Chapter 52: Let's Call It a Day

The world was dark. If this was what death was like, I should add immortality to the list of things to achieve. I sighed.

It seemed like everything was going according to plan so far. The rest was just up to Rowan, and whether or not he was able to pull off that spell… Wait, what if our contract and summon became void when I died!? Why didn't I think of that?

I mentality beat myself up for making a dumb miscalculation. Since Rowan's class was Overlord, he had an ability called Raise. It's different from the Resurrection, a skill that Saints, aka Luna, had. Raise brought people back to life, but it had one major side effect. If I didn't get life essence within five minutes of coming back, I would become a mindless zombie who served Rowan.

Rowan didn't seem interested in having a mindless servant, but he could have been lying. Either way, there was no point in thinking about what ifs if I didn't come back from the dead. I sighed again.
