Chapter 10: Morgan (Part 2)
Jake POV
I see that Morgan is not willing to lower his gun as he looks at the wolves surrounding his son, I order them to back away to relieve his tensions. He lowers the gun and explains about how they have been living after the plague started, how the dead started rising to pray on the living.
Morgan also told us that he and his boy were staying in Rick's neighbor's house while they were looking for supplies nearby and while in search they reached Rick's house looking for supplies.
With all the tension gone from the room I lowered my gun and invited Rose into the room and asked Morgan if he had seen Rick's family. I know Rick's wife is with Shane camped outside of Atlanta city somewhere in the woods with other survivors.
Morgan told us that when his family of 3 moved into the neighbor everyone was gone
Rick POV
I look around the place for the last time and see that all the family photos are missing, if it was clothes I will not care as looters may have taken it but why will someone take others family photos. I know Lori values the family photos very much and will not leave them even in the end of the earth. This means Lois and Carl make it out of this. I need to find them whenever they may have gone.
I need to check at Lois' parents home, it's mostly the place where she will take Carl to seek shelter and protection. Going back to the living room I talk to Jake that Lois and Carl have left to find shelter somewhere else, I need to find them. I tell Jake I want to go to Atlanta where her parents live, it's mostly where I will find them. Jake tells me he will help me find my family. I know that I have not known Jake personally for that long but I know he was close with Shane, Carl. I trust him.
Jake POV
Rick figures out that Lori and Carl have left for Atlanta. I know I would like to follow Rick and find the main cast of WD as they are more trustworthy as I know most of them. But I need to ask what Rose wants to do. I would like to take her with me but it's her choice. I turn around facing Rose, I see her looking at me. I tell her what I'm planning on doing.
Rose: do do not leave me, take me with you
I see Fenrir, Thor, Rex, Dawn moving closer to Rose and Thor rubbing against her while looking at me. I know that they really care for Rose as they never had another person then me to play with but now Rose spends a lot of time playing with them.
Fenrir: Let's take her with us dad
Thor: I will not leave without her 😏
Rex: its unwise to leave her behind
Dawn: I like her father, It's more fun to have another calm female around then brother Thor who is a muscle headed monkey in wolf skin 😒, Fenrir the sloth, Rex Wise one
While laughing a little because of Dawn, I hug Rose and tell her, It would be great to have her with us in our search for Rick's Family.
After Rose calmed down, I turned to ask Morgan what he has planned on doing now that the world has gone to hell. He told us the same thing, he told Rick in the Tv show. He was planning to stay here and not wanting to leave his wife, who has been turned. But with more convincing from Rick, he was willing to leave for his son's future but first he wanted to let his wife rest.
Rick of course also told us about his idea of going to the police station to get some more guns. Which was a great idea as more guns and ammo, we have the safer it will be later against other survivors. I would rather not waste my Z coins on buying ammo, as while I was scrolling in the system store. I found that there were NPCs packs- Doctors, builders, soldiers, cooks, ects. Of which I can unlock and purchase after building a camp that the system recognizes as a territory under me. But that's for the future.
I got the jeep ready to go, Rick jumped into the co-pilot seat, everyone else in back. (Making my way down town la la lol) We arrived at the police station. It looked looted, the front gate was broken, the ground was covered in blood, Internal organs. Morgan, me were ok but the kids and Rick threw up near the jeep.
I was scared they would throw up near my daughter, Dawn and get a paw to the face. But luckily they were little behind her and me. Clearing the walkers near the station, We made our way into the armory, it was looted, 3 walkers were inside the armory. Dawn and her brothers take care of the walkers. We picked up what was left while Rick went to get the keys to the vault inside the secret room. Inside were mostly guns, ammos, and hand guns. Packing everything we can We moved them into the jeep while I hid and put the rest into inventory. Making our way back to Rick's house, I asked Morgan for anything that had his wife's scent so my pack can track her down before the sun sets.
Separating into four teams
1. Dawn & Rose 2. Thor & Morgan-son pair
3. Rick & Rex and 4. me & Fenrir
We move out to search for Jenny.
Few hours later
I found Jenny a couple roads down, in the backyard of a house and she seemed to be stuck in a wooden fence wall.
Heading back to get Morgan, After I ask Rose and Dawn to play with Morgan's son. We headed to the place where I found Jenny. Morgan started crying, He first did not want to but Rick helped Morgan move on and that she was not alive but only the dead that hunts the living. Morgan gives Jenny peace while Rick and I tell him that he did the right thing by letting her rest. Getting back to Rick's house, we give some time for Morgan to grief. After a day's rest, in the morning we pack our things into the jeep and a van which Morgan brought from near the place where Jenny was found.
As the sun is rising, we make our way to Atlanta.
