Pressing the button on the alarm clock the sound stopped and I got up and stretched. Looking around my new room I smiled.

After discussing everything I was shown a few houses which I could stay in. Considering legally that Elena was my mother she gave me a place of residence. While I wanted a small apartment Elena disagreed so I took a small house instead.

"Ugh, it'll be a pain to clean," Leaving my room I then made my way to the kitchen and got a bowl and filled it with cat food.

"Morning teach," I greeted the calico cat that walked in from the living room "Meow,"

"Relax there aren't any secret cameras here I checked," I told him while taking a box of cereal from a brand I didn't recognize "Meow?"

"My gift," with that simple reply I saw him sigh in relief. When I first arrived here I made sure to check if there were any cameras using my gift. However, I asked Alistair to stay as a cat just in case Elena or someone else came to the house without notice.

Honestly, I didn't want Elena to know about him as I felt like that would bring a lot of trouble.

"Oh good," Alistair then looked at the cat food in the bowl "Uh don't you have anything else I can eat?"

"You're a cat," I looked at him with a deadpanned face "Well I'm actually a human,"

"Yeah but biologically right now you're a cat,"

"Damn my gift," hearing him cursing under his breath I turned

"Wait that's your gift? To turn into a cat?" Alistair then looked at me "Yea,"

"And you didn't test out eating cat food?"

"No why would I eat cat food?" he asked "I barely even used my gift when I went to Nexus,"

Pouring a bowl of cereal for myself "I bet it'd be a great undercover gift,"

"Ugh, you sound just like that bastard,"

"Who?"

"Never mind, but quickly finish your meal so we can start your training," Looking at the cat food again I saw him reluctantly take a nibble.

After I finished my bowl of cereal I noticed that Alistair had also finished his food "Not a cat huh," grumbling something under his breath that I couldn't hear I picked up his bowl.

After cleaning the dishes and putting the cat bowl outside we made our way to the basement of the house. Descending the stairs I looked at the pretty empty basement but there was one thing and that was the sandbag that was in the centre.

"Did you bring that here?" I asked "Yes, now sit"

Complying I sat on the floor while I looked at Alistair "Tell me Arthur what exactly do you think is the most important thing for any player?"

Pretending to think for a bit I gave a reply "Is it their technique?"

"That's what most people think but they are wrong," Alistair then started to glow before he turned into a human and thankfully had some clothes on.

Taking a stance Alistair then punched the sandbag causing it to be pushed back a bit "A normal punch requires a person to waste stamina and if the person trains enough they can increase their stamina,"

Alistair took a stance again but this time a milky white hue surrounded his hand.

*SMACK*

This time the bag went a little farther than before "It is the same with mana. The more we punch the more we lose stamina and the more we enhance our bodies the more mana we use,"

"That means we train our mana manipulation?" I asked

"Not quite, have you heard of the term "Flow"?" he asked I nodded "Yeah I have,"

"Flow is a valuable technique even the basic versions are more expensive than a grade 4 and even 5 techniques,"

I made a surprised face "For real?" he nodded

"Now show me how you use your mana," I nodded and got up. Taking a stance I felt the mana in my body move and I controlled it. I then started to punch the sandbag.

"Alright enough," stopping I looked at Alistair "Not bad do you have experience?"

"No, I just practiced," I replied honestly.

"Sit down,"

Following his instructions I sat down and crossed my legs. Feeling Alistair's hand on my back I could also feel his mana enter my body "Now move your mana,"

Closing my eyes I moved my mana through my body.

Alistair looked at the mana flowing in Arthur's body and was impressed. The mana flow in his body was something only people with big backgrounds would have after rigorous teaching but it was a little crude.

"The way you move your mana is quite crude. So follow my mana movements,"

Nodding Arthur observed the mana moving through his body. After a bit, Arthur started to follow Alistair's movements with his own.

Observing his movements Alistair smiled before turning into a cat "Now start punching,"

"Alright you can stop now, she's here," touching the bag to stop it from moving I let out a breath. Making my way to the stairs I exited the basement with Alistair.

Seeing Amanda I greeted her "Morning,"

"Good morning I'm here to take you to the guild,"

"Give me a sec," I looked at myself "I need to take a shower,"

After getting dressed I made my way outside the house and into the car. Alistair on the other hand said he was going to explore the new neighbourhood. While Amanda was surprised by Alistair I just told her he was a stray I cleaned up. She seemed to accept it but told me I should take him to the vet.

As I was in the car I thought about my situation. While it wasn't bad it would impact the plot immensely however, I had come to a realization.

This world wasn't exactly the novel world or to be more precise my novel. This world is probably the world of the book that was delivered to me. This can be inferred as I remembered something important. In the parts I read Arthur Irwin was ranked 11 in Nexus.

This rank originally should've belonged to one of the heroines in the novel which was what led me to my conclusion. And if I had to take a guess "The Lady of the Stars" or whatever she called herself was the reason for my transmigration.

Now this was really a bit of a stretch if I'm being honest, but how could you explain the new religion? While you could argue that it was in the book I have my doubts.

However, the only thing I still couldn't figure out was the motive.

Why bring me here? What exactly was their goal?

But I wanted to know something else. Was I related to Arthur in any way? Like a reincarnation or something?

But I doubted it. The story I created was just a bunch of novels combined together into a somewhat decent story which wasn't anything special.

However, I was soon pulled out of my thoughts as we arrived at the guild building. Exiting the car I was guided into the building and I noticed there weren't as many people as last time. Giving me a pass we got into the elevator and Amanda pressed the button for the basement.

-Ding!

When the door opened I exited "Ms. Elena would like to meet you in room 2007"

"You're not coming?" Amanda shook her head "I'm afraid I have to supervise some dungeon teams,"

Nodding I looked at the door and soon found the number I was looking for "2003, 2005, aaannndd room 2007,"

Scanning the pass on the scanner I watched it turn green before the door opened revealing a giant white room.

"Ah, you're finally here,"
