"Han, can you meet me at the staff after you finish your break? There are few things to discuss about the quiz competition.
Being one of the top students in my intake means a lot to me. When people or teachers acknowledged me for my academic achievements, it felt as if I had won a Nobel Prize. I took my studies very seriously, second only after my appearance. Imagine being a top student, quite rich and famous, and having boys chase after me. In conclusion, a perfect life. And that's how everyone sees me—a perfect boy.
"Sure... I also have a few things to discuss with you regarding the quiz. I'll try to finish my food asap."
I replied with a smile.
As soon as she left the class,
"Fuck you, miss."
I am not a disrespectful student, at least in front of the teachers. It's not like I've never heard students talk shit about me being two faces—an angel in front of teachers but a bitch behind their backs.
"Can you guys speed up? I have to meet Miss Clara after this.
"About the quiz? Again? How many competitions did you join? Aren't you tired already?" Kim said
"You also join a lot of quiz competitions, more than me, so don't get me started."
"You both are lucky to be given such an opportunity to join the competition. I wish I could too."Samuel said
"One day you will, okay? But I suggest you join some and collect those certificates," Fadly said.
This is my circle, my group of friends. We started to be so close in 9th grade.
"How about you just meet Miss Clara by yourself, Han? Fadly has to finish his English homework, and Samuel has to meet the principal to talk about the upcoming school assembly, while I have to meet the juniors in the library to discuss our project together." Kim explained
"Damn, we're so booked and busy. I feel like a celebrity, you know?"
Kim is also a top student, just like me, so he always joins competitions outside or inside the school. The only difference is that he did it effortlessly, while I had to work extremely hard. Samuel is the head prefect of the school. Even though he is not very smart, he's a good-disciplined student who teachers adore.

I walked out of the staff after finish discussing with miss Clara about my quiz. My face probably didn't show it, but I am actually nervous about it. Even though I have already joined many quiz competitions before, I still haven't gotten used to them.
"Han!"
I turned my back to see Sarah waving and walking toward me.
"I just want to ask whether you are interested in joining our 'No Plastic' project." She asked
"I'm already booked and busy with my upcoming quiz competition, so... I'm sorry, but I'll just pass... Sorry Sarah..." I said
"It's fine! I was just asking whether you're interested or not. Don't feel sorry, okay?" She comforts me.
Sarah and I are not that close. You could say that we are friends, but we rarely talk to each other. Usually, we just exchange hellos.
"Well, then I'm going to my class. Sorry again, Sarah." I walked away.

I was wiping the whiteboard when suddenly Saff talked to me.
"Han... What are you doing?" He asked softly.
Since when?
"Huh? Oh. I'm just cleaning a little. Why?"
"You're so kind and amazing. Why are you like this?" He said while smiling.
Weird...
"Hahahahaha.... Thank you.... This is not like you. What do you want, saff?" I laughed and asked nervously.
He then leans forward toward me and whispers in my ears.
"Please don't get so close to Sarah. Please..."
