"Back then, I still had little faith in myself, the rabbits, and my own wife," Nagan answered his ancestor's question directly. "Now, I believe in them, of their potential, of their worth, of the amount of affection they had and how they care for one another—much more than that of a mere average family on Earth when the Apocalypse hasn't arrived.
