Wow, we reached +100 brothers and sisters in such a short time, Thank you so much for the powerstones and support *^ I will add another chapter after 2h,

----

Lisa had left, leaving behind a group of stunned onlookers.

Their minds couldn't quite wrap around what had just happened. They were astonished by Lisa's forwardness and the casual way she tossed her bank card.

Equally shocking was Deluk's extraordinary composure. If it had been any of them, they probably would've been stammering and blushing by now.

Watching Lisa walk away, Kyel quickly approached Deluk again, poking him on the arm and staring wide-eyed, "Dude, that was Lisa, and you're just cool with it?"

While speaking, Kyel wiggled his eyebrows and grinned mischievously, "If you played your cards right with Lisa, with her background, you'd have struck gold! Cling to her, and you might save yourself 500 years of struggle!"

Tucking the bank card into his pocket nonchalantly, Deluk responded, "It was just a transaction. I saved her life; she paid me. That's all."

Kyel, hearing this, was somewhat exasperated, "Man, don't just look at these small gains! We need to think long-term, strategically, you know?"

Deluk, uninterested in further discussion, bowed his head and focused inward, studying the strand-like spiritual energy in his mind.

Of course, this 'strand' of energy was relative. To a cultivator at the foundation stage, it would've been as vast as the Pacific Ocean.

Their conversation slowly spread throughout the class.

Many who heard it couldn't help but feel a sense of irony. Deluk was just a poor kid with limited experience.

Didn't he realize how many in the school would kill for a chance to connect with Lisa? Yet, all he thought about was money, which seemed ludicrous to them.

So mundane!

...

...

During the noon break, Deluk was called into the office by the homeroom teacher, Sara Greenwood. She sighed and lectured him for a long time.

She warned him not to be so reckless next time, telling him that even if he had feelings for someone, he shouldn't be careless with his own life. Especially since he had a heart condition, any shock could be dangerous.

Deluk just smiled and nodded, neither arguing nor talking back.

So after a while, Sara, finding no joy in her lecture, carefully checked Deluk's hands and complexion to ensure he was alright, then let him go.

As Deluk stepped out of the office, a stunning figure was waiting for him.

Who else could it be but Lisa?

The girl had calmed down by now, her usual smile returning. She stood with her hands behind her back, unblinkingly gazing at Deluk.

She wondered to herself, how had she not noticed before? There was someone this good-looking in their school?

Deluk stepped back under her intense gaze. "What's up?"

Lisa tiptoed slightly and then, pretending to be casual, averted her gaze. "Come with me, I need to talk to you."

Deluk frowned, "Why didn't you say so this morning?"

"This morning, the classroom was too crowded, it wasn't the right place. Besides, don't you want to know why that person wanted to kill me?"

"I don't."

Deluk's response was swift.

Lisa was taken aback, biting her lip in frustration, "Well, you have to!"

She grabbed Deluk's arm. "Come on, follow me."

Deluk didn't resist, letting her lead the way.

He had already sensed something but chose not to bother with it.

Since Lisa was insistent on speaking, he figured it wouldn't hurt to listen.

Lisa led Deluk up the stairs to the rooftop.

The day was clear, the sky a perfect blue.

She let go of his hand and turned to face him with a serious expression.

"Normally, an official representative should be having this conversation with you, but I refused them. I wanted to tell you myself."

"Deluk, you saved my life."

"You might not understand what that means."

As she spoke, a hint of pride appeared on her face, a superiority that seemed innate.

"I'm a true genius, excelling in every aspect. That's undeniable."

Her confidence was absolute.

Despite being new to the path of cultivation and not even reaching the threshold of Qi training.

But her master, Sophia, had publicly declared:

-"My disciple Lisa has the potential for foundation building!"-

Since the resurgence of spiritual energy, it's been over a year, and the total number of foundation-building cultivators in the country is still meager.

And most of them are elders from large sects.

"Deluk, have you ever read novels about immortality and cultivation?"

Facing Lisa's direct gaze, Deluk raised an eyebrow, "A bit."

Lisa bit her finger, her expression hesitant. She hadn't decided yet whether to involve this boy in her world.

After all, for a regular person, living an ordinary life might also be a form of happiness.

But she soon shook her head. It had been over a year since the resurgence of spiritual energy. Even if the world tried to hide it, the truth would eventually come out.

So, it was better for Deluk to know these secrets sooner. Perhaps it would even bring him some opportunities in the future.

"The things I'm about to tell you should be easy for you to understand then."

She spoke slowly, "Our country's culture is ancient, stretching back over five thousand years. The earliest records of cultivation trace back to the Qi practitioners of the Qin dynasty."

"With technological advancements and the changing times, people seem to have forgotten these truths. The once flourishing Taoist sects, with thousands of followers, gradually faded from public view."

She looked at Deluk, emphasizing each word, "But what I'm telling you is not a modern-day fantasy. Cultivation is real."

Lisa finished in one breath, expecting Deluk to react with shock and disbelief, just like she had when she first heard this news.

But Deluk just nonchalantly acknowledged her words, not even bothering to lift his eyelids.

As if what Lisa was saying wasn't some earth-shattering secret but rather a mundane, uninteresting fact like asking if he had eaten.

"Hey, do you think I'm joking with you?"

Lisa couldn't help but blurt out, Deluk's calm demeanor was unsettling to her.

Was her explanation too shallow, making Deluk think she was joking?

Seeing Deluk shake his head, Lisa's lips twitched.

'This isn't right!'

'Shouldn't he be gasping in shock, looking at me in awe?! Why was he so calm?'

'As if he had cultivated himself!'

Lisa pursed her lips, "Aren't you surprised at all?"

Hearing this, Deluk paused for two seconds, then, imitating Kyel's sarcastic tone, said flatly, "Wow, amazing, who would've thought cultivation really exists!"

Lisa's eyes darkened, "Forget it, I'm not going to argue with you."

She patted her chest, causing a ripple of movement of her bosom "I can't tell you too much right now. Even what I've said today wasn't supposed to be revealed to you."

"The assassination attempt involves complex powers, and it's not easy to explain in a short time. But you don't need to worry about it. My family and the Greenfield Mountain will handle it."

"You know about Greenfield Mountain, right? It's in Ronaki. That's why I transferred here. It's one of the top Taoist schools, along with Dragonlake Mountain in the capital. They have a long history and numerous traditions. They've benefited the most from the resurgence of spiritual energy. Even the government doesn't dare to openly oppose them."

After finishing, she grabbed Deluk's hand, "I'm telling you all this for one reason."

"You saved my life, and I found out you have a severe congenital heart disease. I can't just stand by and do nothing, you know?"

"So, come with me to the capital. Even if the doctors can't help, I can take you to my master. She must have a way!"

Deluk listened quietly.

He hadn't expected that his simple intervention, thinking it was just a chance to earn some gold coins, would lead the girl to take it so seriously.

Not only did she offer to take him to the capital for a check-up, but she was also ready to ask her master for help in the worst-case scenario.

Should he say it or not, Lisa was genuinely kind.

But the thing was, Deluk wasn't sick at all...

Deluk sighed, "I appreciate your concern, but I'm not sick. Dr. Ron said so, my health is fine."

Lisa's brows furrowed, "But he also said it wasn't certain!"
