Chapter 223: Building out the Capital
Me and my remaining wives showed my sister around for the rest of the day and then introduced the family to their new home and showed them how to get water out of the taps, start the stove, turn on the air-conditioning and how to enter and set the password on their door. After that we said our goodbyes and I told my sister that I'd send someone around to give the children their school supplies and school ID's and that they'll show her where to take them.
She was really happy that her kids were getting opportunities she couldn't when she was a child so she was crying in happiness a little as she gave me a hug and thanked me deeply. I reciprocated before breaking it off and leaving, waving as i went.
With that all sorted and my wives all happy at knowing I had some more family, I quickly started to travel through Atlantis placing my building expansions and new districts. First up was the Webway Gate System building which actually a huge arched spire with numerous purple gems along its curve that shined a cerulean light every few seconds. I placed the structure within the Space Ship Manufactorum, at the back of the facility, placed in such a way that ships would be able to use the Webway if necessary. What also came with it was a huge extension to the Space Ship Manufactorum that allowed for the production of smaller and larger Webway gates. The entire extension matched the building but had an ethereal blue glow to the metal and structural elements of the building that made it seem highly mystical.
Following that I placed several new district, some binding the outer city segments to the inner city. The first i placed was the Hospital District. It was a large district with all of the medical sectors and buildings you could think of, it was a one-stop-shop area. Its building were all pristine white and glowed under the sun, as if the buildings themselves were blessed by some higher entity than even me. The second was Fire Emergency District it was placed right next to the hospital and had helicopters, hover trucks and even several runways for small planes. The buildings were a mix of red and white and didn't glow but stuck out amongst the monochrome colours of the Hospital District. Next was the Police/Justice District where a massive 200 story building rose out from the little card in my hand, appearing next to the Fire EM District (EM=Emergency). Its architecture was grand and marvellous as the building spiralled in a helix pattern before ending with a flat square roof with a helicopter pad at the top.
The next stop was in near the Android Manufactorum where i was going to place the Military Base District and Academy District. When i appeared there, there were hundreds of Androids waiting to get activated so i had to contact Pixel to come and sort out the new batch of androids. Moving off from that I easily chose spots between Atlantis and the other city segments in which i placed the two districts. Funnily enough as soon as I placed them adjacent to one another a change occurred to the two buildings.

'... Wasn't expecting that...'
I watched as the military base merged with the academy district and became a massively tall structure reaching upwards of 200 floors, with the official flag of our Imperium. At the top of the building was a connection for the transport system that soon moved out and connected with the other closest segments of the transport system. The entire building was shaped Hexagonally and had areas where there were separate segmented buildings that only had a bridge connecting them to the main building. The grounds of the new structure was cordoned off by shielding technology and there were parade grounds, armouries, defence towers, AA emplacements, Helicopter landing on the roofs of the buildings and a runway at the back of the area. The district was very massive and took up half of he waterway between Atlantis and the North City Segment. I looked through the district with my eyes and easily felt satisfied as there was numerous VR tech training rooms, gyms, classrooms, armouries, garages for weapons, ammunition dumps and a teacher's block.
I was happy, this is good and now that i knew two districts of a similar or boosting nature could join it would change my philosophy in creating these districts. With that said I whisked myself to the farmer's district and added the Horticulture Expansion and Underwater farms expansion. The district became larger in height and depth as floors below the city began to be built, certain areas sucking in the water of the ocean, cleansing it and watering fields that were layed out within 20 kilometre wide floors. Shields held back the water pressure and allowed this process to safely occur whilst the Ocean water was desalinated. Meanwhile the Horticulture Expansion enhanced all of the already existing vertical farms and newly created Underwater Farms, adding a whole new system of UV lighting, Fertilizer manufacturing and a multitude of different types of plants/seeds.
I watched as the entire district shined and expanded out into a larger width half way up the building by 100 meters, creating a tiered building reaching upwards. After that I went to the top of the Control Tower and placed the Helicopter Landing pad Extension. Just as you would expect the roof became flat and gained a massive H with staircases leading downwards into the gate room.
I swept backwards with my wings as these structures completed and Atlantis gained some new additions to its skyline.
