The airship finally reached its destination, and Brontes descended, pulling the two priests towards the temple.

Although the locals called it a temple, its splendor and grandeur made it appear more like a royal palace compared to the surrounding buildings in Skypiea.

Noticing Brontes's approach, the guards led by Priest Gedatsu sprang into action.

"Who are you?" Asked Gedatsu as he and his soldiers closed in around Brontes.

"Hmph!"

Responding with a disinterested snort, Brontes unleashed his powerful Conqueror's Haki, swiftly incapacitating everyone in his vicinity. Brushing off the fallen guards, he continued on his path towards the temple.

Shura and Ohm, restrained by crackling lightning chains, felt a surge of fear as they witnessed Brontes effortlessly knocking out their comrades with just a snort, without raising a hand.

"ZliZli!"

Without warning, a bolt of purple lightning shot towards Brontes from the temple, resembling a sharp sword.

Brontes calmly extended his hand, channeling the lightning into his own body where it enveloped him before vanishing.

Having cast Shura and Ohm aside, Brontes turned his attention to a blond man who had appeared before him.

"Enel," Brontes said with a chuckle: "It's nice meeting you again. It looks like you've obtained the power of lightning unexpectedly."

Puzzled by Brontes's resilience, Enel furrowed his brow and inquired: "Who are you?"

Despite his attempts to unleash his lightning abilities on Brontes, they proved ineffective as Brontes effortlessly absorbed the energy.

Adding to his confusion, Enel found that his Mantra was unable to anticipate Brontes's movements or even detect his heartbeat, leaving him utterly shocked by this unfamiliar and unprecedented situation.

"You must be surprised, right? By the way how is Birka now?" Brontes asked Enel, sounding like they were old acquaintances.

"Birka? You know about Birka. You're not an ordinary Blue Sea resident, are you?" Enel stared at Brontes with interest.

"Well, I am from the Blue Sea, but I've traveled to Skypiea and Birka. It took me quite a while to reach Birka." Brontes sighed and said.

"So, you're familiar with Birka." Enel noted, before bursting into laughter: "Yahaha! Birka has long been gone. I destroyed it myself, every last inhabitant wiped out."

"Clap! Clap!"

Instead of receiving anger, Enel was met with applause from Brontes.

With a smile, Brontes said: "Nicely done. What I couldn't accomplish, you did. Honestly, I also intended to destroy Birka, but couldn't make it in time. If I had destroyed Birkah thirty years ago, maybe even you, would have been killed by me. You should thank me for not destroying Birka, or else you'd be dead by now."

"Thirty years ago?!" Enel's laughter ceased as he stared at Brontes in astonishment.

"Feeling confused, are you? Back then, you were just a young kid facing daily bullying from others. I remember those days as if it happened just yesterday." Brontes smiled and said.

Realization struck Enel: "You were the one responsible for destroying the Temple?" He asked, fixing Brontes with an intense gaze.

"Yes, it was me." Brontes confirmed nonchalantly.

"Impossible! You look younger than me." Enel shook his head, finding it hard to believe that the youthful man before him was the perpetrator of the temple's destruction and the killing of the Head Priest thirty years ago.

"Indeed, I've hardly aged in the past twenty years, even though I am forty-six." Brontes replied.

"You were the one who took the divine object from the Temple, right?" Enel glared fiercely at Brontes.

"That's correct, this is what I got from the temple back then." Brontes said, lifting his hand with lightning crackling within.

"ZliZli!"

"I'm curious. How do you possess the ability to manipulate lightning just like me?" Brontes asked Enel with curiosity.

Enel's eyes widened as he saw the lightning in Brontes's hand, similarly lifting his hand, a ball of purple lightning jumping continuously.

Enel swiftly attacked, sending a purple lightning fist hurtling towards Brontes.

"Lightning Fist!"

"Boom! Rumble!"

Brontes raised his hand and calmly accepted Enel's attack.

The clash was intense, with sparks flying and bolts of lightning descending, scorching the clouds beneath them with searing heat.

Enel and Brontes stood face to face, their palms meeting in a clash of blue and purple lightning, intertwining and colliding.

"Yahaha!"

Enel's laughter resonated as they separated with a rumble. Then Enel retreated, creating some distance between himself and Brontes.

"Yahahaha! It appears you too have got the power of gods, but there can only be one true god, and that's me, Enel." Enel declared with laughter, wielding a golden rod and drumming behind him.

"Doom!"

"30,000,000 V, Thunder Wolf!"

A purple lightning bolt in the shape of a wolf shot out from the drum towards Brontes.

Unfazed by Enel's assault, Brontes remained still, simply yawning in response.

"A little disappointing." Brontes said, unfazed by the lightning wolf, as his gaze was fixed on Enel in the distance.

Enel, accustomed to feeling invincible, paid no heed to Brontes's comment. Despite facing someone with similar abilities, he remained confident in his superiority.

"Rumble! Boom!"

The lightning wolf charged at Brontes, releasing a powerful surge of lightning that seemed to consume him.

However, once the lightning dispersed, only a sizable crater marked the impact.

"Tch, it's already over, this is all you got." Enel couldn't sense Brontes's presence and thought he had killed him with that strike, turning to walk towards the Temple.

"To be honest, I'm quite disappointed."

Enel barely had a chance to turn around before hearing Brontes's voice once more.

Enel swiftly turned back, thrusting his fist towards Brontes.

"God's Judgment!"

A column of lightning erupted from Enel's fist, a divine judgment that not only could be manifested but also delivered through a punch, making it even more potent at close range.

"Boom! Rumble!"

Despite being engulfed once again by lightning, Brontes emerged unscathed after the electric storm dissipated, standing firmly in the same spot.

"What?!" Enel furrowed his brow, realizing his power seemed ineffective against Brontes as he contemplated his next move.

"You think you're a God with this feeble strength?" Brontes taunted Enel, his voice laced with disdain.

"Damn it! I'll show you what it's like to face a god." Enel shouted angrily, lowering his hand and advancing towards Brontes with the golden rod crackling with lightning.

"Thunderforge!"

Enel invoked, causing the rod to transform into a trident with sharp spikes due to the intense heat generated by the lightning.

"Hu!" Enel drove the trident into Brontes's chest.

"Too weak." Enel believed he had triumphed, but upon meeting Brontes's unyielding gaze, his confidence wavered.

Those eyes held an intimidating defiance, exuding a potent strength reminiscent of a disappointed father observing his son's failed exam.

"To be honest, I was quite looking forward to meeting you. Even though I took the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, but you still managed to obtain another lightning-based Devil Fruit, it seems fate cannot be predetermined." Brontes shook his head and said.

Enel's glance fell to where his trident had struck Brontes's chest. However, to his surprise, Brontes did not disintegrate as expected; instead, he absorbed and resisted the attack with his own body.

"Puff! Boom!"

Before Enel could react, Brontes delivered a powerful blow to his face, propelling him through the air.

"God!"

Ohm and Shura watched in astonishment as Brontes sent Enel flying, their disbelief written clearly on their faces.

Enel, considered invincible due to his Logia powers, had never before been bested in such a manner.

Enel rose to his feet, eyes locked on Brontes, his face bearing a clear imprint of the powerful strike.

Sensing a tickle in his nose, Enel's touch revealed blood on his hand, a rarity since gaining the power of the devil fruit.

"This..." Enel realized it had been a long time since he last bled.

"Surprised, right? You never expected my fist to make you bleed. You see, the gap between us is too vast." Brontes's voice echoed once more. By the time Enel raised his head, Brontes was already standing before him.

"So fast!" Enel wanted to create distance instinctively but found himself unable to move.

With a touch on Enel's shoulder, Brontes rendered him powerless.

Enel, who moments ago could have launched an attack, now struggled to muster even his fruit abilities.

"The difference between us isn't just about devil fruit abilities. You're just too weak." Brontes said as lightning surged in his hand.

"Rumble! ZliZli!"

"ZliZli!"

Thunderous energy enveloped Enel, who, despite his familiarity with wielding lightning, now experienced its ferocity firsthand, unable to activate his own powers.

"Ah!"

Enel, typically the one unleashing lightning, now bore the brunt of its force. Perplexed by his fruit's inexplicable inactivity, he began to question if his devil fruit was a weaker version of Brontes's.

After a pause, Brontes stopped the onslaught. Enel, on his knees, was emitting a burnt scent with vacant, white eyes.

"Now, tell me about your fruit ability." Brontes's put his hands in his pockets, as he leaned down and asked Enel.

Enel remained in a kneeling position, clearly unable to recover from the shock yet. Brontes wanted to give him some time to recover, so he entered the Temple to explore.

However, upon Brontes return, Enel was nowhere to be found.

"Do you think you can escape from me?" Brontes coldly chuckled.
