancing fox tails made of energy on her back.

She was sitting on the branch of a tree, looking down while wiggling her bare feet like a little girl, but the mischievous look in her eyes and the toothy smile showed that she was not at all fragile like a human puppy.

Under the tree was Minerva, casually dressed in a black top and shorts, her golden eyes looking at the fox with annoyance, remorse, and some expectation, but as she listened to her speak, she couldn't help but snort. White smoke came out of her nose oddly, even though she was a dragon and her element was fear, firebreathing was a basic skill of her kind, as was seduction for multi-tailed foxes.

"Of course, it's interesting that this little snake is my adopted daughter's chosen mate, I could expect nothing less from the vision my species has for choosing mates, we made good choices," Minerva said with pride, so blatant it made the fox raise an eyebrow.

"Alas, just as you chose me, didn't you, Minerva?" the woman asked mockingly, and to emphasize her words, she placed her hands under her ample breasts and raised them as the smile on her face grew inhumanly wider.

"Shut up, Narcissa, you stinking bitch! I won't let you provoke me like that again!" the dragoness shouted indignantly, though her brown skin was slightly flushed, causing Narcissa to burst out laughing.

"Anyway, the humans seem to have more and more outstanding specimens, one deliberately caused a terrible explosion a few days ago, and I have to admit, that archery fight was great. Now that Seone Belmont guy.... phew, what a last name, but his efforts are what got him where he is, not his infamous last name," Narcissa said after a few moments, and although she still had a smile on her face, her eyes were serious.

"Of course, remember that this is the age of humans, not elves, dwarves, or magical creatures, humans. The Will of the World loves them dearly and created them to balance us, though it did not take their favor from us, the favor it holds for them is almost obvious," Minerva said with a tone full of envy, surprisingly there was no hatred or animosity in her voice.

"Oh yes, they are the ones who will be exploring the stars, aren't they?" there was a hint of longing in Narcissa's voice at this point as she looked up at the sky.

No one would like the feeling of knowing that they couldn't get any further on their own, but at least there was hope, unlike the sad elves who went to other worlds and got kicked back.

"Yes, now that the humans recognize me, I feel that if they make plans to go elsewhere outside of our home in the future, I will be able to follow them," Minerva said with a hint of glee in her voice, causing Narcissa to roll her eyes.

"That's your victory, I suppose," Narcissa whispered with envy in her voice.

But at least there was some hope, the stars shine for all without distinction.
